Actually, I agree with the points you made for improvement. I was torn between ears and hearing, but didn't feel that hearing was the right word either. Intoxicating nectar was also a odd judgment call. Wine didn't seem to fit although I toyed with using "spirit" for its double meaning.
Posting for critiques. Be gentle though, as this is not my usual writing style, its just how it came out.
If Only
I would say that you are smart,
If only smart could understand you.
I would say that you are caring,
If only compassion felt strong enough.
I would say that you are funny,
If only mirth could make me smile so.
I would say that you are beautiful,
If only beauty could be so deep.
I would say you are the sun in my world,
If only you didn’t make it dim by comparison.
I would say you are as sweet as nectar,
If only nectar could be so intoxicating.
I would say you are the moon on a dark night,
If only the moon were stable.
I would say you are worth more than diamonds,
If only they were worth more.
I would give you my eyes,
If only you could see yourself the way I see you.
I would give you my ears,
If only you could hear the music of your laughter.
I would give you my mind,
If only you could know how inadequate these words are.
I would give you my heart,
If only it were a gift fit for an angel.
I guess the tap water thing is going to be a wild card in this. I know the tap water in *my* town tastes horribly akin to pool water (chlorine and whatnot added to "purify" it).
I gotta give the win to Drizzt. He has beaten his father, the ultimate weapons master, as well as the Baenre and Armgo weapons masters. Jarlaxle I would have to say is a fighter/rogue, so even with his higher levels, Drizzt, a straight up ranger, could take him. I *do* with he would learn some of the ranger magic that he could have access to though.
Which is exactly why my vote hasn't moved. CF's silence the second attention shifted off him is more damning in my eyes than a lot of other stuff in the last few pages.
If a massclaim won't work, then more likely than not, all our roles are varried in some way. If Roja is missing something that is in your PM, it could simply be the mod altering the PM's so that its different on purpose. Its something I would do as a mod. As far as counter-claiming is concerned, the more info that's kept in the dark, the more chances scum have to trip up on their claims. So far this game could have gone differently in the following way had people acted differently...
Roja claims "soldier". WoD also claims "soldier". Unknown scum thinking he's found the vanillas also claims "soldier". WoD, knowing he is a confirmable townie via his PM presses unknown scum to give additional info and see if Roja confirms it. If Roja points out that his info is different, then WoD is still "safe" and continues until he's pretty sure he's caught scum. At this point, he admits to lying and uses his confirmability to save his neck. We lynch unknown scum and WoD has successfully completed a gambit.
What do you base this on? A simple bodyguard wouldn't have any idea whether he was protecting town or scum, so this is craplogic.
