Due to bad judgment, bad luck, or both, Takashi Kamiyama is now attending this academy of dunces. Welcome to Cromartie High, the most notorious delinquent high school in Tokyo.
Yep, this guy Kamiyama just transferred to Cromartie High, and boy is he in for the shock of his life. There's just no telling what will happen next at this school - you'll find everything from robots to gorillas to over-muscled bare-chested singers named "Freddy". And those are just the students. Kamiyama really didn't know what he was getting into when he joined Cromartie High, but now that he's there, he's finding that just surviving the everyday is an adventure.
Cromartie might be aptly compared to "Azumanga Daioh", if AD was aimed at a little bit more mature audience and took place at an all-boy's school. The comedy is as esoteric and randomly hilarious as it gets, and it's a joy just to see what amazingly random thing pops up next at Cromartie High. The plot never really goes anywhere, but that's not the point - this one's a barrel of laughs and a plateful of absurdity. Ever seen a gorilla in a tutu? Cromartie's not quite as good as AzuDaioh when it comes to comedy, but it has a place right next to Excel Saga in my list of hi-larious anime.
In response to Mr.Stuff mentioning Alacar's home-video, I suppose it's time I did a proper one now. Still, it will suck, due to not having anything uber-interesting for you in my room, it will probably make you laugh at me with my funny British accent (ENGLISH >.<)

Studying? Well, I find myself studying more into general fields of chemistry and physics, which are your forte, yes? Oh, now I have a purpose... or rather, more purpose to study such areas of interest (LOL; as if:rolleyes:; it's more like I have to): exams, a degree, competition, pride, ambition, etc.
As for MSN, well, I haven't been able to use it since a week or so; something has messed up, and due to my lack of time, I haven't reinstalled it. Eh... someday... soon.:)

Shin': When banning someone suspected to be someone else, the mods take a lot into account. Take the recent banning of Marshall Ney, for instance, who we are pretty certain is TFE. IPs are checked and compared, behaviour is looked at, posting style compared... Personally, though I don't know either of them, the fact that Suki emailed YOU, instead of contacting a moderator or admin, pretty much puts the nail in the coffin to me.

So I just finished watching Saiyuki. I must say... This doesn't happen all that often, but Saiyuki actually made me damn sad that it was over (though there ARE extensions), and I almost cried because of it. This only happens to me through VERY good animes, books, games, or movies. Other series that did the same could include Twilight Princess, Love Hina (the first time), Cowboy Bebop, Noir, .hack//sign, the Bartimaeus book trilogy, and Howl's Moving Castle. It ranks high in my all time favorite shows.

Sadly, I've missed two days of classes due to car trouble. My car won't start, and I'm figuring it's actually more because of a dead battery (again) than cold weather. I'll see what I can do about it. Unortunately for me, I also missed a Philosophy test, and I'm just hoping I can make it up.
I'm also taking the lead on one of the WPs, since I was partly involved in it already and the leader had to leave.

I've decided that the animation and voices of Saiyuki Reload are going to severely hamper my enjoyment of that extension. It looks like the guys that did Inuyasha do the animation/new story (seriously, when did the demons transform into things?) and the voices just, to be frank, suck. Goku sounds like a whiney kid now instead of the badass he was. *le sigh*
In other news, apparently Adult Swim doesn't show all of FLCL. It's good to find the stuff I've never seen anymore. Unfortunately, I don't think it'll help make the series make sense.
@Suki: I didn't think Suki was Tneill at first, until I saw that she had an extendo-sig (already) called "Suki's Oriental City." Then I just knew it was her, and that the banning would come soon enough. Seriously, it's like she thinks none of us have pattern recognition.
Tneill was banned because she was duplicitous, had multiple accounts, caused drama, and behaved somewhat explicitly with some forum members. She was not banned because of really being male, or anything like that, it's just the memory of her that sticks out in peoples' minds.

A-ha! Now that makes sense. Honestly, pretty much the only contact with Tneill I had was in Gaymers and she was always pleasant, so I've been a little curious for quite some time what the hubub was about. The couple threads involving her I looked at when she was banned looked to me like she was more the victim of drama than the cause. While I can understand people not appreciating being lied to, when you think about it does it really matter who any of us truly are or does it matter how we interact on these boards? It seemed to me even if everyone was right that Tneill was actually a guy, their reaction was way overboard.
However, knowing that s/he was involved in ...inappropriate... activities puts a whole new perspective on the situation. It makes a lot more sense now.

