An accurate description of myself:
Quote from Megiddo »
You're the dude who just lies a lot and makes people hate you and then magically becomes town later, right?
Hmmm, looks like I was wrong. Sorry you didn't live long Swishh. So Dayvig is almost certainly town, and we can listen to Swishh's suspicions more, I'll re read the thread with that knowledge in a bit. I'm trying to be more active, feel free to tell me if you want more posts, and i'll try to oblige
I've been in too many games where the dayvig was anti-town. In this game especially I think we should treat all roles as neutral and try to go on behavior.

I want more posts, but not if they all look like this one.
So I did another reread and I'm quite sure I want Void dead. He was the other player I considered shooting today, though Swishh looked worse to me at the time.
I mainly hate that contradiction he made, but his play this game also hasn't felt very townish, and certainly not the Void I'm used to. He's already run up two players into claiming.
Also, something of note: after we saw the vote count where his vote was italicized and on the wrong person, he didn't even try to unvote...
I can't picture a townie who's vote has allegedly been taken not try to unvote again after the vote count. He knows something about it, but for whatever reason is pretending like he doesn't.
---
Kind of unrelated, I noticed something that could possibly have to do with his strange vote. In #95 he votes Macius and in #105 he unvotes Stormblind and votes Macius again. Not that he was voting Stormblind at that time or anything.

I'm not entirely sure what you're suggesting here. The possibilities, as I see them:
-) Macius (thief) takes control of Void's vote, and....parks it on himself?
-) Void makes it somehow so that his vote can't be moved, and then blames an unknown party for this effect.
-) Void lies about being unable to move his vote, and the italics means something else entirely.
-) Unknown party Y takes control of Void's vote, and parks it on Macius. But, again, why Macius? It would make more sense for Y to park Void's vote on basically anyone else, and then blame Macius because thief.
I -think- those four are the only options here. In options #2 and 3, Void would be scum, whereas in #1 and 4, he may or may not be.
My read on Void thusfar is still that he is town. Void is usually very, very aggressive when he's town, and that lines up with his play so far. He's been questioning people, moving the game forward, and he genuinely sounded convinced that Swish was scum.
Macius: when you get back, please answer my earlier question about your opinions of the people who were on your wagon.
I've re-read and I feel pretty sure about Swishh being scum, most likely alongside Macius and SB.
If I'm totally wrong and he's not, then pursuing Void looks like the direction to go.
Because of the deadline, I might as well do this now and figure out which direction is correct...
Daykill: Swishh
This Day Kill is one of the worst I have seen in a while. Of course Swissh was being scummy, I detailed the case rather well. But since the case was clear and easy to see, anyone could have came in here and done what Tom did and gotten away with it, because of Swishh's actions.
Also, this is great way to suspicion on to a Town player, me. I say we go ahead and lynch me. My Role is useful, but takes two Nights for it be fully useful. I have done plenty of scum hunting and helped the Town considerably at this point. Me flipping Town will nearly confirm Tom as scum. Also, if the Tom flips scum, then the Mafia are unlikely to have Day Chat since they Mafia Day Kill is typically used during LyLo for an easy win.
Asenion's recent responses make me feel good about him. And if swishh flips scum it'll look even better for him (though if swishh flips town I don't think it has much bearing of Asenion's alignment).
Please explain why Swishh flipping Town would not have a bearing on Asenion's alignment.
Swishh Dead, Void seemingly a target, and Macius the secondary major target.
I'm actually continuing to be happy with my vote on Macius. He has an obvious non-town ability, (at BEST he's neutral. AT BEST), and I'd personally prefer to not give him the ability to neutralize someone, and if we do, we should dictate his target, and kill him if he doesn't target the right person.
Thoughts on this?

Forgot that I cannot move my vote. I'm not use to that...
Explain something to me then.... why did you vote for me if you knew you couldn't move it? It seems really odd that someone who cant unvote would vote so early in the game.
Vote: Void
I have to agree with what Tom has said thusfar... your play seems awefully odd.
Eurgh, I don't like this vote screw power, not at all... And void seems to be at the heart of it, which with his added bloodthirstiness for Swishh (Slightly hypocritical :P) earns him my vote for now Vote:Void

With the way he's described his power, and if I'm understand the rules right, then that person still gets to use their power once, and will know who took theirs. With Swishh's role being only partially useful, I'm willing to believe that this could be a town role. I'd like to wait until Day 2, when we can try and see if he's telling the truth, before thinking about lynching him.
In that event, I would request and like for us to choose his target. Basically, a secondary vote to confirm. He targets one person of our choice. I *DO NOT* trust him firing at someone of his choice given his thought processes and logic today.
Gives us an effective PERMANANT roleblock on one person of our choosing, which I think will be absolutely amazing for the game state. This enables us to take advantage of the fact that, even if he IS anti-town, his ONLY hope for survival is to do precisely what we demand.

