I went back to the LGS, since they had drafting tonight (they do drafts on alternate weeks). I was feeling pretty tired since I stayed up late last night and didn't sleep well (I got less than six hours sleep). However, I ended up toughing it out.

The other EDH deck I've been dying to build is Kresh the Bloodbraided.

What does Kresh love? Kresh loves creatures dying. In EDH, there are roughly three categories of creatures that die:
1) Creatures with useful self-destruct abilities. (Sakura-Tribe Elder)
2) Creatures being fed into sac outlets; frequently these creatures have good LTB or Dies triggers. (Greater Good, Seedguide Ash)

The LGS did a standard constructed tournament (boo) so I went to a SF game store with my friend today. We left Marin at 4:25 p.m. and parked at the SF game store at 5:10 p.m. Even though the tournament was advertised as starting at 5:30 p.m., we didn't start cracking packs for the draft until 6:15 p.m. (erggg)

I forgot my playmat, so my cards got gross.

I rolled out of bed at 8AM. Today was a Standard PTQ for PT Seattle downtown. Obviously, I had no deck, and wouldn't be playing. But there's always time for side drafts!

Our performance these past 6 weeks has pretty much been perfectly average. I'm not exactly thrilled with those results. I'd like to be able to consistently pilot this deck to 3-1 and better. I truly believe that mono-black pox is more than capable of putting up those kinds of results. This means that if I want to improve that I really need to reevaluate my decision making process.
