Am I the only one that absolutely loves TP on the Gamecube? I mean.. it's the little lunchbox's last hail and farewell. It looks and feels just like the Wii version, and I much prefer the old controller, personally.
I'll second the rayman game. Pure unadulterated insane-yet-hilarious fun. You'll never look at rabbits the same way. Plus, it's even more fun in multiplayer.
I actually have a Wii points card, but I can't use it since I don't have wi-fi or any place with high-speed internet. It saddens me, but hey, not much I can do about it.
Miis are graphical, 3d representations of you that are used in the Wii Sports game and will be used in future games, as far as I'm aware. They're sort of like less complex Sims avatars. No actions or anything, but if you play games like Wii sports, you can use them as avatars for yourself. Apparently your scores are also saved to your Mii, and you can send them across to other systems and, I guess, they'll play at your skill level.
Rayman I liked... Not sure if I'd buy it, though. It's a very multiplayer oriented game, and it seems impossible to get more than 1 controller right now.
Oh lord, I cannot put into words how badly I want a Wii. I'm going to suggest Trauma Center: SO to you too, 'Fox, because I've heard nothing but good things about it. Also, if you're into some action RPG stuff, Super Paper Mario is coming out in April. I can't wait for that one.
The games I'm most lookng forward to are Dragon Quest Swords and the Wii MegaTen titles, but they're all tentative so yeah. As for the virtual console...Nintendo better pave the way for me, yo! I want all my old NES and SNES RPGs back and I'm not gonna stop until I have 'em!
Miis are fairly entertaining if you create them right, too. I was playing sports at school, and they had created Gaara, Rock Lee, Michael Jackson, Weird Al, and a bunch of other characters. Michael Jackson actually won at boxing... Like that'd happen in real life.
I somehow managed to get 4 controllers and 3 nunchuks. One of the controllers I haven't even opened yet, because we haven't needed it. I figured between me, my two brothers, and my dad we would all play at some point, but so far it hasn't happened.
You can send messages with them too! There's a whole message board-ish system created so you can send messages to your friends. I think you can include the avatar of your Mii with them as a little picture. I'm not sure if you can send them this way, though. I think you 'send' them by either actually sending them, or playing with that person. I'm not sure, there's no online capable games out at the moment that I'm aware of.
And dont expect me to dance...i suck at that. I like singing though...
LOL at the hug comment
Bah. What good is a faerie if it isn't dancing -_-.
(don't worry. I can't dance either. And I only dance dance so-so.)
blue of course is just a screen name developed from a long lost inside joke having to do with the old television show Password. (I'm a fan of word play.)
I'm sorry my color offends you.
Mint: I'm a fan of mint. I am NOT a fan of coffee. That's why I ordered the frapp instead of a coffee. Someone got it wrong once and it did NOT make me a happy shade of blue >_<
On the heels of his good news, no less! A hearty congratulations to Shadowfox for his acquiring the Wii. I know I'm not the only Regular here that's green with envy. But onto the man himself.
Shadowfox, or as he prefers, Fox, (DO A BARREL ROLE! :p) has been a member of MTGS since February of 2006, and a Regular of the Coffeehouse for quite some time. His real name is Joeseph, but please--just call him Joe, if you must use his real name. He much prefers Fox. Unlike most of us clever Dans here, Fox claims that there really is no hidden meaning behind his username--it just sounded cool for the Magic forum. He says he uses it everywhere he goes on the interweb, but MTGS got it first.
Coming 'ages and ages' ago to MTGS on another username, Fox left it after a while, but returned using his current name for much the same reason we all did--the Rumor season. He says that though the Coffeehouse is his favorite place to go on the forum, he enjoys to scour the Custom Cards forums and Humor. Silly Fox.
Concerning Magic, Fox's favorite card in the game is Ascendant Evincar, the first rare he ever cracked. I'm surprised he didn't flip for joy when I reprinted it in Core Set: Salvation. His favorite decks are always changing--he's a Johnny at heart, and one with very little spending money for cards. The one he mentioned included Pristine Angel, Luminous Angel, Clockwork Dragon, and Tooth and Nail, all in a green-white deck he won a Darksteel Prerelease with (he says he had plenty of mana fixing to be able to do this).
