I think that Pyxis of Pandemonium can and will be abused in Standard with some sort of "Look Ma, No Instants or Sorceries" type deck. Abusing nasty ETB effects such (Devotion especially).
It's devastating in some situations (miracle with a deathtouch/infect creature in play), very good in others (miracle with any creature in play), and yet very bad in others (opening hand, no creatures in play when drawn)
Increasing Savagery for me, just narrowly ahead of the Briarpack Alpha.
Savagery is a total bomb, and bombs win limited games. Its only costs 4 mana (the first time) and comes back late game to lay down further beats. Getting 2 for 1'd when trying to cast this card is also not so bad due to the flashback.
I love the Cage. I think that there have been far too many incredible cards printed that abuse the Yard and Library in this way. To have an incredible hoser for these strategies is awesome.
He'd be pretty nuts along with Pyroclasm effects against token/weenie strategies.
It will make your opponent think twice about blocks. Potentially enabling favorable combat trades.
If you can even simulate that you have this card in hand...
"i better block all this damage in case he has Rakdos..."
We have a winner.
This is one of those windmill slam late game "miracle" cards that you want to topdeck.
What interaction is that?
In Magical Christmasland where your opponent is a goldfish and you get the nut draw.
Does seem good in that format.
Some of the things you could put in play could:
Luckily the effect is a "may" so, you can stop at any point once you've got what you need.
It's not a card for competitive play, but its got to rank up there as one of the most powerful effects ever printed on card.
Primal Surge 8GG - M
Sorcery
