I THINK WE SHOULD LYNCH MD. I THINK MD IS SCUM. I WILL VOTE FOR MD IF IT LOOKS LIKE HE IS CLOSE TO A LYNCH.
I think Treigit is trying to subliminally say that I'm scum. I dunno, what do you guys think?
I'm really tempted to vote for Treigit out of principle. We have like 5 good targets and Treigit is still "OMG guyz, MD is sooo scum, LOOK AT MY CAPS!!!"

Did neither of you read either of my previous posts?
I'm not trying to get MD lynched right now.Despite thinking that he's still a good target, I realize that no one else sees things this way. As a result I unvoted.
I didn't vote for anyone else because I'm not in a position to advocate for lynches. The only reason for the caps in the last post was that DYH had suggested that my unvote while saying I support the lynch was to keep my bases covered. I wanted to make it abundantly clear (if it wasn't from the rest of the thread) how I feel about MD.
I think Treigit is trying to subliminally say that I'm scum. I dunno, what do you guys think?

MD, you managed to get out of a lynch once because you got very emotional after pressure was applied, and made it clear that you didn't know how to respond to it, NOT because you somehow managed to give good reasons for your behavior. Please note that no one made ad hominem attacks on you, even then. If you can't actually come up with a GOOD argument for why Treigit is scum, you ought to be directing your attention elsewhere.
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'
So, the day is like three weeks old now. I think I would like something else to happen.
Tregit, you are still vote leader and I'm not sure the votes are coming off you without some kind of claim. This will have the beneficial effect of allowing us to move on to someone else, or make a final decision and lynch you.
so:
Unvote;
Vote: Tregit
This would be my call for a claim.

Presumably so we can move on, or make a final decision, as Axel says.
The problem, as I see it, with the case against Treigit consists of the Pantheon idea (which is not half as bad as many of the points of discussion that townies have proposed on this site alone), and his habit of deflecting (which is obviously habitual; he does it consistently, even when called on it). Both are fairly likely to be attributed to lack of thought for the consequences, regardless of his alignment. I'd like some evidence of something more than carelessness before this bandwagon goes further.

'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'
For now, I think we'd be much better off wagonning a lurker and, if still unsatisfied, extracting a claim than doing that to someone who has NOT displayed any scum tell that I can see, despite a couple of persons saying so.
You can honestly say, without question, that you don't think Treigit has displayed a single scum tell this entire day?
I'm sorry, but I strongly have to disagree with you there. Although, I am a little wary of some of the goings-on around this wagon (Machin Shin's post, and AH's claim call come to mind).
With that in mind, and based on conversations not about this game that we've had in the past, Puzzle, I can support your first sentence idea. There are some folks who really need to get in here and participate- this game has been going for quite some time, now.
Because I don't think anyone's going to pay attention to how I feel about bluesoul until we get a solid reason not to vote for Treigit. Also because Treigit seems suspicous, though not to the degree bluesoul managed in a single statement. If the claim doesn't allay my suspicions, then I would feel comfortable voting for him. It's likely enough for him to be mafia that he'd make a fine lynch. But I think bluesoul's scummier, and unless I feel sure we have mafia in our sights, I'm not voting that way.
@Puzzle: I don't believe being mafia or town predisposes anyone to lurking, and hence that lurking brings little suspicion on its own. Nevertheless, I know how dangerous lurking can be, and the behavior you've described is such. Who is it you would like to wagon?
It would be irresponsible of me to claim at this point despite the votes on me (9 at the moment I believe), because many of those not voting me have said they find me to be town. Furthermore, those that have found me such include many of the games better analyists. Therefore, despite what Axel says, I see little reason to suspect that my vote count will continue to grow.
I asked in 520 for anyone voting me to refer me to points that they feel I've let go unanswered, or that I've not sufficently answered. I'm still waiting for a single example.
Because I don't think anyone's going to pay attention to how I feel about bluesoul until we get a solid reason not to vote for Treigit. Also because Treigit seems suspicous, though not to the degree bluesoul managed in a single statement.
Nobody's going to pay attention to how you feel when you don't cite the post in question.
You also just pulled an even worse version of what Chucklez did earlier (high on my potential scum list, also) by UNVOTING and then in not so many words, SUPPORTING THE LYNCH.
I'm going to have to strongly disagree here. Unvoting and supporting a lynch is scummy when the lynch target actually has a chance of getting lynched. That's because it is often an attempt to get a townie lynched while keeping the blame off of yourself and putting it on other townies. To apply that to this situation, where Treigit unvoted because his vote was useless on someone who is incredibly unlikely to be the lynch, is completely different, and not at all telling. So much so, I think that's worth a FOS DYH for bad reasoning to continue the attack on Treigit.
Doesn't look like I am replaced so I need to be. I am going to be gone (again) next week for a week.

