I used to Druid but ended up cutting it. It was often a dead card since I didn't run the combo. But if you want a good self mill card use mirror mad. It's one of my favorite cards
Finally got another card I can consider for Mime. One sweep and one counter out of the whole set so far. Not much for my other decks either.
I ran Defense of the Heart and Oath of Druids once upon a time in my list. I ended up cutting both of them. Never was massively happy with either. There is also a lot of enchantment destruction in my meta.
I personally love Hermit Druid though. I run a pretty heavy self-mill dedicated build. I'm lucky in that my meta doesn't really use much gy hate.
I asked this before Dtrain but I guess you missed it. It is something that has been nagging me a bit though. What would happen to your deck if somebody were to Sadistic Sacrament or Jester's Cap out your top 3 wincon? It seems like you talk about getting Skittles online as pretty much your only wincon. No offense intended but would you even still be able to compete? I guess that question will depend on what creatures are in your opponent's meta but assume nothing special. My meta has forced me to run multiple wincon creatures. I run Skittles of course but I also run the quadfecta that is Nether Traitor, Consuming Aberration, Lord of Extinction and Invisible Stalker strictly as Mime wincon.
Thanks for the input, I will probably keep my list as is for the moment, I honestly don't really see anything in the new set that's really worthy of inclusion. At least nothing that id be willing to take something out for.
edit: I just saw the spoiler for Gaze of Granite. This could be the first card id consider including.
However I use it for more of the pawns rather than the general.
Nothing worse than getting hindered or spell Crumbled.
I was really hoping to get some advice on it too. Thanks

Hey guys so I've actually moved on from commander on to 60 card decks so I don't have any commander decks.
Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)

I have actually thought about this before, which is why I said something about potential combos a little while back. I have been worried about not having enough win conditions in the deck, but I guess i would prefer something that doesn't necessarily involve the general because that's basically what my first plan is. My problem right now is that the decklist is so tight that I am having a hard time opening up any slots. Maybe some type of Necrotic Ooze or Havengul Lich combo? The thing is, my playgroup doesn't really like combos. Not sure what the best solution would be.

Not even Plasm Capture? It seems like a bomb to me, and I will definitely be testing it heavily. Gaze of Granite looks cool but inferior to Pernicious Deed in my opinion.

Your list actually looks very strong already. It's a bit more focused on reanimator and combo than mine, but I don't see anything that really jumps out as needing to be changed off the top of my head.
I don't like combo and refuse to play it. Heck I feel dirty when I play Craterhoof in my token deck. That is essentially the reason I am trying to speed this deck up as much as possible. Also the reason I run so much utility in my deck. If my early game plan of a nasty skittles right out the gate gets disrupted I try and fall back on a uncounterable hasted lethal mime that is a copy of one of the pairs. It is fairly resilient. Helps again that my meta has little gy hate. I may have to worry once a game with getting my gy exiled and that is it. I'm more likely to be the victim of a Sadistic Sacrament effect than gy hate. The best part is I have built my deck with such depth that generally they don't waste the spell on me. There are a few decks in my meta that still crumble to a Sacrament effect.
I agree also the new sweeper is no Pernicious Deed but it will sure cost($$$) a lot less. My budget for MTG has dropped to essentially zero recently.

Hmm... I guess I would consider my ETB guys with Swords to be my backup plan right now. The deck is very resilient to almost any kind of hate, so I can often simply win a war of attrition and eventually overcome people through card advantage and efficiency. My meta isn't hyper competitive, so I don't really need broken combos. The reason I don't like the big, unblockable guys is that they're fairly useless unless you're copying them with Mimeoplasm. For the most part, I'm pretty happy with where the deck is, which is part of the reason why I'm starting to focus on tuning up my Hazezon Tamar deck.
The new deed wil be good, but we dont really need anymore sweepers.
THe new mana drain... I want to say that 4 mana is a lot for a counterspell, but I just Mystic snake
It really depends on if your version of the deck runs a lot of instants or not.
Is leaving 4 mana open a tempo loss for you?
I prefer to be able to get into a board position where i can draw, play land, say go unless im alpha striking.
I prefer to play midrange control/tempo with mimeo, keeping everyone off kilter and putting down small dudes that can poke for small points of damage here and there.
Craterhoof with a handful of ETB geeks can alpha strike someone easily, or just be a hasty commander. We play so many clones its not hard to get multiple hoof triggers in one turn either.
EDH in general is full of so many bombs I dont think you need to run much (if any) GY fuel cards. Run tutors for survival of the fittest if you need a toolbox, but most of the time you are better off establishing control of the board and using mimeoplasm as GY hate on their biggest threats.
Thoughts on the new clone? Progenitor Mimic
I don't actually run any clones at the moment. I'm feel like this card is too slow for the direction I'm trying to take the deck. I does seem like a very nice Simic EDH card however.