Anyway, this weather is REALLY getting on my nerves. I drove down to the library today (the town is along the river), and what do I see? Sheets of ice floating in the mighty Ohio river. Geebus. I've had to park at the bottom of my driveway for the last week (and it's no fun to walk up), and for the past few days it's been covered in a sheer layer of ice at least half an inch thick all over, so you can't even walk on it (let alone drive up it) without falling down. I have to go on all fours just to get to my car in the mornings. Gahhh.
Really rough night last night for some reason. Was dreaming I was still playing AoE III and instead of sending my troops to go battle the enemy's troops, I would reach into the screen with my hand and squash them. Usually means I've been playing too much online, but yestarday I only played one game.
Bad news, one of the two colleges I applied to in Canada sent me a rejection letter. Basically they had a waiting list for interviews and only Canadian citizens were getting interviews, so they declined to further my application. I also think it might have been incomplete still, because my high school sends out transcripts at one speed only - regular snail mail.
Oh well. I honestly wish I had better news to post here. Y'all must be gettin' tired of hearing about how I self-sabotage and then whine about "bad luck".

So I just finished watching Saiyuki. I must say... This doesn't happen all that often, but Saiyuki actually made me damn sad that it was over (though there ARE extensions), and I almost cried because of it. This only happens to me through VERY good animes, books, games, or movies. Other series that did the same could include Twilight Princess, Love Hina (the first time), Cowboy Bebop, Noir, .hack//sign, the Bartimaeus book trilogy, and Howl's Moving Castle. It ranks high in my all time favorite shows.

Sadly, I've missed two days of classes due to car trouble. My car won't start, and I'm figuring it's actually more because of a dead battery (again) than cold weather. I'll see what I can do about it. Unortunately for me, I also missed a Philosophy test, and I'm just hoping I can make it up.
I'm also taking the lead on one of the WPs, since I was partly involved in it already and the leader had to leave.
In other words, the usual.

I've decided that the animation and voices of Saiyuki Reload are going to severely hamper my enjoyment of that extension. It looks like the guys that did Inuyasha do the animation/new story (seriously, when did the demons transform into things?) and the voices just, to be frank, suck. Goku sounds like a whiney kid now instead of the badass he was. *le sigh*
In other news, apparently Adult Swim doesn't show all of FLCL. It's good to find the stuff I've never seen anymore. Unfortunately, I don't think it'll help make the series make sense.

@Suki: I didn't think Suki was Tneill at first, until I saw that she had an extendo-sig (already) called "Suki's Oriental City." Then I just knew it was her, and that the banning would come soon enough. Seriously, it's like she thinks none of us have pattern recognition.
Tneill was banned because she was duplicitous, had multiple accounts, caused drama, and behaved somewhat explicitly with some forum members. She was not banned because of really being male, or anything like that, it's just the memory of her that sticks out in peoples' minds.
Hee hee. That's cute. I hope you don't feel weird if I say this, but you guys are such an adorable pair.

A-ha! Now that makes sense. Honestly, pretty much the only contact with Tneill I had was in Gaymers and she was always pleasant, so I've been a little curious for quite some time what the hubub was about. The couple threads involving her I looked at when she was banned looked to me like she was more the victim of drama than the cause. While I can understand people not appreciating being lied to, when you think about it does it really matter who any of us truly are or does it matter how we interact on these boards? It seemed to me even if everyone was right that Tneill was actually a guy, their reaction was way overboard.
However, knowing that s/he was involved in ...inappropriate... activities puts a whole new perspective on the situation. It makes a lot more sense now.

Anyway, this weather is REALLY getting on my nerves. I drove down to the library today (the town is along the river), and what do I see? Sheets of ice floating in the mighty Ohio river. Geebus. I've had to park at the bottom of my driveway for the last week (and it's no fun to walk up), and for the past few days it's been covered in a sheer layer of ice at least half an inch thick all over, so you can't even walk on it (let alone drive up it) without falling down. I have to go on all fours just to get to my car in the mornings. Gahhh.

Really rough night last night for some reason. Was dreaming I was still playing AoE III and instead of sending my troops to go battle the enemy's troops, I would reach into the screen with my hand and squash them. Usually means I've been playing too much online, but yestarday I only played one game.
Bad news, one of the two colleges I applied to in Canada sent me a rejection letter. Basically they had a waiting list for interviews and only Canadian citizens were getting interviews, so they declined to further my application. I also think it might have been incomplete still, because my high school sends out transcripts at one speed only - regular snail mail.
Oh well. I honestly wish I had better news to post here. Y'all must be gettin' tired of hearing about how I self-sabotage and then whine about "bad luck".
And I don't think you're too immature for a relationship--you've just got a lot going on right now, I think, and you need to be secure with yourself before you devote yourself toward anyone else.
