Before we get to the tournament report, I'd like to start this week's post off with a few things. First, I've been noticing a lot of tournament reporting and event blogging on the Pox Primer thread, which is totally awesome! Keep it coming folks. I personally feel that these reports are an asset to magic players, both readers and writers. It creates an environment where people can see lines of play they may have never thought about, and gives writers time to reflect on their play and decision...

Recently, there has been a lot of discussion about the long-term viability of the Legacy format. Detractors of the format point to the Reserved List as the likely source of its demise. Proponents note that the format has only been growing in popularity despite these limitations and that the downfall of Legacy is nowhere in sight. Last week I went to the store, but we didn't have enough players to fire a tournament, so we missed a week. Subsequently, we're a week behind on the blog, but I'll make it up to you guys at the end.

I was experimenting with a helm of obedience combo build, but after staring at it, and goldfishing forever, it just felt too clunky. I did keep some cards from the build in (mainly enlightened tutor), but the core is the same as my previous list:

People really need to stop hating on Sneak Show decks. I always see people moaning and groaning how it is too good of a deck and keeps winning. Do not get me wrong Sneak Show is a very good deck but is it good enough to get Show and Tell banned? No.

Show and Tell is a very powerful card. No, it is not overpowered it is POWERFUL. Yes is can be stopped and yes many decks run cards that can easy stop this.

Hi everyone! A few things have happened since Episode 7. First, our local legacy tournaments have been moved to Tuesday from Wednesday. This is a minor inconvenience for me, but some of the other regulars can't make Tuesdays. Last week we ended up not having enough players, and the tournament was cancelled.