It is one of those cards. You know the ones I'm talking about. A lot of people play it, but it isn't that amazing.
It's cool for cloning. It is great on the curve with Mulldrifter. It does wonders with Rune-Scarred Demon. But overall, it costs too much mana.
Clones are playable because they (normally) allow you to get another ETB or remove a legend for very cheap. This one sorta fails on that front. I can imagine it taking over some games if it goes unanswered, but so many cards can do that for 6 mana.
So I have made a few changes to my deck based on the advice I received on here. For instance, I decided to take out most of the "mill" cards and added in some additional counter spells. I have also been able to change a few of my utility lands, I took out Cabal Coffers primarily because Primeval Titan is no longer playable in EDH and it was too cumbersome to try and get the Coffers and Tomb out together without him.
I also wanted to know if anyone had an opinion on my updated list, and if anyone planned on adding in any of the new cards from dragon maze to their lists. I know Plasm Capture has come up in discussion, I was also wondering if people thought it was better than any of the other counter spells I am currently running; or thought of including Gaze of Granite?
I am also considering adding in a scroll rack, however I wanted to know what people thought I should take out, or if it was even worth including (since I have seen several other people running it in their lists). Also, has anyone considered including a Jace Architect of Thought in their list? seeing how his second ability is like a mini Fact or Fiction and can be used to help fuel your hand and graveyard? As always thanks for any feed back.

He's 6 mana, and for the most part he doesn't do a lot more than many of out other clones. I prefer my clones to be cheap and efficient. I would probably go with something like Evil Twin before this.

Ive been trying to lower the CC in my deck as it is...
Yep, basically this. Lowering the curve helped my build get a lot better. Before the Prime Time ban, I was relying on him to much to ramp me. Once he was gone, it allowed me to realize that I needed to lower my curve to allow me to come out of the gate faster and take control of the game in the early turns.

Just to point out, Jace, Architect of Thought doesn't fuel your graveyard because his Fact or Fiction effect puts the cards on the bottom of your library instead of into your graveyard. I personally don't think he does enough, but you may have better results.
As for Gaze of Granite, I'm not sure I have room for this when Pernicious Deed is much better. It makes a pretty good budget option, but I don't think I would play it in an optimized list.
Your decklist looks pretty tight despite being fairly different from mine. You definitely have a more combo oriented build than me, so that accounts for a lot of the differences. Probably the worst counter in your current build is Spell Crumple, but it can be very good if you run into a lot of general centric decks. I guess I would probably try to slot Plasm Capture into that spot, but it's definitely a meta-dependent decision.