Some things:
* I don't like TMCT's #84. He seems to claim scum. His weird contradictory #53-54 and all his pushes of Macius without ever placing a vote are all off.
* Arian does a lot of Void defending. I don't know if I should read that as protecting a buddy or buddying up, but it does reflect badly on Arian. I also don't like how he jumped on the Swishh wagon in #168.
* It's weird that Guardman doesn't vote Macius in #97
* Void's #105 is a bit too 'I'm happy because I pegged the whole scumteam' to my likes.
I don't think he caused the voteblock himself. I'm starting to think that if this is a town ability, that it should be claimed so we can leave this issue behind us.
* Jonpike worries me, but there's not enough content to go on. His last post, voting Void for "being at the heart of the vote screw power" is nonsense. Void is the victim there (I think).
I'm most comfortable with an Arian or TMCT lynch at this point.
I think we need to direct Macius's action tonight. My preference is that we treat him as a vanilla and don't let him switch up roles.
If he's town and manages to steal a scum role, he gives scum the ability to steal one of our own roles the next night. If he's scum and we tell him not to use his ability, we'll know he's scum if he does use it.
Oh Nathed by Stormblind.
How is this a permanent roleblock? You'll give that person the ability to steal roles.
It was confirmed that his ability, was one-shot. I.e. he steal's someone's ability, and his is done. They DO get his thief ability, but it is expended, and cannot be used again via the role's explanation.
Assuming this is true, then the only way it would likely be usable again is via specific circumstances / role interactions. Gimme a few minutes and I'll find the quotes to clarify this.

My bad, misread the post, found the wording counter-intuitive.
In this event, I would prefer he doesn't fire at all and just get's vigged or lynched. I like his role LESS now to be honest. Though, if he wants, he can target me and I can trade him back. LITERALLY rendering him a vanilla. Or someone else, I don't care. I just don't want his ability floating around.

No dice if you think about it. I'm fairly sure you're town, you're coming off really cleanly to me this game in regards to your logic. (Comparing this to another Game in progress)
If someone we LIKE does the trade, the mafia can just shoot you/macius, and cause the situation to be repeated for the rest of the game. I think it has to be someone we don't like, who has claimed, and we have the vig take care of the rest. (The mafia doesn't know who the vig is, and likely doesn't have a doctor to prevent it all.)
It effectively gets rid of Macius' unsettling role, helps give the vig direction instead of AEzwolging, AND removes a second person of questionable nature from the situation.
Honestly feels like the best option here.

That would mean we have to push 2 more people to claim range ToDay; one that we lynch and one that Tom kills ToMorrow.
But: if Macius is scum and we succesfully pick a scumbuddy to switch with, he might save an important role for his team or not switch powers at all and lie about it.
Or Tom might not be around ToMorrow to take the shot.

Too many if's. The plan needs refining.
It's a good part of why I largely just prefer to lynch kill him, and leave any alternative deaths in the hands of the vig. His role lends itself to an incredible amount of randomness and insanity, and I honestly would prefer to not have to deal with this ability EVER seeing the Dark of Night.
Not to mention the great deal of WIFOM I would rather not go into for various reasons that his ability ever being able to be fired could cause.

We lynch Macius because he's scum or we don't lynch him and make good night arrangements.
If we decide to keep him alive, I don't want him firing, ever. That ability... god. I shudder to imagine what it could do in regards to the WIFOM of the game.

A mislynch isn't always wrong, but that's a lot of theory discussion that should best be left for not in-game.
Lynch-ahoy! I smell scum in that there Macius.
Macius smells like fish. His behavior and reactions to pressure has been awful, omgusy, and scummy. And the more I think about it behaviorwise I wouldn't be surprised if Macius did stick Void's vote on himself. He already has self-voted so clearly he is not adverse to putting a vote on himself.
Prior to the vote count coming up showing I was voting Macius with my name in Italics, I had tried to switch my vote from Macius to Swishh and couldn't. That's how I know my vote is stuck.
ITT, but I will pull the quotes if needed.
I'm interested in both Tom and Macius at this point. Tom more than Macius.

