Free of the opresive, and somewhat nonsensicle, nullification aura No.44 does what he does best, he survives. New muscles buldge into place across his frame, bones harden and grow dense. Nuerology and blood chemestry are rewritten to meet a greater demand for both oxegen and speed. Dagger like talons rip throgh fingers in spurts of gore and pale skin gives way to inch thick plates of inky black chiten armor. His metabolism drained by this feat of un-nature No.44 seaks the nearest source of sustanance to shove into his now fanged maw, conviently there happens to be a nearby colony of bite sized bat bits.
It's the post right above your blood sucking coment. The profile's in the charecter thread if you want to look, again looking forward to your input.
No.44 pauses in the middle of his Oz fest as the gout of flame hits him full on. Brought to his knees by uncomprehendable mind ripping pain his personality clicks off causing him to run on rage, hate, hunger, and instinct alone. Thankfully the flame abates almost as quickly as it started. Adapting to this new paradigm more changes are made to his blood composition and more muscle mass and armor added. In a blind rage he turns and charges the sorce of the flame.
'Lo, there do I see my father. 'Lo, there do I see my mother, and my sisters, and my brothers. 'Lo, there do I see the line of my people back to the beginning. 'Lo, they do call to me. They bid me to take my place amongst them in the halls of Valhalla. Where the brave may live forever.
You still have to project your psychic powers, your brain has the ability, but in order for that ability to manifest, it needs to be projected. Shapeshifting, like my Alter ability, is also magic. Hence I cannot use any of my spells as well. Tell me how a normal person can change his own DNA and become a totally different person then I'll shut up.
Ah, ok, I had thought you had said it was fine. My bad.
Quote from Kasigi Yabu »
Since you can't expain it, then your argument is invalid. Did you notice my regeneration ability? I explained it by saying Vampires have high amounts of adrenaline. If you can't think out of the box, then you will never grow and improve. I'm already trying to give you advice here, I hope you use it.
High adreniline won't spontanoiusly heal damage; therefore it is just as likely that my character can manipulate stuff with his brain. Is is acually documented that the human brain can do weird stuff like that, just on a much smaller level. Solace is just a few orders of magnitude better at it and can do some other simalar stuff too.

1. I would be happy if your feedback rose to the level of a mature adult, and not from a childish whining because someone is bullying you. I do not see WarOne nor TFE complaining, because they know for as long as the Nullify is in effect, everybody including me, has no chance to use magic, therefore the playing field is level.
Ok, first, you admit that you where bullying me, and I'm the childish one? Also, it is not a level playing feild; you have super powers and regen and stuff. If I had Solace make everyone invincable to physical damage and proceded to energy blast everyone in sight, would that be fair?
Quote from Kasigi Yabu »
2. As I have stated in No. 1, yes it is fair and balanced because I can't throw a fireball at you too. Nullify does not mean I'm INVINCIBLE (note this is the correct spelling). Sucks to be you if you built your character without any physical defense. Blame your lack of foresight, and not how unfair the world is.
That's like making your character superman and saying it's our fault for not making our characters out of kryptonite. Stoping all magic is simply unfair to magic- baised characters, which are just as viable as swordsmen.
- I'm trying to help, if you're this cheap in your WP, no one'll play. Isn't that the point of playtesting?
Solace, noticing that the physics- defying barrior is gone, ran back twards the action.
Oh, yeah, that reminds me. To have a feild that auto stops all magic, you'd have to apply an infinate amount of magic- stopping force to it, in order to stop any magical force. Which is why I suggested a resistance field.
Kind of a moot point man...

One of the shuriken richoches harmlesly off the overlaping black plating that now covers most of No.44's flesh, the other however finds a soft spot and lodges itself painfully in the beast's eye. With a great bellow of primal agony it atacks again with renewed vigor against the nimble Tsut. With reflexes and strength several times those of any man the Hyde thing lunges at the warrior.

Tsut stopped abruptly and made the form of Zai once more, focusing all his energy as quickly as he could and releasing a jet of flame directly towards No. 44's charging face.

For a few moments it seems as if the beast is entirely engulfed in crimson liquid fire, but then as the magic subsides and the beast can be seen throgh the mist of steam haunched over on all fours. Its once pitch black armor is now iredesent and cracked in places like a piece of living raku pottery. White pus and red gore drips down the left side of its face from where its wounded eye poped in the flame when it was unable to close a specialy adapted sheild due to the protruding shuriken. Its obvious the thing was hurt by the attack but nowhere nerly as bad as it was the first time. It lets out a low, gutteral, and above all angry growl, and slowly starts to circle the warrior as if its trying to buy time before charging in.

Tsut drew his Kusari-gama, slowly spinning it over his head, and then giving the chain slack, inch by inch, so it was spinning in a growing circle at eye-level, at increasing speed, in an attempt to drive the circling monster away.

The beast hunches onto all fours and charges the chain weilding warior, he bares his fangs and claws and then with a great bellow and a leaping bound it springs above the plain of the chain weapon's rotation.

Two taloned hands grab the wide blade in mid thrust diverting it from its intended target. A bright redish brown liquid drips down the palms of the thing's hands falling to the ground in tiny tear like droplets. Where they hit the ground they leave small misty pock marks in dirt and stone alike. A faint, almost unnoticable, whisp of smoke rises from the sword were the Hyde thing grips it.