For my list, I've been going through and looking for things to cut. The following cards came up as things that I sometimes feel like I'm not getting full use out of. What do you guys think about these cards?
Genesis: I never really try very hard to get this guy in the graveyard, and when he does end up there, I rarely find myself using his ability, mostly because it takes up quite a bit of mana and only brings the creature back to your hand.
Havengul Lich: Similar to Genesis, but obviously is used from the battlefield rather than the graveyard. He lets you reuse the creatures at any time during you turn instead of the upkeep, and he only costs one mana to do so rather than three. He also let's you cast things from opponents' graveyards and can gain their activated abilities. I think I would consider him better than Genesis most of the time.
Prime Speaker Zegana: I have often found that I wanted to cast this, but I didn't have any other decent sized creatures on the battlefield, making it not worthwhile. I guess I would prefer to replace this with some more consistent draw, but I'm not sure what.
Duplicant: This just feels like a lot of mana for this effect. Exiling creatures is great, but I wish I could find this effect a little more efficiently costed. He's great with Deadeye Navigator, but I'm not running it right now.
Trygon Predator: I've wanted to cut this guy for a while now, but I just haven't gotten around to it. The fact that he takes a full turn to do anything means that he's often too late to stop an important artifact or enchantment from having its effect. I've considered replacing him with Viridian Shaman, but I dislike the fact that it doesn't hit Enchantments.
Lim-Dul's Vault: This card is very powerful in some decks. However, it often ends up costing a ton of life to find a specific card and takes forever to resolve, which makes it a pretty frustrating card overall. i can see it being excellent in a very competitive setting, but I'm not sure it is necessary in my build. I may replace it with a creature tutor such as Green Sun's Zenith or Worldly Tutor.
Yawgmoth's Will: For the most part I have found that I usually don't have enough mana to really take advantage of this card without the boost from Urborg + Coffers. I usually only have the mana to cast one or two spells out of my yard after playing this, which means it's usually worse than Snapcaster. It's still pretty strong, but I feel like this spot could be better used.
Jarad's Orders: This one is a bit more expensive than some of the other graveyard filling cards. The fact that it also bring a creature to hand helps make up for this though. Like the previous card, I still feel like this is a pretty powerful card.
I've also been considering trying to fit in another piece of spot removal like Putrefy, as well as Deadeye Navigator, which makes all my ETB guys many times more threatening and is an absolute bomb with so many creatures (Sylvan Primordial, Rune-Scarred Demon, etc). Adding him in would probably make me keep Duplicant in because they pair very well together.

Thank you for the comments and clearly I should have read the card better before posting.

I feel the same about Genesis. He has potential to be powerful, but I'm never wanting to enable him. I'll pitch him to Survival, or maybe bin him with Jarad's Orders, but he is never something I really want to see. I might cut him for Plasma Capture, but honestly if you draw a single swamp or utility land in the first 4 turns you aren't casting that card. I still have my reservations.
Havengul Lichseems really good, I don't own one for some reason.. So I don't know how good it plays. Prime Speaker doesn't excite me. Most of my guys are little value ETBs or much better on their own. I think she could be cut pretty easy.
Duplicant is a card I have unnatural love for. I can understand why you would consider cutting him though.
I agree with your feelings about Trygon Predator. He is too slow for the format, sadly. I've never liked Lim Dul's Vault either.
Lately I've felt the same way about Yawgwill as well. It requires so much mana and sometimes it just rots in the hand while you wait to take advantage of it.
I really like Jarad's Orders. I've never been too sad to see it and get some creatures set up. I can't see cutting it but if you don't like it then make room.
___
Running Dead-Eye seems great to me. He is pretty late game, but the power level is amazing. Putrefy has been serving me well for a while now.
Currently I'm trying Yavimaya Dryad and Sword of Light and Shadow. I don't really like the double green cost on the Dryad though. I might cut Urborg for a forest, and I really want to get Twilight Mire in the deck but I haven't been able to find one. Lately I've been considering a sac outlet to make Living Death even more potent. Maybe something with some life-gain?
These are the sac outlets which I saw as decent possibilities. In particular, Drowned Rusalka and Krovikan Horror jumped out at me because they help fuel our graveyard shenanigans while also serving as a sac outlet. The other Rusalkas would also work pretty well because of their low CMC. I'm not sure how I feel about Greater Good. On one hand, it draws a lot of cards while also filling your graveyard if you have big creatures. However, if you're sacing creatures with power 3 or less, you're losing card advantage, and you can end up losing your whole hand if you need to sac multiple small creatures.
I'm not sure how I feel about these changes, so testing will have to show. City of Brass and Windswept Heath are in the mail and will be getting added to the lands. I'm going to keep Zegana for now because I haven't tested with her as much as I would like to. Also unsure on Lim Dul's Vault. I thought about adding in Green Sun's Zenith for it, but I'm not sure I have enough good targets. I just don't like how Vault costs 2 mana and is card disadvantage, in addition to costing a significant amount of life.
Also, I'm a bit concerned with going down to 25 creatures. Are there any creatures you guys find useful that aren't in my list? I really prefer to be up around 26-27 to be sure I have bodies for Swords, Survival, Pod, etc.