I'm confused. Didn't you said that you felt you were the best lynch for toDay? What's changed, in your opinion?
--------
@Rhand -- I habitually defend people that I consider to be town -- you can look at pretty much any game I've ever played to see examples of that, including [redacted]. I will admit that I have an unhealthy tendency to tend to look on the bright side with people I regard as my friends within the community (I would consider myself a friend of Shark and Void, for example....although I have no idea if its mutual).
That doesn't change that everything I've seen from Void this game has struck me as his town play, however. There's a chance that he's building new meta or something, but that's a chance I'm willing to take.
I'm more than willing to accept my lynch to help the town. But I should still be putting my reads out there so that when/if I am lynched the Town knows where to look at and for what reasons.
Go read his last few posts. Nothing about who is town I scum, just a bi discussion of trying to direc the vigilante and how to try and change someone to vanilla. Go read his old posts where he has been bandwagoning. I need to build a better case here, but I think Stormblind is the most obvious scum in the game right now.

Asenion
Please explain why StormBlind directing a possible PR is scummy.
Btw, Tom was certainly 1-shot in a 14 person game and Void is probably town. We aren't lynching Void toDay because there is no reason to.
Oh so you are ok with Void fabricating "truths" to lynch swishh, who we now know to be town?
Fabricating truths or not caring enough to pay close attention to the game? Or just not caring?
You are very focused on one aspect of my play thus far that has only minimal bearing on my alignment. From what I can gather, you haven't considered any other options either. It's "Void lied" or "Void frabicated 'truths'".
Going back to where you voted me based on the "lie" I see that you missed a very important question from me. Here it is again:
KK
Do you believe that only scum contradicts themselves and that it is impossible for Town to do so? Once you answer this you can then explain why my contradiction comes from a scum mind set.
Your contradiction comes from a scum mindset because you were using it as a "truth" to lynch a townie.
When I questioned you, you slipped, exposing how you actually didn't believed in what you had just wrote. Between "Void is town but isn't caring about the game" or "Void is scum caught in a lie after slipping while trying to mislynch a townie", I'll gladly stick to Occam's and have you lynched, TYVM.
Also, if you don't care about the game, then have the decency of asking for replacement. We don't need consciously bad townies, although I don't believe that's even the case. You're caught scum, and I find amusing how Asenion doesn't even acknowledge your lie.
Lynch me then, if you can find enough players to do so.
Do you know what's even better about that post? It's that when players do find out that I am indeed Town then everyone will get to see the natural reactions from everyone in the game. Finding the scum will be easy. More to come tomorrow.
Void's fearmongering doesn't even make sense... even if he flips town I don't see how that would be very insightful at all, at least not to the degree Void says it would be. And that's not even taking into account the fact that his posts would supposedly be coming from a townie who didn't give a damn about the game.
The only part I don't like about a Void lynch right now is that Jon and Macius are on the wagon...

First thing Tom does is attempt to discredit any natrual reaction that was caused by my post. My vote would be one Tom after this post.
Okay. Time to get back into this game. I'm just going to reread from the beginning and makes notes as I go since I've basically forgotten everything since I last made a post with content.
Stormblind's RVS feels weird. Why self-conscious 16 minutes later? (later called out by Swishh)
Asenion giving advice to the mayor in his second post. More indicative of a scummy mindset since it shows he's thinking about power roles already. Later says he was trying to break out of RVS. Judging by his first post, that makes sense.
Void doesn't seem to know that everyone is a PR in this post. That could indicate that he's town since I assume he would at least know that all of the scum team was powered.
Void's vote is in italics and on Macius instead of Swishh.
Asenion supports swishh's lynch (though no vote yet) even though he has no read. If swishh flips town at any point, this post will look pretty bad.
Also talks about vote manipulation being 100% scum and that he has a suicide condition in his role.
Kosakosa catches Void in a lie, but it's not quite as clear-cut as he makes it out to be.
Void's comment on the SK is quite interesting considering I thought he may be neutral. Void may be SK. Not sure why he thinks we'd be distracted into "neutral hunting" either when the SK is just as dangerous anyway. Besides, what can you even look for apart from trying to get people killed? Pretty weak smear on swishh here.
Oh, then Tom daykills swishh. Okay. Daykill's a pretty strange ability for scum to have, just sayin'.
TMCT's response to that feels pretty genuine to me.
swishh is dead town and Iso's votecount confirms that Void's vote is never moving. But I don't think Macius has anything to do with that.
Void self-votes. What is the matter with you people? Void dying says little about Tom, certainly not enough to justify killing yourself. Too much WIFOM in this one to call it either way.
Oh, right, nevermind. Maybe more scummy if that was all a show.
Stormblind's #276 feels strange to me. No further questions, let's just lynch. swishh flipping town should have given him plenty to work with. He should be trying to use that information for determining a lynch, not just lynching someone without thinking.
Stormblind is likely town based on 290. He's already forgotten that Tom's the vig. Scum track power roles pretty closely. Don't like that he's not really paying attention, but that's not something scum would miss, I think.
Prior to the vote count coming up showing I was voting Macius with my name in Italics, I had tried to switch my vote from Macius to Swishh and couldn't. That's how I know my vote is stuck.
Void, why didn't you try to unvote at that point?
So! Where does that leave us?
- I think there's a decent chance Macius is town since his explanations felt earnest, if stupid. He needs to post more. I also agree that he should not use his ability tonight.
- If Macius is town, I think Asenion is scum. I'll be watching him.
- Void is conflicted. Town tells and scum tells mixing together. I'm really liking him as a SK more than anything.
- Tom is... town.
- StormBlind felt quite off until I caught what I consider a town tell, weak though it may be.
- Kosakosa may be scum, especially if Void is not scum.
- Guardman I need to reread.
For now I'm good with voting Void. I'd like to see his claim.

