Since the correct names revealed for the Conflux Art Poster at Worlds confirm that Meglonoth, the one name not on the Conflux card list, is indeed not a Conflux card, do you think it could be a name of an upcoming card in Alara Reborn?
this goes back to me and a few others saying that those spoiled card names were from a Japanese site, and a few were probably mistranslated. I think one of the cardnames we can see at the card name spoiler is replaced by Meglonoth.

EDIT: i misread. i think it could be in Alara Reborn, but it's more likely that another card was improperly translated.

I don't buy this argument. The list also contained the complete Shards list before it was completely spoiled and it was 100% accurate. So far everything matches the Conflux list perfectly.
Additionally, Meglonoth is not a real word and would be written phonetically in Japanese making a "mistranslation" something fairly easy to spot on the list. There's nothing on the list to suggest this.
I don't know if they would just put a blatantly fake name on the poster, I imagine they go through some kind of process to ensure that names are not copyrighted already, but the name makes me think they were winking at those of us who have read the Conflux card list.
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.
Paleoloth Is on the Cardlist, However. as some people said above, there is posibility that it could have been mis-translated.
There is the entire Possibility that Paleoloth IS the Wrong name and it is meant to be Meglonoth. both sound suspiciously like some sort of primeval dinosaur type creature, so they will both be a "Beast".
I'm sure that there is a basic confusion between the two, and that Meglonoth is the Official name for whatever the creature Paleoloth is.

The mistranslation argument is not valid. How would this word be mistranslated? Paleoloth was listed as パレオロス on the list, it's just a phonetic spelling (pareorosu). There's no confusion as it being Megnoloth, which would be メグロノス. There's no way in either English or Japanese one can mistype one for the other.
The Shards list was 100% and everything confirmed thus far is 100%. When that poster was made the name Megnoloth was intentionally put there, and my question is why? Future card or a fake (or maybe better put as a red herring, per NightfallGemini).

The list may have had the entire correct shards list, but that list must have been final (as in, all stages of the design & development were complete). The meglonoth name may haven't been finalized.
Or guys, this could have been another stupid mistake on Wizard's part. They could have lifted the name from any number of other lists- hell, Megaloth could be a scraped creature name from Alpha.
Or, it could be an effort on wizard's part to discredit the list without acknowladging it.

By the way, does anyone still have the cached version of the list? Google's doesn't seem to exist anymore. I was thinking how we all thought "Conflux" appearing as a card name was, and I wondered if maybe the guy got his fields mixed up and entered the set name instead of the card name, and I wanted to check if the Japanese matched up with it (well, I don't know Japanese, but...). It's an unlikely explanation, but does anyone have it?

Nope conflux is a card in the set. That's certain. Rich Hagon's article on Star City confirms it.

Are you saying that the Shards of Alara cards on the list were final, but the Conflux names may not have been? I don't believe that. When the list was initially put up, there was an insightful post in the [CON] Complete Conflux Card List (Names) thread by pandafarmer, stating that at the time Shards was released, Conflux was at the printers and Alara Rebron was in the final stages (thus why it can take 2 sets for sollutions/answers to appear)
Or guys, this could have been another stupid mistake on Wizard's part. They could have lifted the name from any number of other lists- hell, Megaloth could be a scraped creature name from Alpha.
I doubt they would produce promotional material and not catch such a glaring mistake, but it is possible it is also an older abandoned name/card. If that is the case it may be just waiting for a set to reappear in. Perhaps that means it's Meglonoth's time for Alara Reborn, since it would be strange to put the name out there and the print it in another block.
Or, it could be an effort on wizard's part to discredit the list without acknowldging it.
I don't think they'd try to discredit the list, per se, with such little time left before the release, but I do think Meglonoth was intentially put there for those of us who have been spoiled. Perhaps it's just something to keep us occupied. After all, their "big surprise" of Nicol Bolas was let out of the bag with all the other names, so now teases can only be artwork and the mysterious Meglonoth.
It was a red herring.
The fact that AaFo tried to say the last art was for that name proves it.
Wizards knows people have the list, and that was a way to stick it to them I guess. It isn't a big conspiracy or anything really.

It is possible that there was a mistranscribtion at any point in the process of getting the conflux list.
