Hunted Charlie got me. I am a sucker for people who want to quit the game. I quit after Ice Age, my parents found religion made me burn my cards. I torched a Beta Lotus, and Unlimited Ancestral, Ruby, Pearl, and Walk. I am now 25 moved-out and on the verge of bankruptcy. Those cards could bail me out right about now, THANKS MOM AND DAD!

W00t for the tag, but that sucks about the cards. Like, really sucks.

If you have multiple personalities, please press 3,4,5 and 6.
If you are paranoid-delusional, we know who you are and what you want. Just stay on the line so we can trace the call.
If you are schizophrenic, listen carefully and a little voice will tell you which number.
If you are depressed, it doesn't matter which number you press. No one will answer.
I've always tried avoidind them but I can't so now i jsut click on them purposley to go in. I want to make my new one. in big letters like mtg17....WHY MTG17 is so bad???? because he is always tagging evryone.
It's not bad per se, they meant bad as in bad-ass. I got confused earlier too. The big letters are a plus...and so is changing the link name...it says how a few pages back.
OK, that's it. All future people, link back to this:
Official Guide to Tag Thead Linkage
Method #1, first used by Chimpanzee
Description: Just creating a link to the tag thread, in the most basic-possible fashion. You can use [url] tags to link to the thread URL, or [thread] tags with the thread number in between the tags to link to the thread via MTGSalvation-specific tags (a more character-efficent method).
Pros: Very simple and easy to add, shows it isn't an IP redirect by being in the MTGSalvation URL
Cons: People remember the "1306" and don't click on links with it, takes up lots of space in signature, when loading shows that it's the tag thread
Method #2, first used by Forcystus
Description: Linking to your own post in this thread to avoid detection.
What you should link to: Varies, since you'll be linking to your own personal post. You can use basic [url] tags to link to it, like Forcystus' link, http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?p=13528#post13528, or you can use the MTGSalvation-specific [post] tags, with the post number in between the tags. Either way, if you don't know the URL/Post Number of the post you're linking to, follow one of these methods.
1. At the top of this page, find the "Search this Thread" button. It should be between the top of the first post on the page, and the navigation bar that allows you to navigate through the page.
2. Click on "Search this Thread" to open a drop-down menu, with spaces for "User Name" and "Search this Thread". Leave "Search this Thread" blank, and fill in your own username into the "User Name" space. Then hit "Go" to start the search.
3. You should then see a list of all the posts you made in this thread, along with the first few lines of each one. Find the post you want to link to.
4. Right under the words "Posted by [[Your Username]] and right above the first few lines of your post, there should be the first 5-10 words of your post in blue (linked). Click it. This should bring you to your post.
5. Now just copy and paste either the URL in the Address Bar or the Post Number, depending on what method you're doing. This is the URL/Post Number you should use.
1. Make the post you want to link to, if it isn't made yet.
2. Find your name on any post of yours, anywhere, and click it to open a drop-down menu. Click "Find More Posts by [[Your Username]]".
3. You should then see a list of the last 500 posts you made, newest first, along with the first few lines of each one. Find the post you want to link to.
4. Right under the words "Posted by [[Your Username]] and right above the first few lines of your post, there should be the first 5-10 words of your post in blue (linked). Click it. This should bring you to your post.
5. Now just copy and paste the URL in the Address Bar or Post Number. This is the URL/Post Number you should use.
Pros: Very hard to detect, shows it isn't an IP redirect by being in the MTGSalvation URL, personalized and leads to whatever you want (just edit the post you link to, or make a new post)
Cons: VERY LONG address that will take up lots of signature space, shows it is the tag thread as it loads, possibly (need confirmation) detectable to the trained eye.
Method #3, first used by Einsteinmonkey
Description: Using http://tinyurl.com to shorten the URL-- conveniently both hiding the URL and saving space in your signature.
Pros: Very short, doesn't take up much signature space, doesn't show the "1306" so people are more likely to click it
Cons: Still shows that it is the tag thread while it's loading, people are starting to remember the URL and avoid it too
Method #4, first used by Chimpanzee, rediscovered by mtg17
Description: Linking to the specific FIRST POST of the tag thread, rather than the THREAD, to avoid detection. You can link directly to the post URL using normal [url] tags, or use MTGSalvation-specific codes to link to the post using [post] tags with the post number in between the
Pros: The URL is unknown for now, so people are more likely to click it, shows it isn't an IP redirect by being in the MTGSalvation URL
Cons: LONGEST OPTION, so it takes up the most space in your precious signature, people will eventually learn the number "13130" and avoid it, still shows that it links to the tag thread while it's loading
Method #5, first used by Hunted Charlie
Description: Using www.shorturl.com to make your own redirect to the tag thread.
Pros: Length is very short to save space in your signature, doesn't show that it's the tag thread while it's loading, impossible to memorize the URL (because new ones can be made), so people are very likely to click it
Cons: You CAN tell that these URLs are from ShortURL, because they are all of the form "xxxxx.yyyyy.com" and the "y" slot only has 26 possible choices (you define the "x" slot), not quite as short as TinyURL.
I'll check in and update this every once in a while.
Thanks Hunted Charlie. Now we don't all have to search the entire thread for this method...and 1306 will be INVINCIBLE! But granted, people will get annoyed with this thread...but people haven't been caught lately and this may help.
Just a note about linking to the first post: It is actually an very character efficient method since you can use the seldom used [post] tags just type [post=13130]Your Link[/post]. The same can be done with the [thread tags using 1306.
[sarcasm]oh, gosh tagged by mtg17!! roflmao!![/sarcasm]
@Hunted charlie-Nah, nothin else, if you change the url, there's no chance anyone will know (unless you have not changed it in a while, for instance some people recognize avy of kokusho's).

3CB and 4CB5CB!Edit: Alright, let's see how many people want to find out about Mark Rosewater's personal life.

You might want to use a redirect instead of just Thread 1306. W00t for the tag, but that sucks about the cards. Like, really sucks.

What you should link to: Varies. You can make your own custom redirect to this thread. Currently used ShortURLS include http://huntedcharlie.hereweb.com, http://kokusho.antiblog.com, and http://kokusho.ebored.com, but if you want to use this option please make your own ShortURL instead of taking one of these, because that way we can avoid detection.
