Layout a 3 x 3 card square and randomly place cards on top of those until you're out. Take each of those piles and shuffle them together. Takes about a minute or so.
My play group uses dragon shields and they work very well. If your cards accidentally explode everywhere, try getting the air out of the sleeves.
Chile, do you have any wishlist cards that you'd add if budget/availability wasn't an issue?
I was thinking possibly the rest of the Fetch-lands, Mana Crypt, Replace with the new Elspeth with yours.
Anything i'm missing?
If money is no option, I'd say the fetches, new Elspeth, and definitely mana crypt. Anything for that speed! Have you tested a version of the deck at all?
The manager of my LGS tried to tell a few guys in the meta and I that this is as limited as FTV: 20. He only wants to sell them as 5 deck sets because he'd rather not open up a box and separate them. He then tried to convince us that EDH was too simple a format and it's not fun at all and blah blah blah. I laughed at him.
Deck updated with adding in the Theros changes (the one haha).
Also, looking for some opinions on this. I've been debating adding in Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite into my deck to pump tokens and kill off the meta's. Any opinions? I think it'd be a good addition but can't decide what to take out for it (almost debated a land just because I run so many lands and rocks). Also.. being from the recent Mirrodin block, I kind of want to run it BAD for flavor.
I am thinking that even if we never cast the general, his subtle lifegain should be useful with Ancient Tomb, Bitterblossom, etc. and if he does hit the field, we only lose 2 power, but at the benefit of card draw, lifeloss for opponents, and lifegain for us. Overall, looks like a pretty easy swap.
I have been debating pulling the Swords package lately in favor of trying out Erebos, God of the Dead, Elspeth, Sun's Champion, or a small package of counterspells. The Swords are still really good however, so removing them might be a bad idea overall. Thoughts?
I say go for it man. In game you never really cast out Dromar, and this guy being able to assist from the command zone would be pretty helpful with the amount of wrist slashing your deck does.
Wanted to post this and I am sorry it is a different theme than your deck, but thought it might spark some interest
This was originally done by Bennie Smith, an SCG edh writer. This deck was original a Brion Stoutarm but Jor Kadeen is interchangable and he even stated the fact. (Myr Article on SCG)
Mo' Myr, Mo' Problem
[He] tried to make sure the power level was high without having to branch into other colors which would allow access to a few more mana Myr but might bring color screw into the equation
I personally made a few changes because some of the creatures were useless (as in Perilous Myr), added more utility and fetch lands along with adding in some higher end artifacts like Darksteel forge and Blightsteel Colossus.
I will post my version if you would like. I played it last night, and nothing is better than getting 10+ 2/2 Myr tokens on the field, then swinging for god knows how much and killing 2 people outright. Oh PS, I had Slobad, Goblin Tinkerer out... care to attack?, sure go ahead!
Sorry I'm just now responding, I was out of town all weekend. A myr swarm deck would be pretty brutal and I'd like to see your list! That one looks like it'd be a ton of fun to play!
After looking at the spoilers it looks like Hammer of Purphoros is going to take the spot of Fervor. Same ability and cost while being able to regurgitate 3/3 beaters that activate metalcraft is absolutely degenerate!
I should post my list when I get home. I had an enjoyable 6-man last Saturday.
Clockwise was Me, Azami, Mirko Vosk, Talrand, Zegana, and Multimano.
Up front. Mirko, Talrand, and Multimano were...less experienced. Or not competitive. Mirko was a friend who had shenanigans, almost all the mill cards and silliness. Talrand had things, but wasn't a threat most of the game. And multimano only had ramp....ONLY RAMP! It was disgusting. But I digress.
I have never used Sol Rack. It is ridic. So useful in R/W. I found myself tutoring for SoFaI first to keep up the card draw. Saw Wheel once to keep the gas flowing. But, since it's 6 man, being aggro was tough when you didn't want the game to turn into archenemy.
Double striking to proc sword triggers was awesome. Sadly SoLaS wasn't raising any dead as my GY got tormad's in response. =( Stonehewer Giant pulled his weight dual wielding FaI and LaS like a boss. tutored a Darksteel Plate in response to a board wipe. And kept some process on. The life gain was nice to have too.
Zegana died first from being silly and not playing any blockers. Talrand bit the bullet next for being open and doing nothing. =p Life totals (and libraries) shrank and Azami wanted the game to end so he cast Rite of Replication on his Venser. In response i'd have StP it, but he told me he wasn't targetting my stuff. So nice of him. He was true to his word. Mirko didn't like that (leaving me with the board position), so he tried to kill us with a Mind Grind for 15. I milled all but 8 cards in my library. Multimano whose been fetching lands all day erryday got milled out and lost. Azami was low too. I had double strike (via sunhome) and Jor in play with metalcraft and 2 swords and killed both players the next turn. Hooray! =D
Notes from the game:
-I enjoyed having SoBaM in the deck as FaF got milled (along with WaP). Having another pro blue and green was choice (as FaI got hit with a Return to Dust).
-Urabrask is awesome. The haste and the kismet effect. Loved it.
-I was hurting on mana sometimes (but also wanting to cast my hand), but I'll keep it how it is till I get a few more games under my belt.
I'll post my list later this evening. Hoping to get some more games in this weekend. =)
Good call on FaI being your first tutor, as that card advantage is paramount in the beginning of the game. Also, if your opponents don't seem to be drawing into anything useful, withholding a wheel is always a smart move. Why speed them into answers?
Urabrask is a CHAMP! Oh, you're pumping in tokens? Too bad they're tapped! Oh and check it, I have haste. You die now! Post up that list and we'll all take a look! Looking forward to it.

Not out of the new set no. I didn't find anything of use.

I'm lying.

Needing to refix my mana. I'm thinking pull a mountains for a plains or pull two mountains for two plains.
