Well that was just silly... I read this post yesterday afternoon (less than 24 hours), and now I had to sit down and read through more than 8 pages of posts just to see if anything important was said. LOL.:D
I am just wondering... is the ***** measuring contest over yet?
I personally think that the WPLs should just "hand of God" anyone who abuses turn 1-2 kills, and make them start over as a blue mage.
/end rant

Yeah... RED IS BROKEN, GUYS!!!
And honestly, I don't think that any vet, given a chance to start over, would not become a red mage...
That said, what happens when your character dies?

Hey kids! Don't like rules? Tired of having your lulz censored by terrible, terrible people called "moderators"? Big fan of metal? Check out Metaln☺☺☺☺! This is probably the worst possible forum to advertise it on!
Added bonus: we're holding a songwriting contest in march with a registry drive going on right now! Check it out, plus the opportunity to earn $50!
When your character is reduced to 0 health outside the arena ("killed" for all intents and purposes), what has been sort of decided is that the character falls unconscious and it is up to his/her teammate(s) to deal with the unconscious one as they see fit.
Now, that being said, there will be some quests that will have the permanent death feature on them, but those will be noted (at least mine will) with a disclaimer from the WPL in charge of the quest stating that, if a character dies on this quest, the death is permanent. As a side note, I already have one of these up, it is in Quen's Tavern, and it is for Level 3+ magi only.
Some WPLs are hesitant to kill off player characters. I have no such limitations. If I send something at a character, and the character reacts idiotically and dies, well, that's not my problem is it?
In such circumstances, if your character dies, the WPL in charge of the quest when your character died will remove your character profile from the Active Characters thread, and that player gets to make a new character.

Never forget: there's always someone bigger, better and stronger than you.
Someone once asked me why, when I talk about House Dimir, I don't put the word "the" in front of it.
At the time, I had no answer, but it just came to me.
Do we put the word "the" in front of God?

Is that the reason for the descriptions under your avatar?

And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.
Storm sort of "bypasses" the limitation on spells per turn.
As for Eye of the Storm, it sort of mimics the storm effect, so it does the same.
Mind's Desire . . . I don't know if we've considered it, yet. If you'd like, you can propose it on the thread . . .
Isochron Scepter requires a mana payment. Panoptic Mirror does not, but are specific to one use of their effects. They do count towards spells per turn.

They love and hate to see me walk through the door. I'm the man with the box, one to carry all his Standard cards with him. I've got the commons and uncommons they need. But I've also got my decks. If I walk into FNM, I came to play. And they never know what I'm gonna pull out of my hat next. I may lose more than I win, but it just might be THIS deck that has all the answers that they don't have answers for. They fear the unknown. They fear me. And they never see me coming!

Why doesn't Dimir exist? In the story it is a shadowy guild that is hard to get into and very mysterious but it exists. I really wanted to join Dimir so this kind of ticks me off. I think it "shouldn't exist" in so far as there is no guildhall or known guildmaster, but you should be able to join it when a black mage or blue mage reaches lv. 3.
I suspect by doesn't exist is formally you don't know about them other than legends but they sure as hell know about you.
I agree. If you want to be Dimir, I suggest you OOC petition the WPLs. If they accept you, you can be "recruited" by them. Of course, any IC promoting of the guild will get you quickly assassinated.

There is no House Dimir. It is not cunningly concealed among the apparently carefree Houses and Guilds of Estark. No one would suggest that its members have an agenda within and beyond the city. Nor would anyone believe, should it be whispered, that House Dimir collects vast sums of money and favors in order to further goals that this nonexistent group doesn't have. Moreover, an organization that does not exist certainly cannot have the means to collect intelligence on every mage who lives within areas that it certainly does not roam.

I do have a valid question, though:
-Abilities that play copies of spells, such as Panoptic Mirror, Isochron Scepter (once someone gets the only existing one) , Eye of the Storm, and Mind's Desire- how do they work with the 3 spell limit?
Please tell me Mind's Desire is banned, banned, banned.
