This is true. I'm really lucky in that the new place is barely 5 minutes from my parents' house. It'll make moving easier, but I still have to scrounge up some boxes. Daidream's helping out a lot. Plus she's helping me find a good car to get and job listings. She is amazing.

As for moving out of the nest, I can't wait. My mom is worried and it seems like she wants me to stay, but I know it's a big step and I'll have to start considering things I took for granted before (food, transportation, etc).

It's always hard on Mom when her offspring moves out of the house. It probably won't be as bad for you since you are moving right down the street.

    Also, hi.
    Uhh

Hey everyone! How's it going? I'm back after like 3+ months of no posting again. Smile

Not a ton of new stuff going on with me. Still working, still going to school, though I'm on break right now. I did, however, move again. This time into an apartment with my brother.

My dad moved out to North Carolina, and sold his house, but agreed to pay for an apartment for me and my brother for a year, while we are still going to school. To me, it seems a little selfish, but that's the way life is sometimes. Gotta roll with the punches and go with the flow.

Anyway, I've been having an itch to get back into Magic, lately. The most recent stuff I have is a few things from Time Spiral. What would be the best way to go about catching up? I know some stores won't sell some of the older sets, but perhaps I should focus more on the new stuff since its there.

I'm off for now. See ya later.

Oooo, boy. What a morning. I had to take my dad to the airport at around 5 this morning, and being the Night Owl that I am, I stayed up for it. Got home around 6, slept until 10, just in time to meet the guy from Comcast at the door, to hook up that new-fangled Digital Voice thingy. After that, I went back to sleep until about 1:30, and finally got up the motivation to take down the Christmas Tree and get some cleaning done around the house while my dad is out of town.

I also finished my first week of classes, and it doesn't seem to be too dreadful. My accounting class sounds to be the most fun as the instructor is giving away a prize to the person with the highest grade in the class: A week at his condo in Mexico. Sounds like a sweet deal to me, so I'm gonna be trying my best to get a nice vacation. Smile

Other than that, I finally got around to beat Tales of Symphonia a month ago. And lately, I've been playing Mega Man 1-3 on my Wii, so I went ahead and bought the Anniversary Collection and the X Collection on eBay after searching 10+ stores in the area for 'em.

I don't have very many plans for the rest of the weekend, except to see the Eagles get a relaxing bus ride to the Super Bowl. Grin

    How about everyone else?

Hello everyone! I'm see that (almost) everyone's holiday season went well. I haven't been up to very much other than WoW and enjoying my break from classes. I start 'em up again on the 12th.

Congrats on getting that job, Omna! Smile

You mean 300lb pumpkins, right? In Circleville, they have a pumpkin festival every year, and the size of the biggest pumpkins is truly a sight to behold. They have to bring the things in with trucks, flat-carts, and/or wheelbarrows. That's to say nothing of the true record-holders grown by those actually attempting to break the record for pumpkin size...

I didn't know pumpkins got THAT big! Still at that size, you'd probably look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Or the Professor when Bender bent him the wrong way, haha. :p

I agree with you Guardman about the seriousness of an anime in relation to "over-inflation" (:D). I think most insane-type comedy animes will throw something wacky in there for fun. Like the sword in Abenobasi. Big-boobs monsters are scary!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I despise Christmas music ever since working in a grocery store. They start playing it in mid-November and continue to do so all the way through until Christmas. While normally this might sound festive and gleeful, when you're working for 8-hours it becomes frighteningly apparent how few Christmas songs there are out there. Granted there's a ton of different versions of each one but by the 4th time I've heard jingle bell rock in a day, I want to shove a toblerone bar into my ears.

This. This is exactly what I think every single day when I'm at work.

Also, ani-boobs are good. But not the ones that are the size of those giant-ass 30-someodd pound pumpkins that you see winning contests around Halloween.

You sir are wrong. Megaman was the best cartoon ever made. Smileup

Thank you for that. I feel like I'm 12 years old again. Smile The Megaman cartoon was freakin' awesome.

Yeah, Renton is sort of different from most in that your are supposed to think he is a bit of an awkward, cocky, lovesick, naive jerk at first and then you are supposed to grow to like him as the story goes on. He is not supposed to be liked right away.

Personally, I was a big fan of Dominik (sp?). He has similarities to Renton, as well as not really being a part of the big evil plan. And he gets to be around sweet Anemone. Love

I can't wait until I can get my hands on a copy. I don't have it pre-ordered, but I expect some server downtime due to the mass amounts of people trying to log on as well as the overall instability of the servers. I shouldn't be too far behind everyone else Grin

I have 4 70s so far, and I'll probably be leveling my Druid sometime after the expansion is in full swing. See you in Northrend!

Nai's been trained to stay off the couches, Omna-babe. Wink

Besides, I have nothing against furries in general, really, just the costumes themselves. They're a tad creepy. :shudder:

Please tell me you've seen that episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, when Carl buys the flute from the infomercial.

