We don't want any slackers. Please feel free to ask
for help; the Star Wars system is unique from both d20
and Dungeons & Dragons. That being said, here are the
guidelines.
Mamelon Point Buy System (32 points)
Character level: 12
Must make a Force-Sensitive character with at least
1 level in one of three classes: Force Adept, Jedi Consular,
or Jedi Guardian.
Prestige classes are allowed, except Jedi Master.
Instead of Wound and Vitality points, we are using the
Saga system of Hit Points. Each player starts with
three times the maximum of their hit die in HP + Con mod,
then rolls for their remaining levels.
We won't be using any other Saga rules.
We're using the Revised rulebook rules.
The game will take place ~1000 years before Episode IV.
If you haven't paid attention, alignment doesn't exist.
That being said, Darkside users and Dark Jedi aren't allowed,
but who knows? You might turn to the dark side. Maybe
you want to. That's up to you.
Wealth: It varies, depending on your character's race/class.
I will help develop your character's background. Please

Mkay, up to 6 attacks that miss by 5 or less (is this PER ROUND), I can attempt to send 'em back at a -3 penalty to hit. Targets can be within one range increment, depending on what's being fired at me. I feel very sorry for whoever shoots at this one. Increased Lightsaber Damage (4d8). Owie. Deflect (Extend Defense and Attack) As above, but anyone within 2m of me can gain the benefit of the dodge bonus, and I can redirect attacks made at allies within the same distance. Jedi Knight (Yay for rank.) Block (I can attempt to block a ranged attack even without a lightsaber active, however, if I try this without something to protect my hand I will probably be very, very sad.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

Considering we haven't even determined your wealth at the moment, you shouldn't be thinking this far ahead. You should be talking to me about your character to determine how many credits you have to spend on items.

Take your time, this generation will take a while (especially for Omna).
On Darkside points: You can use pretty much any power, it's all in your intentions to do so. Using Force Lightning to stun, surprise, or injure an opponent is fine, but killing them cruelly without a good reason with that power is dangerous.
Using Force Manipulation to choke an enemy is cruel; using it to throw a crate on them isn't so much, since they have a chance to dodge it (though not a very good one)
Crushing a ship with your power is cruel; crushing the engines is not.
Stuff like that, I guess. Besides, you can always atone for any points you get.
I just got home and I am getting started on my character. Looking like a Zabrak Jedi-Guardian for me. Expect some form of a start later on tonight, peppered with a ton of questions.

Ok. He is an ewok shaman, he follows the guidance of the spirits and uses this connection to "the ancients" as a mean of protecting and enforcing the will of the ancients.
he is plain and wise, and intelligent in an alien/mystical way, unlike jedi's he doesnt carry a lightsaber... in fact he carries no weapons, but he can imbue his gloves with the force and is as capable of fighting as any Jedi.
He carries a small totem which tradition dictates help them guide the spirits, either into the realm of the ancestors or into the world of mortals to help give guidance in teh situation.

edit: another question, force adepts dont get the Jedi Knight benefit but force warriors do... question is do the levels as force adept count when determining jedi level for the Force warrior? just want to have that clear before i add a Jedi Knight Feat im not supposed to have yet

All I need to know from you Omna is your race, class levels, and what kind of scoundrel/force adept you want to be (just gimme a basic description). Then I can cobble your sheet together.
Wealth and Special Items The Star Wars books are notoriously VAGUE as hell when it comes to wealth by level, as well as having no items that increase defense (only add DR) or increase ability scores. That being said, your characters' wealth is mainly dependent on your class and situation.
Omna's character is the best suited to make a lot of money--she has enough money for a starship and a collection of tools. AoK's character lives a spartan existence, being a pinnacle warrior for the Jedi Order. Sepiriel's character lived on Endor's moon for a good portion of his life, where wealth is irrelevant. Yukora's character has some access, being a Jedi Weapon Master that is focused exclusively on the double-saber.
So, I've decided to make things a little more easy on us.
Personal Enhancement Chip This tiny microchip can be inserted under the skin. These chips provide a mechanical bonus to an ability score, depending on their type and price value. The chip must be installed into the proper area for it to function. Only one chip may be active for each individual ability score at a time. The table lists the locations for each chip, and the price of the ability score benefit.
If a chip is installed into a location, no other item can be equipped into that location, except for clothing (and that clothing must not grant any additional benefits). For example, if you have the dexterity chip installed, you can wear gloves, but not enhanced gloves (Force-empowered gloves work fine). (In reality, this is rarely ever an issue.)
Personal Deflector Shield In addition to the DR granted by armor, a savvy adventurer often equips herself with a personal deflector shield. These shields, equipped on the belt (or wherever a good place would be) emits a field of deflector energy around the person's body, granting a deflection bonus to defense. The table shows the benefit and its cost.
Starting Wealth We're going to merely take the DMG's starting wealth divided by 10, so you all have up to 8,800 credits in value. You don't have to spend all of it--in fact, I would prefer you just buy what you think fits your character.
Omna: You get an additional 25,000 credits to go toward the purchase of your ship.
AoK, Yukora: Your lightsabers are free and do not cost any of these credits.
Sepiriel and Omna: Your force-enhanced weapon is free and does not cost any of these credits.

