I actually am looking at all avenues of potential cards to be played and I wanted your opinions of Purphoros, God of the Forge purely as an enchantment that pings for 2 when you play creatures and pumps your board of flyers. I have Sword of Light and Shadow and it does very well in testing, but this idea is just a matter of multi-level potential thinking and I believe the card does what we need it to do IF this deck can create a space where tapping out for an enchantment doesnt leave us open.

Decks I have in my bag of tricks- Needless to say, someone who wants to play will probably have a deck UB/x Faeries UR Storm XURWB Affinity G Elves UW control
My opinion is that there's no way Purphoros works in this sort of deck. That 2 damage trigger is not relevant in this deck, and the "anthem" takes a whopping seven mana to do anything whatsoever. It's a huge do-nothing. It's too durdly if you're the beatdown, and it does stone nothing if you're the control. I think it's the most overhyped card in Theros, and even if it isn't, it's completely wrong for this type of deck.
If you really want an anthem, go with Scion of Oona. If you really want to deal damage, play more burn. Purphoros isn't good at either role.
My list actually already went for the full set of scion of oona, but I went through all the pros and cons of purophos earlier this afternoon and the hand-management necessary to make full use of him as an enchantment pulls the biggest weight in the debate. I could see him doing dumb things in modern, but the speed at which this deck pulls its weight to play around the opponent makes me think that Mistbind Clique is the only 4cmc card that need be played (outside of cryptic, which actually played well for me countless times when only playing with 22 lands surprisingly...not saying you should 100% believe it works for you, but it was really odd). Anyway, back on topic, is there anyone who finds the RG tron matchup to be a pain? I actually put my mistbind cliques in the sb to gain a turn against them and force through damage, but I dont have any notes on how sucessful that plan is (in combination with blood moon) yet

I was thinking maybe anger of the gods could be a good sideboard option. It is 2 red which is pretty hard to cast but it could work wonders against voice decks, wiping out their board without any drawbacks from voice.Maybe even an early tarmogoyf if we get lucky
This is a concept for a land disruption deck I have been working on. It uses the faeries tribe, Pestermite and Mistbind Clique in particular, to reinforce the land disruption and tempo.
The concept is simple disrupt their early land drops with boomerang, spreading seas, and convincing mirage. Then follow through with mistbind clique, V Clique, and/or Sword.
I have a friend who is testing it right now, but I wanted your input on the idea.
Don´t you think you need more lands with a higher mana curve?
One thing I wanted to ask you guys more experienced with the deck, when I play against Voice of Resurgence and Kitchen Finks decks, on the second match, do I sideboard out Pilliar of Flame for Magma Spray or I play with both cards? I'am taking Pillar out, but don´t know if it´s the right choice.
You would want both for voice. Responding to voice at instant speed is irrelevant with the token it produces on the opponent's turn, but the instant speed is great against any other low toughness threat (Finks especially).
You don't need to champion a creature when Mistbind Clique enters play off of a Splinter Twin effect. You simply tap him to insta-lock down all the opponent's mana during every upkeep and sacrifice the copy upon entering play. He essentially becomes "Tap Mistbind Clique, tap all lands target player controls." I would say that's more than a simple soft lock against a vast majority of decks in the format that don't run Aether Vial.

Thats an interesting interaction. Then you can also use the Pestermite as valid Twin targets for the "oops I just won" effect.
But... then you will be asking yourself why am I not just playing Splinter Twin: The Deck (tm)?
I'm not implying that Splinter Twin is strictly better than Faeries, but if you are going the Twin route anyways...

I don't personally think that Twin is or isn't better. This is adding utility to Faeries on a level of recursion that greatly strengthen's it's mid-late game. It gives you: Counterspell on a stick, flashback on a stick, vendilion clique on a stick, mistbind on a stique... I'm not suggesting adding it for the "oops I just won" aspect since I think that Pestermite is lackluster in a tempo/control build such as UR Faeries... I'm suggesting that the utility that it can bring to the deck should strengthen it.
Edit: I personally haven't played faeries though, I was just thinking of ways to spin UWr Midrange and Splinter Twin is what I thought of it and it expanded to wondering what decks could dip for it to add a lot of power. I think it's an enchantment that has yet to be fully used in Modern.

What do you mean you don't need to Champion a Faerie? it specifically says when it is championed, tap all lands target player controls. you have to champion it for the conditional trigger to resolve, which means you need another Faerie for the Splinter Twin to not fall off.
Yeah, Splinter Twin is just a better deck for Splinter Twin (surprise surprise), especially the UWR version that has much more value creatures.
What kind of starting hand I am looking for against affinity? I saw Jeff Hoogland saying its a good match for us but I cant see why we got the advantage.
i think you're wrong with that interaction. you need to champion a fae to get the effect. its not "when ~ enters the battlefield, tap all lands. if you don't champ, sac ~"

I speak in sarcasm because calling people ******* ******** is not allowed.
Any explanation yet for this deck putting up a 4-0, 4-2 and a couple of 3-1's?
He's gone up to 25 lands, is slower, and lower on both removal and countermagic in order to introduce some mid-game tempo plays/tricks. Not quite sure how this is suppose to function but seems to have gotten results recently?
Sorry, my post wasn't clear at all. I meant to say that you didn't need one to be permanently exiled/championed. You can use it for a lot of combat tricks, especially championing a Vendilion Clique at instant speed to protect it and having it re-enter the battlefield for another trigger.
I'm not saying it's 100% smooth butter, but it sure adds a lot of potential value.

1) It enters the battlefield.
2) On entering the battlefield the effect: "Champion a faerie or sacrifice Mistbind Clique" goes on the stack.
3) You either Champion a Faerie or Sacrifice Mistbind Clique.
4) If you Champion a Faerie, the "Tap all lands target player controls" ability goes on the stack.
While Mistbind Clique is one of my all-time favorite cards in Magic, it's moved to the chopping block for now. There's too much good removal in Modern and it either gets 2-for-1ed, or you suffer from losing another attacker. Still trying to make this work in Mono U, but I just can't figure it out. The advantages of the UR version aren't just good, they're key. The extra reach the burn spells provide is crucial to making this thing run. I just can't afford a $250 adjustment to my mana base right now.
Edit: That $250 adjustment does not include Misty Rainforest. That would make it a $450 adjustment. WotC really needs to reprint the fetch lands.
“Modern has provided us a non-rotating format that is far more accessible than Legacy or Vintage, but still retains many of the qualities that people enjoy in those formats—such as a more stable metagame, the ability to play and tweak the same deck week after week, and simply a much more powerful card pool than Standard.”

You are correct. Here is how Mistbind Clique works:
1) It enters the battlefield.
2) On entering the battlefield the effect: "Champion a faerie or sacrifice Mistbind Clique" goes on the stack.
3) You either Champion a Faerie or Sacrifice Mistbind Clique.
4) If you Champion a Faerie, the "Tap all lands target player controls" ability goes on the stack.
