Then again I actually thought it was a serious post before I read the one under it.
As for the twilight I think the best thing to do is leave it for now. It is one of those things that unless we want everyone to be claiming it is not going to be sorted out today. The best thing is to just ignore it for now, because it is useless and distracting to speculate about it.

I've come to a very similar conclusion. I think that spending anymore time looking into why its extended is just a waste of time most likely.
Why did you unvote SB when you claimed to have a legitimate reason to find him "peculiar"?
Because scummy and peculiar are two different things. Observe.
Vote: The Most Curious Thing
Eh, what? This doesn't even make sense. It's like you are throwing random things around and seeing what flies. What is this vote even about?
It's just a vote. What's the big deal? My vote on SB was largely random with a BS reason (see what I did there?). I called TMCT out for questioning my unvote.
It's just a vote. What's the big deal? My vote on SB was largely random with a BS reason (see what I did there?). I called TMCT out for questioning my unvote.
But, but... votes are a big deal. They are the life blood of the game used to denote who one thinks is scum. They are the paramount force that allows us to go from one day to the next. Mechanically the vote is the most powerful tool one may have, giving clear indication or intent and the power to try and strike down those deemed not town. And you are throwing it around like it is a coupon for a free bag of chips when you buy a sandwich and a drink from the local deli.
Do you actually think TMCT is scum or are you just voting him because he questioned you?
I've played 10 games before, 8 as town 2 as scum, and quite a few IRL, (tho thats very different), so i'm not new to the game, just to this forum. It also means, unlike my normal play group, i don't have a default day 1 vote
What are your thoughts on the game thus far?
As far as the Swishh/Rhand interaction. I'm not interested in either at the moment. Swishh is playing to his Town Meta from [redacted]. Rhand is someone I have trouble reading, but I don't see anything from him that warrants suspicion.
StormBlind has my attention for his vote on Swishh. Storm claims Swishh's vote to be opportunistic, but I'm seeing it the other way around. StormBlind doesn't know Swishh's play style and saw something to jump at and hold onto.

I was showing him what it looks like when you think someone is scummy.

So everyone, welcome to Macius' Crazy Carnival, where I do the most insane things (like claim jester...) and people wonder what drugs I am on. The correct answer is Caffeine.
So anyways, I made a post that reeked of trying to be a suck-up to Guardman. Stardust, Rhand and Tom all come jumping in to vote for me. But lookie there, no justification for why they voted. Insane or not, I was taught that you should always show why your voting for someone.
Considering that the game is 14 people, I would assume 3-4 scum. Lookie here, we gots 3 people jumping on to my wagon without a lick of reasoning (except rhand, but he's just sucking up to Stardust is his post.)
Yes I am insane, but still doesnt change that there are 3 explanation-less votes afoot.

I hope you're not insinuating that all three are scum, and I don't like this OMGUS-lite deflection.
lol, I scrolled up to see four Macius votes before even finding out what he did. indeed.
I hope you're not insinuating that all three are scum, and I don't like this OMGUS-lite deflection.
Not quite insinuating, but can you explain why even though me saying what I said seems scummy, why Stardust only put a vote in his post?
Rhand just jumping on with a little "welp, I agree with his textless vote, so ill vote", doesnt that seem a little too "jumping on the wagon"
And then Tom doing essentially the same as Stardust.
If this were day 2 or 3, I wouldnt be thinking this way, but it seems odd to do at the beginning of D1.
Naked votes aren't terribly indicative of alignment, depending on the player/circumstance. I've never played with Stardust so I can't speak for him in general, but this vote isn't circumstantially scummy. So why should the nakedness of the votes matter if you admit that what you said "seems scummy"?
Given that, your deflection onto all three of Stardust, Rhand, and Tom reeks of nervousness.
So why should the nakedness of the votes matter if you admit that what you said "seems scummy"?
Good point there, I'll give you that. I'll admit you caught me in a cross-over of my actions not matching my words.
Given that, your deflection onto all three of Stardust, Rhand, and Tom reeks of nervousness.
And so does every move I make in mafia. I am always nervous about stuff. Call it a flaw, personality quirk.... whatever.
What do you mean by that?
I guess I didnt articulate the thought well enough. On day 2 or 3, you have a lot more actions to take into account plus 1-2 nights worth of information to process. If you were borderline scummy for a couple days and the person hardest on your case suddenly ended up dead night 2, it would look pretty suspicious and I wouldnt flaw someone for voting without explanation there.
It essentially comes down to:
1 post vs. a couple days worth of posts and actions
Why are there votes on Macius? More importantly, why is he voting himself when he's got multiple apparently serious vote son him? I don't think I understand this game so far.