I've updated Omna's sheet a little, but I have one little thing to mention--the only useful ship she can afford is the Old Republic equivalent of a YT-1300. The problem is, there is no KOTOR book supplement.

i have a slight question... given the nature of my character, would it be possible to use light D&D armor? (you know leather or padded leather mail?) also im not sure if my guy has access to any armor at all... it never said so in any part of the intro... would it be possible then to just have a simple belt and attach the deflectors there?

Update: Omna's sheet is done, save for character appearance and the name of her ship. As for her ship, the YT-1300 is just plain perfect, even if it's not exactly in-line with Star Wars continuity, we'll just say that she stole (or won) one of the first YT-1300's ever made available. It's not as sexy as the Millenium Falcon, but she could spend her time and effort repairing it (especially with her repair skill :weird:)

Also, on dark side points: how does that work? I know you said alignment doesn't exist, which is cool by me. However, what about using what is commonly known as "bad" for "good" ends? Yes, I know, knocking your enemy on his butt is preferable to Force Lightning'ing them to death, but what are the consequences of using powers best left undiscovered, would I even have skill points in dark skills, considering at the start I planned to...umm..dislike the Dark Side?
Edit: Sep, one of the Force skills gives a boost to an ability score. I REALLY don't wanna know what happens if we all use it on each other...

As far as your question is concerned, I don't think so, but I could change that by adding a catalogue of 'enhancement chips' a-la KOTOR.
Take your time, this generation will take a while (especially for Omna).
On Darkside points: You can use pretty much any power, it's all in your intentions to do so. Using Force Lightning to stun, surprise, or injure an opponent is fine, but killing them cruelly without a good reason with that power is dangerous.
Using Force Manipulation to choke an enemy is cruel; using it to throw a crate on them isn't so much, since they have a chance to dodge it (though not a very good one)
Crushing a ship with your power is cruel; crushing the engines is not.
Stuff like that, I guess. Besides, you can always atone for any points you get.

Ok. He is an ewok shaman, he follows the guidance of the spirits and uses this connection to "the ancients" as a mean of protecting and enforcing the will of the ancients.
he is plain and wise, and intelligent in an alien/mystical way, unlike jedi's he doesnt carry a lightsaber... in fact he carries no weapons, but he can imbue his gloves with the force and is as capable of fighting as any Jedi.
He carries a small totem which tradition dictates help them guide the spirits, either into the realm of the ancestors or into the world of mortals to help give guidance in teh situation.

Ah ok so we can use offensive force as long as we dont have killing or direct cruelty intent, cool you just game me for fluff... now i want to make him a little more bioshock oriented
edit: another question, force adepts dont get the Jedi Knight benefit but force warriors do... question is do the levels as force adept count when determining jedi level for the Force warrior? just want to have that clear before i add a Jedi Knight Feat im not supposed to have yet

The Star Wars books are notoriously VAGUE as hell when it comes to wealth by level, as well as having no items that increase defense (only add DR) or increase ability scores. That being said, your characters' wealth is mainly dependent on your class and situation.
Omna's character is the best suited to make a lot of money--she has enough money for a starship and a collection of tools. AoK's character lives a spartan existence, being a pinnacle warrior for the Jedi Order. Sepiriel's character lived on Endor's moon for a good portion of his life, where wealth is irrelevant. Yukora's character has some access, being a Jedi Weapon Master that is focused exclusively on the double-saber.
So, I've decided to make things a little more easy on us.
Personal Enhancement Chip
This tiny microchip can be inserted under the skin. These chips provide a mechanical bonus to an ability score, depending on their type and price value. The chip must be installed into the proper area for it to function. Only one chip may be active for each individual ability score at a time. The table lists the locations for each chip, and the price of the ability score benefit.
If a chip is installed into a location, no other item can be equipped into that location, except for clothing (and that clothing must not grant any additional benefits). For example, if you have the dexterity chip installed, you can wear gloves, but not enhanced gloves (Force-empowered gloves work fine). (In reality, this is rarely ever an issue.)
Personal Deflector Shield
In addition to the DR granted by armor, a savvy adventurer often equips herself with a personal deflector shield. These shields, equipped on the belt (or wherever a good place would be) emits a field of deflector energy around the person's body, granting a deflection bonus to defense. The table shows the benefit and its cost.
Starting Wealth
We're going to merely take the DMG's starting wealth divided by 10, so you all have up to 8,800 credits in value. You don't have to spend all of it--in fact, I would prefer you just buy what you think fits your character.
Omna: You get an additional 25,000 credits to go toward the purchase of your ship.
AoK, Yukora: Your lightsabers are free and do not cost any of these credits.
Sepiriel and Omna: Your force-enhanced weapon is free and does not cost any of these credits.
