I voted for "my siren" by msun641 and "quiet little town" by cubics. The imagery for my siren was entrancing, one of the best pieces written here in a while. Quiet little town, while riddled with chiche, brought me back to my small town upbringing and put a smile on my face
From what I have seen of your work, you are by far one of the most talented poets on here. It is always a joy to read you work as it always has such lush imagery. Keep up the great work and I hope I too will have a way with words comparable to yours someday
Thank you for all the support last week. I will definitely be continuing to post in here. This week I voted for "Walk on the Beach" by Madding and "the maiden" by mystic speculation. For me the best poetry is the type than can bring me into the poem and feel its essence fill be. Both of those pieces exemplified that, very well done.
Cool. I'm glad people are enjoying my poetry, I had always kept it to myself before this. Good luck on Round 14, I didn't post in time.
I used to be the same way till I found this part of the forum. You definitely have a way with words and have the soul of a poet. You're work is amazing and I hope you continue to post your work here as I look forward to reading more
I'm guessing the percentages are out of 200% (2 votes) but some people only voted for one poem thus cauing it to be less. As for the poem, when reading rhyming poetry, I have always been partial to AABB and ABAB as yours is. While your words are deceptively simple, you imagery is enveloping. As I read this piece closer I felt pulled into it and could feel the emotion change. Very well written.
I wondered if the musical references and the title were refering to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, or if that was just a coincidence.
Thank you for your kind words. In retrospect they are but they werent meant to be. I wrote this listening to the moonlight sonata, but also while on the beach under a full moon. Thank you for noticing
There were some great poems this round but I ended up voting for Madding. The carefully crafted words created such stunning imagery for me I couldnt not vote for it. Great Job.
I knew it was only a matter of time before time before you would be promoted to mod. I have known you for many years now and I couldnt imagine anyone better to fill this position. You have been such an asset to this site behind the scenes and it brings a smile to my face to finally see your hard work rewarded. Congrads
I agree with everyone on this one. I have had several family member pass away to cancer and can definatly relate. As for the tribute card, they really went out of their way with it. Especially if you look closely

They managed to put her whole name in so she will always be remembered. As for the card itself i think it will be a great finisher, especially with its interactions with Scryb rangers and Chord of Calling.
Ive actually started toying with a version like this as well. From what ive found if you use 4 Gemstone mine, 4 Birds of Paradise, and 4 Pillar of the Paruns(I know I know just hear me out) you can afford to play some basics to avoid the blood moon hurt. Majority of the deck is multi colored so why not take advantage of a non painful city of brass since the drawback isnt much of one here. Ive also considered playing gemhide sliver as well to help. You might also want to try Grave-shell Scarab. I've found it to be pretty useful against control deck as it's a recurrable threat that can provide card advantage.
