I expect that most feedback will be negative, but I also expect that it be productive.
The way you said it with your own personal history with some people here makes it hard to read you sometimes. But, I will take this to be the truth and I want others to do the same... this really doesn't need to be another pot shot CI thread.
I need EVERYONE to knock it off. Setting traps and finger pointing and when someone walks into those traps (for whatever reason) is a game that stopped being fun when I was 8. This is not a place for that.

Oh yeah... and I deleted the spam. If it isn't constructive comments about how to make the Beta better, I don't want it. Thanks!

Yeah okay, calling out trolling from moderators is totally not constructive to how you can make your site better.

Don't ignore mod requests. Suspension issued.

I do think Rakdos Cackler is way better than this guy just because you don't need to spend mana on turn 2 to make it good. I mean, you can just go turn 1 cackler, turn 2 Spike Jester and swing for 5, where this guy would swing for 3 on turn 2 and make 1 damage to you. This satyr feel very miserable to me.

Cackler is far better than the Satyr

The obvious difference is that the information is simply moved from one Curse-owned forum platform to another (vBulletin to Cobalt). The SQL dumps issue is something else entirely mostly because it would mean essentially giving the same information to complete strangers.

N_S is a complete stranger? Kijin is a complete stranger? They both worked for staff. They are hardly strangers.
    Quote from masterraid
I don't know curse. they are strangers. your moving our information without our consent. we asked for the SQL to be moved to a friend, a person we know.

    see the double standard?

so they own my information now? i am not ok with this. they shouldnt own anything of mine

How has your information been abused?

And the "only reason why your letting people in on the beta is because" we want to make sure it's right before we go live with it.

"certain users found it via scriptions to threads" is true. The only thing that changed was the speed at which we posted here. We wanted to wait 2-3 hours and instead waited 1.5 hours. If you want to keep painting this like some kind of screw job, fine, but that's not at all what happened. You want to know how we **** you over? We make the Beta private to only a handful of people and go "SURPRISE!!! NEW SITE!!!!"

"mods even wanted to ban those people and keep the whole thing under wraps: I.E. the gutter closure debate all over again." Really dude? This is ridiculous. If this is even remotely true please PM me because someone needs to be talked to.

    Quote from Galspanic
Mods haven't done **** except try to make this change as painless and beneficial as we can. It's happening. It's been happening. And what we want is for it to be as good for the members of MTGS as possible. The goal all along has been to preserve as much of what we have while working with their software support.

And really, you keep calling this "mod abuse" but I can't for the life of me figure out what this even means.

First, calm down. There is no need to get upset and you of all people should be civil with that admin tag under your name.
Secondly, you guys have claimed before that you cannot move SQL dumps to other sites without consent of users who had posted in said area (in our case, the gutter, i nthis case the entire site).
That said, with what Boub told us, you absolutely cannot move my posts from here to there without my consent (hint: no) and if you do so, I wish to have my account deleted along with all of its posts from here, and from curse's server hosting the new website.

Curse-owned and Curse-site are the same thing. It's still your account, it just has a different hierarchy. It's not a new site. It's still the same 'Salvation with a different 'shell'. Looks different and has a few different abilities.

Basically, it's Goku. But it's a different Seiyan version. Or perhaps one's Clark Kent and the other is Superman. Same dude, looks different.

If you don't want to be on the site post-beta, that's your prerogative. I'm still going to look for alternate solutions.

Speaking of, for people like Guardman who find themselves with multiple CurseIDs right now, the techs say they're going to find a way to get the merging done. It's never been needed before, from what I gather. They just tossed it on the 'to do' list, and have asked us to sit tight and play around with the beta on the current IDs until the merge solution has been designed.

yes. because walmart is exactly the same as the stores that walmart owns Rolleyes

I may be able to delete your account if you like.

    And yours.

I don't think it's being understood that this isn't a 'new site'. This isn't a community moving from News to Salvation, to make the comparison from this site's history. We're changing over from a vBulletin-style forum to Curse's proprietary forum-style. They've made some slight changes to the login style to conform to their already existent accounts. They log in with emails, we don't. They also have a 'network-wide account', we don't, for obvious reasons. So that's happening.

The most that's going on is that data they already have as part of MTGSalvation is changing from one server (I mean this in the physical sense) to another as part of the change. It's not going to new hands. It's the same people that already have it.

And I don't want to have to make this a 'mod request', but I need to make it clear that this isn't an excuse to bring up an old argument that's been settled. Let it be.

will it delete all of my posts as well

This isn't as much as "you got signed up for something' as it is 'Curse copied the contents of the MTGSalvation site and put it on their own servers, then made our accounts work with theirs'. The account you're unhappy about having is the one you're currently posting on. They simply integrated it with their own network to ensure that you would actually be able to use it when the time came. I believe this option is preferable to having 100,000 members have to re-register when the full site goes live and lose all their post counts, posting histories, etc.

Iso: I believe that, when it comes to notifications for responses, you can select which notifications you get. Look under 'my account' and 'notification settings'. There's a bunch of checkboxes so you can customize how it works.

I'm not sure if it's already been done, but I'm posting on behalf of the work-browsing people in here to make sure the techs get the message.

I'd rather have everyone re-register and lose everything than my information be compromised in the event of a cyber problem with Curse.

@Yanni, fields of green is always good. My life is lived in a forest, haha! You know that, though. What have you been running?

    you know
    this and that.

I've been playing Teferi (traded my V Clique) and a Zur control deck mostly. Not Voltron Zur, basically just so I could always have an answer in the form of D Sphere or O Ring with Zur.
Also a solitary lock with various things.
oh and an infinite turn combo with Thopter Sword and Time Seive.
