It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came and the grasshopper died and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?
is this the same as counter target spell except removing from the grave (same circumstances are required). If yes, i guess this is okay. Don't know how great this is depends on how many decks play that fast
Edit: okay see how good this is. silly me just thinkin bout standard

Because she's the hero standard deserves, but not the one it needs right now... and so we'll chase her... because she can take it... because she's not a hero... she's a silent guardian
Wow so Wizards thinks Storm based decks have become a problem in older formats... This is essentially a 3 of in any deck in a format that fears the storm mechanic. My question is what happens if this is used while an infinite, or arbitrarily large, number of spells are on the stack?

No such thing as infinity. You build storm count up to seven hundred quintillion and play Tendrils? Cool. I choose "seven hundred quintillion and one" target spells.
Maybe this reality is actually an alternate reality of a reality in which New Phyrexia was the joke expansion and Mirrodin Pure was the obvious expansion, except our reality is the Time Shifted reality which is opposite of that other reality which is that actual reality.
Geez... still havent started official previews yeat and it feels like Nissa is the only mythic left unspoiled already.
A mythic counterspell? Seems dumb. I don't care how good/not good it is, this seems to me like a utility card at mythic... like what Wizards promised not to do...
It's not a triggered ability, it's a condition. It uses "cast" because that's the past-tense of the verb.
It's absurd. You have to acknowledge we will never get Dissipate again, what with Cancel being the standard for countermagic, and it happens to hose Cascade (even if you do pay the 4 mana for it).
I like how this answers Great Stable Stag (obviously not a turn 3 one but one played later in the game) and other uncounterable spells since it exiles them. Also something is really appealing about the use of the term "exile" here. Just seems to flow well. Anyway this is clearly one of those cards made with older competitive formats in mind. Nice.

Level 1 Judge. I tweet. Member of clan <Limited>. The Dunning-Kruger effect.
I love the desing of it on all fronts.
these might be an auto 4of main deck for every deck in vintage

And it can counter cards that "cannot be countered" as a bonus.
I like it. A lot.
Yes, it does.
maybe im just dumb, but how is there more then one spell to exile when you play this card?
a free counter is good though. Real good.
doesnt seem like it should be mythic though.

Yes, it does that as well. AAAAAGH it's really good, people. Don't discount it as a crappy 4-mana Cancel!
Oh man, I think it does.
I hope that this is a cycle and I hope that the Black one is also a method of killing that thing.