AT BEST), and I'd personally prefer to not give him the ability to neutralize someone, and if we do, we should dictate his target, and kill him if he doesn't target the right person.
Thoughts on this?
How do you know? You haven't tried to move it or even unvote since the vote count.
Your post before this one is embarrassingly bad. You're scum and need to die.
Explain something to me then.... why did you vote for me if you knew you couldn't move it? It seems really odd that someone who cant unvote would vote so early in the game.
Vote: Void
I have to agree with what Tom has said thusfar... your play seems awefully odd.

The only person on my case I really think is scum, would be Void and I explained why in my previous post.
540 Peasant cube- Gold EditionSomething SpicyAnd if you really "forgot" it was blocked, then why vote yourself?
That's a good idea. I am candidate to trade mine. Just no one vig him until I traded back.
Reminder: Macius was self-voting and put himself at L-2. I didn't want to put him at L-1, but wanted to show I wanted him to claim.

I'll be waiting for your answer.
Do you know what's even better about that post? It's that when players do find out that I am indeed Town then everyone will get to see the natural reactions from everyone in the game. Finding the scum will be easy. More to come tomorrow.
The only part I don't like about a Void lynch right now is that Jon and Macius are on the wagon...
You do need to build a better case.
First thing Tom does is attempt to discredit any natrual reaction that was caused by my post. My vote would be one Tom after this post.
Swishh is feeling weird now. Don't like post 52.
Void's vote here feels weak, but we're still fresh out of RVS.
Ah yes. It's all coming back to me now...
Yaddayaddayadda... Is Macius still on the table for lynching?
Stormblind puts him to L-1, because that's apparently the old standard. Whatever, Macius was voting himself anyway.
Asenion asking someone to explain the Macius wagon. Not really liking this lack of involvement.
Asenion defending Macius. Quite vehemently. They are not scum buddies.
Asenion makes a pretty ballsy push back at Void. Pretty in your face for scum.
Asenion never answered my question.
Asenion feels slightly better in this post.
Void doesn't seem to know that everyone is a PR in this post. That could indicate that he's town since I assume he would at least know that all of the scum team was powered.
Void's vote is in italics and on Macius instead of Swishh.
TMCT is right about the votecount, but this is a very passive post.
Void knows something we don't as of 199. (bolding mine)
swishh clearly thinks Void is scum, unvotes TMCT, but then waits to vote Void until after Kosakosa does so. Suspicious.
Silver makes a decent post, but a bit more passively than he could have. No questions, only comments.
Bolded feels a bit too careful for town. Void may be scum or neutral.
Same post, Void is very insistent on swishh being scum. Bussing? Feels too much like commitment for Void to be scum if swishh is town.
Stormblind thinks swishh is town.
swishh self-votes. Thanks for the help.
Tom feels pretty good in his push on swishh.
Vote: Void.
Macius (2): Void, Guardman
Void (5): Tom, Macius, Jonpike1, Stardust, Kosakosa (L-2)
Stormblind (1): Asenion
With 13 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.