Puzzle: since I said that I don't believe Treigit to be scum, having me list his scum tells would be counter-productive. Considering that I clearly didn't find him scummy even at the time I made that comment, I don't understand your perspective. I'd be much more interested in an examination of your scum tells, which I plan to get to eventually.
On the other hand, saying, as you seem to be, that Treigit hasn't exhibited any scum tells is dumb. If you had behaved as Treigit has, you would have been lynched almost instantly. The only thing keeping Treigit from the noose is a convincing story that he doesn't know what he's doing. I refuse to make a case against him that I don't believe in.

I said earlier I would be in support of this idea, and whatever it takes (aside from horrible fishing expeditions) to get the other half of the group to post to start doing so, let's do it.
I can definately get behind this for now. I agree we need to get some of the players talking a bit more (and yes, I realize this includes me :muh:). I still think that Tregit is probably scum, but this way we may actaully get some input from people other than 'I agree that Tregit has been looking like scum' or 'I don't agree that Tregit has been looking like scum'
I can't do it. Following Puzzle is statistically proven to be the fastest path to townie ruination.

That's a cop-out, though, the easy way forward. It gets things "done" faster, but it's not necessarily good play. In fact, I would say that it isn't. From townies, that is. We can't afford to go haring off after secondary targets, we want to put our primary pressure on the one player we think is most scummy (we as in individual players. For the town as a body, wagon diversity can be either good nor bad).
Vote Azrael.
Also, normally I would probably be hopping on a lurker wagon of one kind or another about now.
However, while forcing lurkers into the spotlight is all well and good for the town, in a game where there are so many lurkers, it's quite simple for the mafia to pick and choose which lurkers they want attention to be called to the most strongly. That's the biggest danger of lurker hunting, I've found. Still, it has to be done. Cautiously.

You're right. My vote on bluesoul isn't helping the town in the slightest, and it could help force out lurkers. Unvote, vote: Absolutionis. That's the direction you were trying to nudge me, right? Support the lurker hunt by suggesting others do it?

*shrugs*
I have no authority over anyone else's vote. My statement that I would normally be lurker hunting is simply my own stance. If people agree with it, so much the better, but I'm not out to jump on a soapbox to twist anyone's arm into doing something they wouldn't normally do. That just makes it harder to get genuine reactions from people.
An interesting attempt to switch tracks of a bandwagon for no other reason other than lurkiness.
The mere fact that I have no votes throughout do not denote a scum tell for the mere fact that in the end, my influence on misguiding the twon would be nothing. That is the biggest defense on my part.
If anything, I was curious when someone would finally start a bandwagon on me. Puzzle has a legitimate enough reason, backed up by facts and such. Silicon's vote was just a pressure vote, also a legitimate reason.
DYH's actions are perhaps another pressure vote.
Crop Circles, on the other hand, defends the common bandwagon (Tregit) and joins in on a bandwagon that formulated on nothing but pressure-votes. Puzzle, Silicon, and DYH all voted for me out of pressure alone. Crop Circles shows very little reasoning behind his vote.
That post doesn't sit well with me, and I would like to add to the "keep talking" pressure. Abso really isn't looking good to me right now. Definitely severe lurking and still following the thread which looks extra bad. However, due to reasons stated by AZ, I believe it would be a good idea to look more closely as Puzzle should Abso turn up town.
Treigit, I'm still watching you. I'm leaving it at FoS right now though, because I would really like to see Abso keep talking. (Note: This is more a pressure vote than a lynch vote right now. Depending on what comes, that may change.)
Treigit: I don't think he's scum. The dice-thing he mentioned is perfectly reasonable. His pantheon plan was pretty dumb and sort of scummy. I don't agree with DYH's practically relentless attack on him. His unvoting of MD even though he thinks MD is scum is something that is perfectly feasible.
MD: I didn't think he was scum before, when I made that one post, but it's gotten a bit worse. His attitude when he claimed seemed like a complete 360 turnaround from how he was before, when he was going to spite the town for lynching him.
To adress Puzzle here about
wagonning hard someone for no reason on day 1 is newbish but directing the cop isn't ?
Were you refering to his vote 5 of you? Because that wasn't really what I was talking about specifically. I meant his general demeaner was of a noob. My mentioning of him seeming to try to placate you was when he said he liked your general playstyle and his somewhat ass kissing.
About him directing the cop: At the time I remember thinking, "That's either very noob or very scummy." Looking back, that "very scummy" should've been a "very nooby scummy".
Arimnaes: I think he's very scummy. That !Chucklez! vote was just so scummy. His Kops vote didn't seem too strong either, IIRC. Right now he's probably number one on my list.
Vote: Arimnaes.
Lei: Rather then just to say, "busy can't post" + excuse, like I did, it seems to me like she meats up her posts a bit more to make it seem like there's content. Also, I recall her not giving her own opinion and asking the town "what to do" in one post, which was rather scummy. Since she's being replaced, I'm going to wait for the replacement to speak first.
Bluesoul: His turnaround was very suspicious when I read it at the time. He voted MD after someone had gotten off, and when I felt like the wagon was losing steam, and wanted him lynched for today. Later he says that we could give him a pass for today. It seems contradictory, but his defense was fair. Somewhat suspicious of him.
Puzzle: His constant questioning back and forth between a couple of the other players seemed like something that should be in the mafia discussion thread. Not sure what to think here, I didn't agree with his strong pursuit of Bluesoul while I was reading.
Abso: 239 was bad.
I've been getting scum tells from Tregit.
However, when I got to the end of this thread, people started a bandwagon on Tregit. As much as I'd like to agree with the bandwagon, I'll hold off until someone explains why exactly the bandwagon is forming.
Because of those scum tells?
An interesting attempt to switch tracks of a bandwagon for no other reason other than lurkiness.
Puzzle has a legitimate enough reason, backed up by facts and such.
Quote 1 and 2 seem to directly contradict each other.
I like this wagon enough as to get off my one-man arimnaes wagon. Unvote, vote: Absolutionis.
Kenji: Don't remember who his attack was on (Kops?) but that "I still have points b, c and d! Vote: whoever" was very scummy in my eyes. Like it was said before, why not mention those points at first? FOS: Kenji
That's it for now. A few others pinged my scumdar, but minor things.
I wonder if Puzzle has any qualms about the speed of this wagon?

