Hey guys, good to have everyone here this week Thanks for answering my many questions. Of course, now that I'm looking for those posts knocking Ashenmoor Gouger they are nowhere to be seen, but they were there, I swear! It was interesting to hear who reads/watches/listens to what; my habits are most similar to Gavin as I have plenty of spare time at the office to absorb anything and everything written about magic.
My favourite MTGcast moment? Well, in the time I've been listening I'd have to say the funniest part was Gavin's attempts at creating a math-based codeword, and the most interesting/exciting parts would by Tom's interviews with Maro, Forsythe and Mr. Devin Low. The saddest part, obviously, was the departure of Dom, so many years (weeks) ago. That said, I greatly enjoy tuning in every week, not knowing who exactly will show up, but knowing I'm in for a fun hour or so of magic related news and banter anyway
I'd love to tune in live next week, but I expect I'll be at work at the time! Will the cast be up as usual later on?

I imagine Maro has a huge ancient book in his office titled "Tempo Defined" and inside it is hollowed out and there is a bottle of whiskey
Great show, guys. I'll try to listen live to the next one!
Favorite MTGcast moment: Gavin + math. 'nuff said.....well, maybe Gavin+math-(math>Gavin<math)*math^math is a more appropriate depiction.
I was happy to hear Zaiem's name mentioned as a writer to look for. I completely agree. Among the crowd of aspiring, new, and up-and-coming writers, Zaiem is certainly near the top of my list. Good to see him get some recognition. I actually got paired against him at GP SF, and he was definitely a fun opponent.

I think my favorite moment would be when the pronounciations of the hybrid mana symbols was created. It was very interesting to come up with a way to pronounce those. Much better than saying (white/blue). WOO!
Too bad you can't preview the card early. Hopefully they will continue this for future releases. This is good PR for them. I would like to have this done for all releases from now until the end of magic.

I am looking for Date Stamped promos from Khans of Tarkir block so I can finish my set. Check my wants if you have any.
Currently offering 2 non-foil Kolighan's Command for a Date Stamped foil!
Excellent to hear the whole team back in action again, it's more fun and interesting this way.
My favorite MtGCast momment? Of course Tom trying to pronounce my nick name when I won his Fruitcake Elemental (for the record, my mother language is spanish, so I pronounce it (for English speakers) as ha-pou-nia-nou, he pronounced it as ja-po-nio, as far as I remember).
One question to the team: Do you fear that your card would be leaked here before your PodCast goes live? If it does, will you acknowledge it? (Unlike all the other official previews which never even mention if their cards were leaked before)
Good God Gavin you are hating on all of us who just recently started listening. I have to say that the one that I liked is when Gavin talked about his Extended experience just a few episodes ago. Also at plarp, the gouger is friggin rediculous, the other creature that does four damage (Inner-flame, alcoyte) has only 2 toughness, This thing can maul their creatures. Also fav shadowmoor card right now is Mercy Killing, and couple that with Fattie, and Garruk and (with the Leige).
Great show guys. I am also a relatively new listener. My favorite moment was in the last episode when Gavin and Derek were coming up with the names for the hybrid mana symbols. Woo is my favorite, with Wig being a close second for the plentiful "wigging out" references that can be made. It makes me want a card that costs W/U B/R G/R so that we can call it Woo Burger. Does anyone know which episode contained Gavin's famous math error? I'd like to look that one up.

I didn't know how much you guys read before, but from the sounds of it its' way more then we all thought.
I thought I'd chime in and mention something about game design as it was mentioned in the show. You guys were talking about how insightful Mark Rosewater is and how well he knows how to keep the game interesting. I agree that he is pretty knowledgeable and is probably the best person to read for game design at the moment, however Rosewater (as far as I can tell) is only really working on one game at the moment with minor dables in others. I stopped reading his stuff a while ago because of this. I decided it better that I should only take in the basics of what he offers and not all of it as set in stone, this way I could evolve my own game ideas through trail and error without being constrained to a predetermined template.
That goes for allot of things too, like writing, painting, basketball, football, ect.
My favorite moment was from MTGCast #90: "MTGO III release paused. Again.", because I got to chat on Talkshoe during the show and it was a lot of fun. And then of course, Tom had a combo that involved making copies of the legendary Gleemax.
There were a ton of great moments in MTGCast history... I've been actively listening to them since the mid-20's or so. I think one of the most memorable moments for me however were when we had Tom, Dom, Gavin and the special Guest Dom (Bateleur) also from the UK... anyway, Gavin thought it would be an awesome idea to start talking in a British accent. It was the worst. It made me laugh and cry and hate life all in one. Such a ridiculous show.
Also, the back to back coverage of Worlds was an amazing feat for the Cast. Dom in 2006 and Tom in 2007... good job on such a great run, guys!
Is the title of this weeks show supposed to be "We WG out for our own Shadowmoor preview card!"... and to shed some light on all of the commons I sent along with the MPR cards, I just wanted some filler in the deck box so the promos would have less of a chance of being damaged during shipping. I wish I would have sent a brick of promos now though.
Great show, hope to be able to listen in on the live one next week.
I had listen to some of your first podcast along time ago, but was not interested. When you guys covered the Cube is when I became hook.
I have slowly listening to older podcast, but some will not play for me.
Anyways later.

