Feb 26, 2007Dreia posted a message on [Coffeehouse Bingo] SheetUmmm you may want to tell Shin' that I'm on your card twice. I don't think I'm that important. Other than that, good luck. I should probably post mine somewhere too.Posted in: Alacar's Design Zone

Sounds like ya need one. I miss you!! Hopefully things start getting better for you. Breakups are never fun, especially in small towns. Everyone knows about it before the people involved. Keep your head up as best you can and take it easy. Things will eventually smooth out and some other girl may rock your world. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
Stuffs, thank you for all the congratulations. Japan sounds and looks amazing.
Cecilia, Congrats for finding something that works well for you. Good luck on your exam. It sounds like you're on track.
Congrats on the job Omna! Sounds like a great job.
Nai, good luck getting into classes.
Major congrats to you!! I know you've been wanting that ever since I can remember.
I know the Pixar movie discussion has ended already, but I have something sort of funny to add. I really want to see Cars. Every time I try watching it, I fall asleep. What I've seen so far looks great, but I want to see it ALL.
Hiya!!
I know you said you can't really afford to buy anything... but my mom gets leg pains and aches a lot so she's tried some stuff. The latest suggestion was to drink a dixie cup (5 oz) of tonic water once a day. She tried it for awhile and it helped quite a bit. I'm not sure about swelling though.
Hey Mike. I'm sorry if I'm intruding on anything in here too. I think we should be alright. Sorry everything was such a mess. I'm glad to hear you've been trying to find some jobs and get things back on track. I wish you luck with that.
:mad:I hope identity theft is not case Danica. Hopefully nothing bad comes of it and that it's very thoroughly protected.

Kraj, Psycho, Cecilia and Ala... Glad to see you all again!!
Stuffs... I'm doing alright. I'm SO glad to see you're living in Japan. I saw that and did a happy dance in my mind for you. I know it was always a dream of yours. Sounds like it is amazing once you got adjusted. Mike and I really haven't spoken since we broke up. I wanted space and he saw things differently, so we ended up cutting off all contact. I'm sure someday it may be restored, but who knows what is in store for the future?
Omna... I know all too well how daunting a job hunt can be. My position was eliminated after 2 years and 7 months. I didn't even get 2 weeks' notice and they kept the male in the equal position. I haven't found a job since then even though I've been trying since mid-May. I wish you the best of luck. I know you can find one to suit you.
As for me, a lot has changed...
I'm still working hard in college and I'm a little bit ahead of the game. I won't be able to graduate early or anything, but I won't have to overload on classes every term anymore.
I have a wonderful man in my life and we've been together for a while now. I'm going to visit him after Christmas and I absolutely cannot wait. We wanted to see each other sooner, but schedules are hard to work around. We get to ring in the new year together and that will be amazing to me. I have grown a lot because of him and learned things I didn't know about myself before. I think that's important in any relationship, but maybe that's just me.
I bought a new truck in March. It is a 2004 Chevy Avalanche that is orange (think burnt orange) with charcoal gray trim. Not having any money coming in now and trying to make truck payments while saving up money isn't easy. I normally work part-time (25 hours/week) during the school year and full-time on breaks and during the summer. I use the money saved up during the summer to survive on smaller paychecks throughout the school year so that I can still save money and not have to worry. I definitely can't do that now.
If everything works out as planned, I will most likely be moving to California once I graduate. It will be a huge change, but I really need to get out and explore the world more. I want to live somewhere different and there is a lot of opportunity with the plans.
That's about all the major (mostly good) news for me.
I hope all is well with everyone. *big hugs*

I figured I would check in and see how everyone is doing. I saw some familiar faces and some strangers. I think I may start coming back a bit more (every 10 months is kinda crazy).
Major congrats to Photon again!!
So sorry about your kitty Nai.
She's pretty cute Ala.
I hope everyone is well.

Anywho, hello again everyone. I haven't really had much to post, but figured I should still let everyone know I'm around.
Mamelon, I hope your day gets better. That's a really rough one.
Mr. Stuff, I'm not sure if I said it yet but Congrats!!
As for me, the wedding went well. I got a bit choked up on the toast, but made it through. I was SO nervous. After that, school started and is keeping me busy. I decided to pledge a fraternity, so that will be consuming my next 6 weeks. I was also supposed to work the auto show on campus, but the captain signed two people up in place of me. I'll take pictures to post though, especially since Transformers will be here.
My laptop battery is about to die, so I will post again later. Take care everyone!

Not quite the same version of Lucky Star.
Agreed there as well. I'm never in style. I just look for comfy clothes that look decent and are affordable.
So very true. I don't study but we have open notes quizzes sometimes and I can never tell what I was thinking. Five classes a term and 20-30 hours of work kind of fries the brain from good recollection too.
I commend you for still being able to say good morning. Aside from that, I really hope your luck approves soon. A little at a time, if it must.
Are you ok now? That doesn't sound good.
Congrats! I'll try my best to remember that.
I comment on that sort of stuff with Mike. It threw him off at first, but I think we're used to it now. If I see someone who is attractive, I'll say so.
Upside Down Pumpkin Cake
1 (29 oz.) can pumpkin puree (about 3 cups +)
5-6 tsp. pumpkin spice
1½ cups white sugar
3 eggs
1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 yellow cake mix
1 cup chopped pecans
¾ cup melted butter
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. In a mixing bowl, blend pumpkin, pumpkin spice, sugar, eggs, and milk. Pour mixture into a 9X13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle evenly dry cake mix and nuts over the batter. Evenly drizzle melted butter over the cake.
3. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 60 min (or until medium golden brown on top) and let cool. The cake will be "liquidy" at first, but will solidify as it cools.
Congrats! I bet that's a big burden off your shoulders and/or heart and mind.
Classes started yesterday (Wednesday) for me. I've had Environmental Science, Principles of Banking, Foundations of the Modern World I (history), and Business Law I so far. Tomorrow is Intermediate Accounting I. I got an email from the President of a co-ed fraternity I considered joining. There's a meeting coming up soon, but I'm still not sure I want to join. Anywho, I should get some sleep soon.