Tsut simply releases the Yari, leaving it in the monster's grip, and sprinted away with his agile feet, putting distance between himself and the creature while occassionally tossing a shuriken behind him.

The beast releases the weapon letting it fall to the ground, its blade severly marred and corroded but still useable and quite deadly in a skilled pair of hands. Its primitive mind has decided to seak a slightly less disagreable form of sustanance and, remembering the bats from earlier, wanders back to where it thinks it can get a quick meal of fox or bat meat.

Tsut quickly strolled forward, smirking as the beast's attention left him. Bending over to pick up his Yari and returning it to its sheath, he stood still, focusing his energy, his hands in the position of prayer.

Don't join then if you expect to breeze through everything and be the hero in the end by just crying and whining. If you can't handle this simple trick in a random battle, then I don't know how you will survive in a quest or WP wherein characters start off without much powers at all, fighting enemies stronger than them, and with odds not in their favor.

" I came to them in a flock of ravens that filled a northern sky at dawn...
Magic shall be written upon the sky by the rain but they shall not be able to read it;
Magic shall be written on the faces of the stony hills but their minds shall not be able to contain it..."
Name: Miles Smithwicks
Race: Human but his ancient bloodline is said to be traced to some norse king who was viewed as a demi-god
Age: Late 20's or early 30's
Appearance:Tall, almost too tall to be considered a human. He has large bulking muscles that are intimidating to say the least. His head is bald as a cue ball and his eyes, a warm inviting blue. Although he is said to be poor, Miles wearss a fine monks robe he earned in mastering the way of "gods hammer" fighting.
Apparel: A rich golden silk robe that is draped over his body and removed for combat to expose his barrel chest. Loose White pants are worn on his lower body.
Weapons: His fists are a mighty Weapon but he also has a 7 foot long polearm with a curved blade at the end. A pair of nunchucks are kept at his side but barely used. Monk Abilitys:
These abilitys are somewere in between the realm of spells and natural abilitys, they take a very long time to master.
Limitless Strength: The ki in Miles body allows him to be very strong.
Haste: Temporarely can double Miles Speed.
Kiai: A loud boom that can be released from Miles voice. Acts like a natural flashbang grenade.
Way of the monk: A skill that virtually allows Miles to lighten his body weight to reach great heights in the air and climb walls, think crouching tiger.
All of these spells but limitless strength can be nulled and he will be my charecter for Halycon
Yeah, I know, but I'm really trying to help Calvin out.

I'm serious, how is that any different from me making my character Superman, and saying that it's your fault for not having your character carry kryptonite around? Would WotC print a card: '1BB Instant, destroy all creatures'? Hey, you don't have to play creatures. I'm not.

I was only implying that it's counterintuitive to make a spell like that that I can't overpower. You've got to project that feild over 3954536 cubic feet. Solace only has to overcome the portion that he's in.
Miles turned sensing the arrow, the monk aborted his attack for the other man but before a response could happen, the monk was shot in the shoulder. He mercilessly removed the arrow and seemed uncarring to the pain.
@Solace: All we can do is offer suggestions and evidence, what he choses to do with them is strictly his own buisness, arguing the point any further from either side is a waste of time which detracts from the sensless violance were all here to enjoy, so why don't we drop the argument right here. @Kasigi: I'm looking for a home for this version of 44 do you think he could fit into Halycon? If not I suppose I could weaken him if need be.
The beast thing stops in its search of sustanance and suddenly straitens its haunches and stands errect. It seems to shrink a little loseing some of the rediculous perportions and muscle mass it gained in its fight with Tsut. The oil slick patterened armor plates that adorn its body slowly beguin to fall off, molting like month old scabs. After a few minutes the Hyde thing has fully regressed to No.44's resting state, his only noticable change from the ordeal is a small star burst birth mark around his right eye. Quickly, memory and self awareness returns to the naked once-human... Well, this sucks...
Then, for no aparent reason, a pair of pants, a bowie knife, a generic magnum with three full magazines of amunition, and a black cotton T-shirt emblazened with the slogan "never underestemate the power of stupid people in large numbers" flickers into existance at No.44's feet. Which, when you think about it, is bloody f***ing convienient. No.44 dresses and arms himself.
Suffering throgh the migrane that usualy acompanies a post regression suden synaptic recall, he make his way to the fight he can see starting on the horizon.
Kulgo notices that a new opponent, or an old one, he cannot be quite certain anymore, comes into view. He smiles widely, and then picks up his dementia cat, pets it, causing some wiffs of black smoke to come off it, and then throws it at No. 44, it's howl a screeching moan as it soars through the air.
No.44 hears the schreeching noise and turns his head just in time to be hit with full force of the inky feline in the face, which then explodes into a volume of pus, blood, and mucus far greater then that of the actual cat. In an ordinary person such exposure would probably be highly toxic and pretty near fatal. However, thanks to his overactive imune system, No.44 doesn't even notice the viruses and bacterieum held within the deceased deseased over sized rodent. What he notices is the fact that he's now covered in thick layer of milky snot. That's not right man, that's just not right...
No.44 draws his new magnum, checks to see that the safteys off, and unloads into the scitzophrenic sorcerer.
