What will happen to clans who haven't got their games finished? Will the clan who tried to make contact but didn't get any replies be able to get the win if they can demonstrate that they've tried?
Ok, that closes out Clan Contest 3 for 2009, concluding the deck auction and the tournament that followed it. I will tabulate the results and get those posted soon.
@Magus of the Sheep: In the interests of concluding what has become quite a long contest, no. There will be no points awarded for attempting to contact the other clans. That is simply too large of a can of worms to open though I understand your frustration and appreciate your attempts. I think you will find that plenty of clans had trouble completing matches and getting games set up (if an initial glance at my PMs in my inbox is any indication). After looking at the final results, if any of the clans feel that they were mistreated or seriously ignored (significantly more than other clans) then they are free to make their case to one of the clan moderators. I'm of the opinion that this was simply a lot more work to do than anyone anticipated and that everyone had trouble setting up games and contacting people.

Congrats to Mono-U and all who played! Good gaming and a tight finish! Listed are the points earned for their matches and below that is a detailed list of the matches in which those points were earned. (so if it says "(vsClanX)3" that means three points were won in a match against clan x.) Even though there were four clans that did not play any matches, they should still be counted as participating as they did do the deck auction section, which was itself a substantial portion of the contest. Now, a final note about the matches: if you disagree with the results above, you are free to note that here. However, please be aware that the only sources I will accept are Pm's I have already recieved since there has been plenty of time to get those results in. You are welcome to point out any clerical errors I may have made (though I did double check), but the time to tell me about match results has passed.
Congrats to Clan Mono-blue for soldiering through and winning what was (through no fault of the organizers) the most awkward Clan Contest in recent memory.
Given how many times I checked the numbers I don't know how that happened. Oh, well.
I think the auction went quite well, and as for the games played, I suppose it is surprising how few were played of the possible amount. Next time there's a clan contest, there will be brackets and none of this round robin crap. Make the games happen or losses are awarded. Not that I blame people for not being able to set up the games, not at all.
Hey, all right! Thank you everyone on behalf of Clan Mono Blue! This was a splendid contest for the most part, and I certainly enjoyed being a part of it and playing all of you that I did.
I agree that round-robin is probably not the wisest format
Thank you very much wamyc for keeping charge of this entire contest!!!
It was stasis lockdown the whole time! You bastards!
Anyway, that's plenty of time to register notes of disagreement about the results. Thanks again to everybody for your input, help, and participation. Especially cool was the fact that I really got a PM from both the winner and the loser on, I think, every match.
So get your clan reps into the clan council for the next contest, which looks to be a scavenger hunt. Feel free to continue to comment, but I imagine this thread will be locked and retired soon.

A simple arithmetic error, wamyc old chum.

And yeah, I would much rather hand out a buy to the next round to a random clan than have round robin again.