Danica, since when were you a Red Sox fan? That disappoints me...

Oh, and hi again everyone :).

I'm rather meh about Baseball, but I am, however, *really* glad the Phillies won the World Series. It's about damn time Philly got a championship.

I also sent out my absentee voter form thingy the other day. Its my first time voting, and I'm excited about it. Plus, it seems a lot easier doing it this way than going out to the polling places or whatever. Wink

Gosh, I haven't posted at all in the last 2 months. I've been keeping up on what's been going on though, so I'm not totally in the dark. I haven't posted lately mainly because there isn't much going on with me. I don't really life an exciting life, I guess. Derf derf

I figured I'd pop in and say hi.

Oooh good luck with that, Cecelia.. I know how tough big tests can be... I'm going to be starting to study for the GRE after I've found a reasonably solid job, then I can take the test, and be ready to hopefully enter grad school next fall... whether it be online or require me to move someplace else...

Alacar presented an interesting question to the folks in [Pages] and I thought I would say something here... If you could own anybody's life in book form, whose would it be??

While I'm not totally sure it was a book, and I've personally said this before, but I think I'd like to be Willy Wonka. Why? Because I make the world taste good. Grin

Other than that, I'm not really sure. I'm not much of a reader, to be honest.

@Cadet: I've done something similar before. I jumped off the top of a jungle gym and sprained my ankle when I was younger. It hurt something fierce, I tell you. My advice would be to keep off it and try to reduce the swelling, although it sounds a bit more serious than that. I would also take Snoop's advice, and at the very least, have a doctor take a look at it.

    So... I have bad news..

    I lost my job today.

They simply couldn't afford to pay me/keep me on.. since I was the only full-time employee with a definite salary..

I'm ..... I was shocked, but it makes a lot of sense.. we were just scrapin' by.. I'm done.

    Back to the job market..........

Wow.... And I thought my day was going bad...I'm so sorry to hear that, Omna. Frown I hope you can find another job soon and get back on your feet. *hugs*

Awww that's really bad that they had to cut hours since they probably couldn't make payroll they have been cutting my hours too but that's because I have been asking for 3 days off but still i don't work 8 hours a day that much anymore when i do go to work. I am really sorry to hear that Danica and I wish you well. *hugs*

Yeah I probably didn't get that much sleep last night either luckily I only have 6 hours of work today. 8am to 2pm not that bad. Thank goodness i have monday off though. Anyway have a good day everyone I need to head out soon. Talk to you all later.

    Love,

    Cecilia

Yeah, I know what you mean. Right now, I got back from my early morning Sat. class, and I have an 8 hour day ahead of me. All while running on little more than less than 5 hours sleep and a bottle of Diet Pepsi. Muh

Sorry again to hear about your bad news, Omna. Frown

I just got back from seeing The Dark Knight. I'd say it was pretty good. Heath Ledger made a pretty good Joker, imo. That part was hilarious, Seph.

@Cecilia: I hope you can get a break sometime soon.

@Nai: It sounds like you are having a lot of fun. I can't wait until my vacation next month. I probably won't be going back east like I wanted to this year, but hopefully I can make it around Christmas or next summer/fall. I'm still going to be taking 2 weeks off from work, so once classes are over, I'll be free to relax and play games all day. Ha, even I know that's only wishful thinking. Wink

*gasp* You s**t! Seriously, this is why guys get a bad rep. Just when you fall for a girl, people like you decide to ditch them for someone younger and perkier!!!

    Laugh

This honestly just made my day.:D I've been slightly disgruntled at having to reformat my computer, which by the way is a joy. /sarcasm

Since I haven't had to do it for the longest time, I forgot about how painful it is: getting everything back, and getting the settings the way I had them. But I think the most annoying part is when you are forced to upgrade something you didn't really want to or you don't like the new version because you're so used to the older one.

Hey everybody! How is everyone doing today?

I'm doing pretty good since I turned in my Research Paper for English today. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I loathe them. I'm almost done with this semester of classes too. Only a few weeks left.

In other news, I'm currently in the process of reformatting my desktop. It BSoD'd (Blue Screen of Death) on me twice late last week, and I felt it necessary, you know, just in case. That explains part of my absence, but I've been on my laptop lurking every now and again.

SHINOBI! *Glomps* Great to see you again! I admit I too had a long lasting love affair with the sweetest thing you'd ever meet: Pepsi. We recently split up, but I'm now dating her slightly younger sister, Diet. She's great and we've grown quite fond of one another in such a short time. Grin

I've also recently had the urge to pick up and start playing FF3 for the DS again. I was playing it before, but kinda lost interest. I might give it another go sometime soon.

And if all goes well tomorrow, I might be going to see Batman. I hope I do get to go as I haven't been to the movie theater in over a year. Last movie I saw in theaters was Transformers on July 4th.