Don't have time to read everything now. I'll respond tomorrow when I have time, but for now I'd like to point out that we couldn't get more then 3 votes on Chuck, even just to post more, and yet Abso quickly jumps to 7(ithink) for the same purpose.
All is understandable, however when I turn up Town after my lynch today, I beckon people to investigate Puzzle and/or CropCircles.

I'm not cocky. I just enjoying having so much reading material. Read my other posts outside of this thread and you'll know I'm sarcastic about everything and an overall *******. It's hard to suppress that.

Vote: Absolutionis
I said earlier I would be in support of this idea, and whatever it takes (aside from horrible fishing expeditions) to get the other half of the group to post to start doing so, let's do it.

I can definately get behind this for now. I agree we need to get some of the players talking a bit more (and yes, I realize this includes me :muh:). I still think that Tregit is probably scum, but this way we may actaully get some input from people other than 'I agree that Tregit has been looking like scum' or 'I don't agree that Tregit has been looking like scum'

Psyche.
I can't do it. Following Puzzle is statistically proven to be the fastest path to townie ruination.
Vote: Tregit
Cautiously.
Vote Azrael.
Vote Azrael.
Here we go, you want my vote:

That post doesn't sit well with me, and I would like to add to the "keep talking" pressure. Abso really isn't looking good to me right now. Definitely severe lurking and still following the thread which looks extra bad. However, due to reasons stated by AZ, I believe it would be a good idea to look more closely as Puzzle should Abso turn up town.
Treigit, I'm still watching you. I'm leaving it at FoS right now though, because I would really like to see Abso keep talking. (Note: This is more a pressure vote than a lynch vote right now. Depending on what comes, that may change.)

I don't care if I was framed for murder if I only got a warning I would let it go.
General thoughts about a few people:
Treigit: I don't think he's scum. The dice-thing he mentioned is perfectly reasonable. His pantheon plan was pretty dumb and sort of scummy. I don't agree with DYH's practically relentless attack on him. His unvoting of MD even though he thinks MD is scum is something that is perfectly feasible.
MD: I didn't think he was scum before, when I made that one post, but it's gotten a bit worse. His attitude when he claimed seemed like a complete 360 turnaround from how he was before, when he was going to spite the town for lynching him.
To adress Puzzle here about Were you refering to his vote 5 of you?
Because of those scum tells?
Quote 1 and 2 seem to directly contradict each other.
I like this wagon enough as to get off my one-man arimnaes wagon. Unvote, vote: Absolutionis.
Kenji: Don't remember who his attack was on (Kops?) but that "I still have points b, c and d! Vote: whoever" was very scummy in my eyes. Like it was said before, why not mention those points at first? FOS: Kenji
That's it for now. A few others pinged my scumdar, but minor things.
We? As in: you and Puzzle? Partners in arms?
Exactly what reaction are you talking about here? I never said I had a problem with the speed of the wagon. ( I might or might not as the case may be). I was asking about Puzzle. Why are you answering for him?

I hope you don't mean the revote in #563, 'cause that was clearly a joke unvote to begin with. If you mean #537, I thought I made clear at the time it was mostly a "let's get this show on the road" kind of vote. I was not calling for a lynch so much as a claim. I haven't gone back to try and justify it more (but I said I would, remember?)
Seriously. I was talking about Absolutionis reaction, not yours. Also, your question to Puzzle was phrased as an idle musing. I thought I'd jump in and say what I thought.
@Puzzle: What the heck? Is it amusing you to let Axelrod think we're masons or some nonsense? This is not good. I feel manipulated.
Thank you MMoD for spotting it. That said, I'm not too thrilled about switching votes here. I think Treigit is a very good lead.
I'll FOS: Absolutionis and see which way the wind blows.

Now that's a bit too mellodramatic. Just going to roll over here? No interest in defending yourself? In fact, excusing the people voting for you by saying "all is understandable." That's kind of bull.
You have done yourself no favors.

My vote just moved closer to "let's lynch him" (not sure it's all the way there yet, but it's close).