An accurate description of myself:
Quote from Megiddo »
You're the dude who just lies a lot and makes people hate you and then magically becomes town later, right?
This is one of those few cases where a vote doesn't need an explanation.
There's no way to read that post of yours as coming from a town mindset.
Everything is wrong about it:
FoS: Swishh
I'm always wary of a FoS, especially if your vote isn't used yet and the person you are FoS'ing is not in danger of getting lynched. You do have Mafia experience on this website, right?
Your actions seem quite off as others have pointed out.
His actions are off or they aren't. "Seem" says that you don't have an opinion on his actions.
You just barn everyone else without mentioning what it is that you agree on.
"actions" can be just about anything he posted.
While not enough for me to cast a vote, your behavior is odd none the less.
This is first degree fencesitting.
You say that it was meant as a suck-up post to Guardman, but you never mention him. "Others" points to more people than just Guardman. And I can't think of a pro-town reason to want to suck up to someone.
Hahaha, this is awesome. You triple OMGUS, point out that there was no reason for the votes without asking what the reason is... but then don't worry because I'm craaaaaazy.
Anyway, Rhand pretty much covered it. Why did you choose not to respond to his reasoning, instead just answering the one simple question?
More importantly, why the uncertainty in that post I voted you for? (ie: respond to Rhand's post properly, please)
Sorry that I've been so quiet. I've been kind of down on myself regarding Mafia for the past few days because of something from another game. Trying to get my head back in it now.

I don’t get the point of this post unless it was to fling mud at 3 players at once. You committed a scum tell, albeit a weaker one, but it was enough for 3 players to vote for you.
Rather than defend your action you instead call out the 3 players and do nothing to scum hunt them in progress. I had read your FoS Swishh as an experienced player drawing out reactions, but your following post coexists with a scum mind set.
You do have Mafia experience on this website, right?
The trainwreck/ month long slog known as Flame Warriors is my only real experience.
I thought you had more experience than that. You’re FoS on Swishh looks a lot worse now and changes my read on Swishh as well. Consider Swishh leaning scum.
And now a HUGE over reaction from Swishh. It looks like the scum team is crumbling before our eyes.
I encourage more pressure on either Macius or Swishh. If I had to guess a third it would be Jonpike1 for his contentless posting despite having experience from another site. One of Macius or Swishh should be our lynch later toDay. For now, more discussion please.
Btw, this L-2 for Macius, but I am not requesting a claim since one of the votes on him is from himself. If one other player shows support for voting Macius, then I would want a claim.

Your elaboration is needed here. How does an FoS on me by Macius (who, by the way, I'm not yet convinced is scum) bear any weight on my alignment? Are you saying he's quasi-bussing?
The scum tell being referenced here is that a scum member, who does not have their vote in use, will use an FoS on a scum buddy to avoid pressure on the scum buddy. Since Macius is not as experienced as I once thought I believe that Macius, unknowingly, committed the scum tell. Macius follow up post further cements this read when he flings mud at three different players without scum hunting.
So, because of Macius, my read on you has changed. I believe it was Rhand who mentioned that the scum tell is here. If not Rhand, then someone else did ITT. We are barely 100 posts and you’re missing/not reading posts. Very interesting behavior from you thus far Swishh.
And now a HUGE over reaction from Swishh. It looks like the scum team is crumbling before our eyes.
I'll put my question here again. I unvoted something that was largely random. I'm not buying that you think this is a "HUGE overreaction."
The "scum team." Who would that consist of, besides me an Macius? You've managed to sniff all of them out on day 1?
Telling someone to “calm down” after a question that should have been answered is a HUGE over reaction. And now you are defending your action as if it were gold.
I wish I could quote a post from [redacted] right now. You just posted the same thing as [redacted] from [redacted]. Once that game ends I will show everyone why you are scum and prove that Macius is also scum.
That’s two scum down with maybe one or two to go. I believe it too be one more based on Gaming Setup of 14 Players. That would mean a possibly high powered scum team. If the scum team is not high powered, then I would expect 4 member scum team.
I encourage more pressure on either Macius or Swishh. If I had to guess a third it would be Jonpike1 for his contentless posting despite having experience from another site. One of Macius or Swishh should be our lynch later toDay. For now, more discussion please.
You ask for more discussion and yet you put Macius at...
A claim would keep discussion moving, but I am not going to force a claim out of someone when they self voted for a silly reason. That self vote from Macius is a complete null tell.
Besides, we have gotten a lot of discussion since my last post.

StormBlind seems town to you now?
StormBlind is a null read because of other interactions from other players. Namely, you and Macius. You also just made me realize I forgot to unvote before I voted Macius, therefore:
Unvote: StormBlind Vote: Macius
As previously mentioned, I am also willing to lynch Swishh toDay.

A claim would keep discussion moving, but I am not going to force a claim out of someone when they self voted for a silly reason. That self vote from Macius is a complete null tell.
Besides, we have gotten a lot of discussion since my last post.
StormBlind is a null read because of other interactions from other players. Namely, you and Macius. You also just made me realize I forgot to unvote before I voted Macius, therefore:
Unvote: StormBlind
Vote: Macius
As previously mentioned, I am also willing to lynch Swishh toDay.