Shoes are meant to protect your feet or something and looking good is just a plus. I hate pumps, unless they have a cute bow or something.
I have a ton of shoes, because when I find some I like and they're on sale, I buy them. I have a large plastic tote in the bottom of my closet chocked full plus about ten pairs laying around the house.
Completely different, but I hate trying to find clothes that fit and are affordable. I've learned to shop the clearance racks and pray they have my size. I don't pay full price for anything and ItSo can definitely vouch for that.
Soooooo true!!!!! More men need to take note of that. And women who shop together too.
Wait! You got dumped just for looking? If that's the case, I think there may have been some insecurity issues. I've never cared if a boyfriend of mine looked or even commented. Maybe that's just me o_O.
I definitely don't watch the version Sep mentioned. And I only watched the one episode of the clean version/anime, but it was pretty good. Making adult films out of an anime is kind of sad in my opinion.
Seph--sorry to hear about your bad day. Hopefully things start looking up soon.

Shaving-I don't understand why people are making such a huge deal out of it. You either do it or you don't. If you have to do it to feel feminine then it's just a personal preference. Shaving doesn't actually make someone a female or a feminine person.
Josh and Joshua...Congrats on 4 years living together. How many have you been together as a couple?
Shoes-I have a rough time finding cute ones too, but they're JUST shoes. It'll be alright.
Danica-I hope things start looking up for you soon. That lonely feeling when others are basking in their romance is not one that's easy to handle. Hang in there. Usually if I get that feeling, I try to remember special moments and sentimental memories or gifts. It doesn't help much but it does help a little. *hugs*
Edit: Cute picture too!

This bugged me when I read it. You sound like college absolutely sucks except the first year, but you're just in your first year right? Having been in college for a few years, that's not completely true It honestly is what you make of it. It sounds cliche, but it fits. Yes, it can be hard work and more responsibility, but that's part of the maturing process. If you mix a little fun in, college is overall enjoyable.
Also, about college. I only applied to schools because my mind was set. I was offered a full-ride to one and a scholarship for half tuition at the other. I turned down the full-ride which really upset my parents, so now I'm paying for everything on my own. I knew what I wanted to do, and I started taking majors classes my very first day. While the liberal-arts classes are still thrown in, my other classes have a bigger impact. The only downfall is people who don't stick to the same major and/or can't take the toughness of the university. It's hard to transfer or switch because the classes start from day one.
A fine hello to everyone again. It's been quite a while!
I read every post and didn't find much to comment on. A lot of it seems like "hi, i'm doing this right now and that's my day so yeah, I'm going to end my post". While it's nice to know what's going on, that gets annoying for me quite quickly if it's the same people over and over again. I've been super busy and ruffling through those eats up my time. But onto other things...
Shadowfox-I'm sorry to hear about the losses in your family. May you find closure and the ability to cope. I hope the meeting went well with your half-sister and good luck with your back.
ep-So sorry to hear about your aunt. I hope she makes a good recovery. Any cancer is scary, let alone when it has a known environmental cause. We're having that issue in the city I live by right now. A chemical company is dredging up the river due to suspicions. They were below the allowable amount according to the DEQ, but are still doing something about it.
I'm sure a few Congrats are owed. Take them where needed. Same with good lucks.
Quick little update on me. As my dear said, I was on vacation. Once I got back every weekend was booked and most weeknights. I celebrated my birthday by being Maid of Honor for my best friend and her new husband. I even gave the toast.:o I've finally hit a slow point just in time to start classes again. I work days and mostly have afternoon and evening classes, so posting will be sporadic once again. I'm working a minimum of 22 hours a week and taking 20 credit hours. Some personal issues are also going on, but I'd rather not discuss them in an open forum.
edit: I forgot to add brothers with chainsaws are not a good thing. My parents needed help cutting down a tree today before it fell and did damage. It's been struck by lightning three times and is position between our power lines, garage, and house. Anyway, my brother was helping with the chainsaw because dad was getting tired. When he cut, the tree fell on me and it's a huge tree. If you ever come across such a situation, just use the chainsaw yourself.
I hope everyone is doing well. *hugs*

*Serves some pink grapefruit juice*
Come back as soon as you can.
How could this possibly be mean. You stole my cookie!!!!!
I've been asking myself this quite often. I don't understand how breakfast makes hunger, but maybe because it starts metabolism??? I've been getting bagels or scones for breakfast lately around 9:30 or so and by 11, I'm starving. If I don't eat breakfast, I don't get hungry until 1:30 or so.
Good luck with the toilet situation. Crim said they at least got it to stop flooding by shutting off the water.
Other than that, I only have one thing to say. Doing the same thing at work for 8 straight hours is frustrating, especially when it could have easily been done right the first time. Outsourcing can be a ***** sometimes!!
~Dreia
This just made me smile and giggle like a little girl. I was so hysterical, I told Crim he had to look.
Honestly, I've never seen Photon as rude/insensitive/harsh or whatever else people want to think. I would be more worried if he didn't pick on someone than if he did. I think he tells it like it is and doesn't mean for it to be interpreted so literally that people are honestly upset. He reminds me of me sometimes and that's just crazy.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
