I will never buy Black on Black art. It's a dumb concept, and from what I've seen thus far, it sucks. The price tag on it is outrageous as well for such a crappy concept.

Anything is possible. What matters is what is probable. Keep in mind probability is a variable we can all alter.
Actually, the price is on the slide the average sold has dropped to between 250 and 300
If a set is 250 that means they are losing money, which makes no sense. Unless you meant a set of 1 planeswalker each, and not 4x of each, in that case still a profit of 100 is alright.

The box containing all 5 planeswalkers costs 59.99 or 65 at the con. Don't think they meant (play)Set. Also it's a profit of $185... I have 2 of these myself and I'm just SO glad I live on the west coast. It'll be interesting to see what limit they put on them (usually Hasbro puts a 2 limit on most exclusives) AND how "limited" the purchases will be from the Hasbro ToyShop online after the Con. If you can buy them within a day of when they were posted online then they aren't going to be worth much.
"If fetch lands are reprinted I really believe they will be in allied colors (aka Onslaught fetches). If the fetch lands are reprinted you better believe that we'll all be fetching up basics. This would lead me to believe that the set after THS may have a reprint as the temples can't be fetched but it's pure speculation." - posted 03/22/2014 proved correct during Khans spoiler season.
"The set releases for fall 2015 (Blood, Sweat and Tears) and fall 2016 (Lock, Stock and Barrel). One or both of those 2 blocks (I'm betting) are going to contain either Fetch reprints or (more likely) Filter reprints. Filter lands still need a reprint. They are getting pretty high up there and it's been longer than ZEN so it makes a little more sense that Filter lands would see print earlier that fetches." - posted 03/22/2014 proved incorrect about filters coming earlier than fetches, still pending on filters in Origins block.
Im going to Comic Con Friday and Saturday. I heard from a source that there will be a limit of 4-5 per customer. I plan to load up on these even though the line for Hasbro should be about 2 hours long.
You've obviously never been to SDCC before. I've never seen a Hasbro exclusive with a limit higher than 2 in my years of going. It would be shocking to see that change.
Also it's more like a half a day wait, first you have to wait in line @ 4AM to get into the con at a decent spot, then you have to wait in line to get a hasbro booth wristband. Then once the booth opens you have to wait in line and fend off line cutters, flippers and other unsavory characters that make their mortgage by buying this stuff and selling it on E-Bay. It's a jungle in there.... especially at the Hasbro Booth. Any other booth and this would have been a piece of cake.

Sounds awesome. Great to see wizards really rewarding their player base with this one.

Is it that bad? I made a few lines for things like Halo or Assassin's Creed and no line was longer than an hour or so. Thinking I'll waste half a day of Comicon just to resell some promos doesnt sound that pleasant anymore.

Has it really gotten that crazy? The last time I went to Comic-Con the line was maybe an hour wait and there was nothing really crazy happening. Granted this was like 6-7 years ago and I wasn't hitting the line up for some super limited thing there, but I was able to order anything they had that wasn't less than 1,500 or so total.
Sounds like the Con has gotten considerably worse.

My guess is that Thursday is gonna be alright, but Friday and especially Saturday will be a pandemonium.
Has anyone seen the art for the other 4 yet? If so, has it been posted around here?
I can't find it for the life of me (I think I saw it on Reddit) but the artist had a blog post up a few days ago about the artwork for the Jace - he showed sketches and mentioned it's the same Jace that's being sold on shirts at Wal-Marts.

Man, so much of the detail on Garruk is lost by the black-on-black scheme. The sketches are fantastic. If that's the Jace we'll see on the promos, I'm very eager to see how it turns out on the card.

I have a pass for preview night tonight, I will try to update the information for you guys.
Don't forget to pop on over to the Godzilla Experience! Sounds freaking sweet!!!
Also, I'm one of those who isn't a huge fan of these promos. I'm sure they look better in person (and if they are foil), but if my friend manages to score me one (she offered without me asking), I'm pretty sure I'll be throwing it on ebay to fund a FTV20 purchase instead.

I'm going to put one of mine up to do the same. Pending spoilers of course. The art for the other 4 cards should leak tonight. I've seen them but I don't want to post anything that will get me in trouble. I got my 2 sets from the warped tour. My wife and I won a raffle at the DotP booth and got these as a prize.

Has anyone found out what time theyre going on sale on the website? Right after the con on sunday or Midnight on monday.
They said it will take them an undetermined amount of time to make sure they have everything and inventory it before they put it up online. I would expect at least 24 hrs after the con ends.

I'm all for selling something for a lot of money, however you will want to sell these super fast. After talking to the higher ups at wizards I would not be surprised to see way more of these than people think and they all but seemingly confirming without coming out an blatantly saying it, that these will show up at other events in the future. Also at $65 that is a huge return on investment for them and they will likely sell these or something similar until interest wains.
Wow, seems like the vast majority is not interested in them, so it makes me wonder who would pay $250+ for one as no one seems to want them lol.
Also it's 5 planeswalkers, available only in a niche setting, in an art format that they've never done before. I don't think they look amazing, but they certainly are pretty sweet and pimp. If any of these guys make my cube, this is the version I'd want (especially if they are foil, but I guess that's still up in the air right?)