Some suggestions that I love in my Plasm deck. sheoldred, whispering one is great for turn after turn reanimation.
I really like Woodfall Primus and Terastodon for those pesky lands, enchantments, and walkers.
Primus works wonders with Mikeaus and a sac outlet as well.

Sheoldred is good, but a lot of mana to invest if it gets removed before your next turn comes around. I think maybe Braids, Cabal Minion would be a good choice for the constant sacrifice effect while drawing quite a bit less attention and costing significantly less mana. I used to run Terastodon, but I feel like he is outclassed by Sylvan Primordial, which is why I made the switch.
Speaking of Braids, has anyone else tried her at all? I feel like Life from the Loam and Crucible of Worlds could help keep her fed, although I'm not sure if she will have enough of an impact in a non stax deck.
So I've started making Mimeoplasm as my second deck, and as I do whenever I make a new deck I run it through a list of many different scenarios to see how it holds up. I then realized how little options BUG has to deal with indestructible stuff, such as Blightsteel Colossus. Is there something I'm missing or are we truly relegated to just using Duplicant and the like? Even red has stuff like Into the Core.
duplicant it is.
its why I run etb mana dorks to help with chord of calling early game and all the other tutors we run.
clone effects work wonders on huge eldrazi and even blightsteel.
if you can flash in the clone to block blightsteel they'll trade. oubliette is another exile option tho narrow.
If you can flash mimeoplasm in response to gy shuffle you're golden.
Oh yea, cyclonic rift works wonders too.
So I posted a thread about this, but I figured maybe it would be better to just ask here. How many basics lands are you guys comfortable running? I am down to 9 now and I am worried that I should be running a couple more to be in a comfortable range. Nobody in my group really plays Blood Moon, Back to Basics, etc, but someone recently pointed out how vulnerable some of our decks would be to effects like these, so I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing them in the future. I'm especially questioning the inclusion of some of the "utility" lands that don't do very much, like the 3 Kamigawa block legendary lands. I rarely use these for their effects, but I figured they're functionally superior to basic lands the majority of the time. However, I also feel like they could be an easy choice to replace with basics to make sure that my deck isn't too vulnerable to nonbasic hate. How many basics do you guys run?

Clones are playable because they (normally) allow you to get another ETB or remove a legend for very cheap. This one sorta fails on that front. I can imagine it taking over some games if it goes unanswered, but so many cards can do that for 6 mana.

I'd sooner run Mimic Vat, Clone, or Vesuvan Doppelganger if I needed another clone effect.
I think it's fair to say that in ETB BUG Phantasmal Image and Phyrexian Metamorph are basically auto-includes.
Ive been trying to lower the CC in my deck as it is...

This is exactly how I feel about this card.

Havengul Lich seems really good, I don't own one for some reason..

Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)

Sheoldred is good, but a lot of mana to invest if it gets removed before your next turn comes around. I think maybe Braids, Cabal Minion would be a good choice for the constant sacrifice effect while drawing quite a bit less attention and costing significantly less mana. I used to run Terastodon, but I feel like he is outclassed by Sylvan Primordial, which is why I made the switch.
Speaking of Braids, has anyone else tried her at all? I feel like Life from the Loam and Crucible of Worlds could help keep her fed, although I'm not sure if she will have enough of an impact in a non stax deck.

its why I run etb mana dorks to help with chord of calling early game and all the other tutors we run.
clone effects work wonders on huge eldrazi and even blightsteel.
if you can flash in the clone to block blightsteel they'll trade.
oubliette is another exile option tho narrow.
If you can flash mimeoplasm in response to gy shuffle you're golden.
Oh yea, cyclonic rift works wonders too.
has anyone ever tried an all in t1 or t2 wincon?
