EDIT: props to therestless for some good advice and pointing out some things I'd forgotten

I really like teaching people how to play Magic. And recently, I've found myself doing so quite often. So it occurred to me: teaching someone how to play is quite hard, because of the game's extreme complexity and the reliance of big chunks of the game on other big chunks, which in turn rely on different chunks again.