best moment= gavin is bad at.....no wait.....or is it....ummm...math!....or was that history.....
and i don't know if anyone ever noted it, but he was doing exponents instead of basic mutliplication.
sidenote: 5:15 isn't monday night magic, it's more like "monday exact time when i'm busy magic". now, i can understand if that is for dom, but otherwise many people will be busy or have no access at that time.
My favourite episode must be the last one, altough the first episode I ever listened (propably episode 70) must also be mentioned. Unfortunately I do not have the time to upload all the old episodes and listen. Maybe somebady could do a greatest hits compilation for us busybodies.
As for the Warhamster Mox the card has a real Magic-back, but it's drawn on a peeled foil with black sharpie. The card first appeared on The Dorktower around spring of 2005, while the game of Warhamster: the Gathering is much older. Warhamster Mox is the rarest card on the whole Warhamster CCG.
As far as I can tell, this was the first ever version of the card drawn on cardboard, but John Kovalics thought that the idea was a good one, so maybe he has drawn more in betwen of drawing on blank Munchkin cards.
So if you want one, just find some convention he's attending, go talk to him and ask him to draw you some Warhamster cards. He is an old MtG-player (alpha and beta old), so he can come up with some rather silly ideas. Just don't ask for too many Warhamster Moxes, since those are supposed to be really really rare.
I hope this clears up some questions and no, I'm not trading that one away.
And for Gavin and Derek on Fulminator Mage. There's still an old gem named Orcish Settlers, while not: sac FOO, destroy target land, but sometimes much better and with one of the greatest arts ever.
The last episode with the naming of the hybrid mana symbols is a little fresh for me to place amongst my all time favorites but I think it will stay in there.
When I think back over all the shows for a great moment, the first thing that comes to mind is Gavin's British accent. I don't know what you guys are talking about it being terrible -- it was awesome!
I also want to mention the first episode I ever listened to -- Dom's interview with Rosewater. Before that one, I would see the show links on mtgsalvation but I was like "why would I want to listen to three guys I've never heard of talk about Magic?" but that show snookered me in and I've been listening to the regular shows ever since. Also, back then I was a rumor mill junkie but you guys have made me lazy -- now I mostly just wait and listen to the podcast rather than wade through the posts myself. All the other interviews have been great (though my favorite Magic-related interview of all time is Richard Hagon interviewing Jim Murray -- has anyone else heard this? It's so awesome).
I guess I should stop but I could go on:
* Tom and Dom making fun of people on the DCI banned list as well as Randy Buehler for throwing stuff
* The addition of the show notes which revolutionized the way I listen to the cast
* The addition of the comment contest which has made reading the comments an essential part of the cast.
* The Ahoy segments -- it was interesting to hear Gavin's assessment on the brokenness of whichever card Tom would pick out. Can we get a little bit of the theme song back for episode 100?
I just wanted to ask which of the three Tom, Gavin, or Derek is the one who constantly has birds chirping in the background, Which made me want to follow up with.
A. do you work in a pet shop
B. do you do this outside (which in my opinion would be awesome)
Looking forward to Ep. 100! I hope your preview card hasn't already been spoiled.

I think Gavin has a bird, sometimes when he chirps at the right moment then Tom will make a reference to the bird agreeing with whatever was just said.
It's hard for me to pick a favorite moment because the show is usually entertaining and fun, so I get some good laughs out of every episode. It never got old when Dom would sigh as Tribal Time with Tom started up (I enjoy TTwT, but still, it was funny). I miss Dom's sighs!

Although I haven't been listening for that long, my favorite part has to be hearing Gavin trying to do the math codeword. I literally couldn't stop laughing even though I felt like I shouldn't.
I just hope that the preview card you guys get hasn't been spoiled already. That would really suck if you open it up only to find it actually was the Savor the Moment that was already discussed on the boards. But with over 2/3 of the set spoiled, it is very likely it will happen.