When he's not tinkering with his cards on MWS (recently having fun with Body Double), Fox has a rather moot social life. He spends much time with his family, as well as 'a bundle of A Level work' to keep him busy. He aspires to one day complete his schooling and become a teacher. He's going to college in the fall, and was surprised three years ago to find out he has a half-sister. He'll be turning 18 on February 16th! His set project, Coliseum, is nearing completion--I hope he allows me to add it to the Coffeehouse's rapidly growing list of sets!
Now to the Coffeehouse. When asked what he liked best, his answer had two parts: First, the Coffeehouse's origins; he loved how Omna's IYS thread set a record (that was broken later, but it still is a big testament). The 'originals' of that IYS thread expanded it into the Coffeehouse you see today, back in April 2006. He was a part of it, and is proud to be. Secondly, as practically every other RotW has said, is the people. The people are what make this clan great! Huzzah!
Fox's favorite menu item on the vast menu is, of course, iced tea. You're from Britain, alright Aw, I kid.
Concerning anyone in particular he enjoyed on the house, Fox had the following to say:
'Though the Coffeehouse wouldn't be what it is without every single member, there are a few people I'd like to mention:
I just wonder why the guy keeps trying, yo. It isn't like he's going to get anything out of it.
Whenever I call you 'Fox, Shadowfox, I'm tempted to spout off some line or another from a Starfox game, heh. I'm hoping there'll be new ones for the Wii and that they'll be good. Not sure about Command for the DS, but Assault kind of disappointed me.
"Pretty smooth flying, 'Fox." How's that for a congratulations line?
He spouted he was from a "Mosaic Universe" forum, created around the game "Mosaic Earth" that TFE created. I went and looked at it, after finding the link in N20. There's no hint of a Marshal Ney there. It was also only created about two weeks ago, so probably a front to get TFE back on the site. TFE is hardly a member there, either, even though Marshal Ney acted as if he had a helping hand in the place.
Yeah. I usually don't click links unless I'm bored, so I didn't catch any of that until it was too late. Aw well; the fact that he wanted to troll our clan means we're satisfactorily well-known, so hey! No such thing as bad publicity ^__^;;
Actually, Starfox jokes aside, I told you a week earlier that the next RotW deserved it a long time ago, and this is very very true. I love giving out RotW; it's something to look forward to. We keep getting new members faster than I can post them! We'll never finish at this rate.
Also, we will talk, but I hope I've cleared up most of the wordings in the version I showed FL. If that's the one you're referring to then I'd love to chat with you.
Hmm. I didn't know Sneaks was getting things done so fast. I'll ask him to see if he can restore mine, too. I just don't want to be a bother, and I have to ask him for so much regarding the Colo as it is.
*Mumbles something about not having a Wii* Oh, what? No, it's nothing.
Anyway, Congrats on RotW and getting a Wii, Fox. I need to get me one of both of those. I already have a 2nd controller for my brother to use when we get a Wii. I still need to pick up a Classic Controller though. And more than that, I still need to find a job. I've been looking around the area, but so far, I've heard nothing. I hope this will be changing very shortly.
Oh, and some new pairs of socks. Mine are starting to get holes in them.
Anyone know when the official PC MWS is coming out? I don't feel like browsing around to find it. Other than that, I've been playing plenty of DQ8.
I gotta say
being able to fly is one the coolest things evar! The only problem being that the map doesn't let you hover over a location and tell you what it is.
For right now, I need to get dressed and check the mail. I've been sitting in my PJs since I woke up. Later!
Edit: That reminds me. I'd like to get a new avvy and banner. I know I say that a lot, but this time...I mean it!
Hehe, once I got Ramia in DQ8 all I did for about an hour was fly around rhe worldmap. I'm really glad they used her original theme from DQ3, because it sounds splendid orchestrated. Once you get used to where everything is you should have an easier time, Buzz. It's easy to tell towns apart from each other after a little while. And look for hidden areas, too! Especially one around Arcadia ^_~;;
Coming in my next post: Regular of the Week...

Online MTG Award: Alacar Leoricar, BuzzDX, Crimson Avatar.
Contribution Award: Omna & Arguas, Alacar Leoricar.
I'd like to reiterate that I am grateful for all the members of the Coffeehouse, for making it what it is.'
Well, I should feel honored to be mentioned twice. But I'd like to know more of what each award title means...
And that's it for this week's RotW!

I loled, actually was hoping the account was legit, because the name itself is a terrific and subtle troll.
Too bad it turned out to be a spam gimmick.
Congratulations, Fox! Do a Barrel Role! (sorry, I've fallen into the wonder of YTMND)
