Angel is unplayable, definitely a Timmy mythic for casual players. If it cost 3W and had first strike and vigilance, maybe I would consider it over Restoration Angel.... maybe. At the moment it's so laughably inferior to everything else you could be playing for 5CMC, we'll see if that changes.
Still, I'd rather have those as mythics instead of 2CMC 4-go-in-your-deck, extortionate chase mythics like Geist of Saint Traft and Voice of Resurgence which Wizards print every block
This.
At one less mana it would be a Johnny-Spike card. At five, it's a Johnny card, with one and only one caveat - it may see 1-of use in some future version of Melira Pod.
If it's the top of your curve, your deck loses to Supreme Verdict. If it's not the top of your curve, your deck loses to Sire of Insanity.
The new Angel is probably going to be a fringe playable standard card. It provides UW/esper a good creature to stabilize with against aggro. And if swagtusk rotates out, she'll be in good times.
I would play it as a 2-of in a UWx control shell, probably split between main and side.
Standard play? Eh...hard to say, but it will make things like Chalice of Life very threatening. Maybe even make something like Exquisite Blood good in a B/W aggro or midrange deck?
New angel seems good in Pod. Along with Kitchen Finks (a 4-of) and a sac outlet (usually 3-5), you'll get infinitely large creatures and infinite life. Seems pretty sweet.
I mean, hell, we're all on a forum for something that most people would describe as a "children's card game"...do what makes you happy. You are never too old to enjoy yourself.
In the same way you can tell someone is from the XVIII century because he is arroused by ankles, you can tell someone is from USA because he feels nipples disturbing.
Do pump spells effect show up on the card stats when you play DotP?
In the screenshot you can see the numbers are green, which mean they are increased via pump or counters or w/e. Black numbers are the actual p/t and purple numbers mean decreased.
Do pump spells effect show up on the card stats when you play DotP?
Yes. Note how P/T is displayed in green. It meens the stats are buffed. It's really nice in DOTP, if a card changes color, gains a type or becomes an artifact it changes it on the card.

Three more attached. Hope there's something new in there.
Ooooh!! Day of Judgement! Hope that's really true. 8 Sweeper effects in standard with Supreme Verdict. UW Control is very viable again!!! Long live UW Control! We need a reprint of Celestial Purge now!!
You played JESUS?!?! I heard none of his guys stay in the graveyard, and once you think you have him beat he ALWAYS comes back to win within three turns. I like...WORSHIP him.

Reprints appearing in DOTP does not mean it will be reprinted in the core set. All you can really look for in DOTP are NEW cards - those are a guarantee to be in. Not so much on the reprints, sadly.

Sad for who? Sad for control players who want to durdle until time in round?
8 sweepers at 4 mana is criminal. At least Terminus is sort of a wild card.
This is not sad.

If it costed 3W, first strike and vigilance, it would be totally broken I mean, I don't care if you attack with Hellrider or Thragtusk, I will kill it blocking with my Archangel, my creature will still be alive, I will gain life, now all my dudes are totally powerful..............
It costs totally ok. It is hard to make balanced cards with "Whenever X happens, you do Y". There are plenty of cheap cards that make you gain life for doing nothing, and that they are good cards by themselves. In the correct situations, the archangel's effect will be immediate, like having Seraph Sanctuary on the field, or Trostani.

That wasn't meant as a "Sadly Day of Judgment wont be in" comment. Now, the various times we've seen other cards in this that we'd have LOVED to see back, THAT is sad.

Oh ok. I thought maybe you were one of those anti-social passive-aggressive UW players who come to fnm with the sole intent to frustrate, bore, and dawdle at the expense of everyone else's fun
No seriously. I loathe UW. I've got a few UW players in my playgroup and not a single one mingles socially between rounds.
They are there because they hate people.
I actually had one ask me to concede him into the top 8 in game 3 because he "had the game but just never saw one of his TWO wincons".
The second one Dawnstrike Paladin?, Human Knight
Angel is cool. Get ready to never ever win a match against angel+baron.dek with your red aggro.
Also that angel is flipping sweet, but probably too expensive to be playable in Standard. But who knows.

While Thrag was splashed more, Thundermaw went over the top of Tusk and won our hearts in a contest of pageantry. I mean, he smashed face..
Healer of the Pride (meh), Trostani, Selesnya's Voice(better), or anything with extort(requires 6 mana, though) to trigger the +1 as soon as it enters, meaning they need instant removal and the rest of your board still gets +1.
Do pump spells effect show up on the card stats when you play DotP?
Is... is that a 6/6 spider for 3...?
It's a pumped Gloomwidow.
The real question is why isn't Advocate of the Beast a metal band's name?

I'm pretty sure it will see modern play. I will personally make a deck of it, I totally liked it, more than my infect deck, lol.
Do anyone remembers Herald of War? I guess they both would be nice friends, along your set of Sphinx's Revelation to keep emptying up your hand, lol

I think it starts with "Zukunft(s)" which means "future-(something)". But it's really hard to make out, so I can't guarantee it...
