I was playing Braids, Cabal Minion, partly because I wanted to see if it really was banworthy in 1v1 and partly because I didn't have time to get my Vorosh, The Hunter deck where I wanted it. Of course, I didn't have time to get Braids optimized and miss-evaluated some things.

I totally forgot Helm of Possession. Big lapse on my part :P (Hell, I almost forgot Sinkhole and Sensei's Divining Top...) I completely misjudged how important graveyard hate would be, as Crucible of Worlds...

I built Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind EDH this week. I was a little curious what the fuss was about (as noone in the local area has built it), and I own about all the busted blue cards for EDH but have yet to build an actual blue EDH deck (I have built Child of Alara and Horde of Notions, but there was no permission in those decks).

I put together a G/W ramp list with some emphasis on sweepers but a big emphasis on life gain (4xFinks, 2xShepherd, 3xBaneslayer). First round I lose to B/R with SGC and Demigod (likes his 5 drops apparently). Better draws would've pulled out I think, but I should probably go from 4 SB slots against red to 6 (considering the meta) and MD more Primal Command. I hate Baneslayer Angel.

By this, I mean that I really want Baneslayer Angels (like a playset of them), but managed to not open a single one out of three boxes (and another 16 or so random packs). Noone wants to trade them either so I've only managed to acquire one so far. This does put a bit of a crimp in my plans to play G/W Ramp (board-control style).
