When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
soratami cloudskater: splashable, evasive two drop that turns all your lands into horizon canopy lategame. have you tried this guy out? hotshot suggested it for pauper in lanxal's thread but it actually seems pretty solid for a rare cube supporting tempo. have you tested this guy?

I love foreign foils way more than I should. I have been slowly building up a collection of cubable foreign foils. The Opposition is one of the cooler cards I've picked up lately.

Very interesting card. I would definitely be up for testing this card out. I'll have to see if I can track down a copy. Nice tech!
Cube lists aren't getting nearly enough attention. I hate that my threads keep dropping off just because discussion has all but died in both of them. I don't believe that's for lack of things to talk about.
I would guess people are getting distracted by the two rankings projects going on at the moment, are reading/posting in the new threads that've come up AND it's around christmas/new year, so people haven't been on as much due to other commitments ^^ I'd guess it's nothing to worry about.
How often do you use Pestermite to untap something? It's been in my cube for a while, and I'm always tapping, never untapping. Am I doing it wrong?
I crossposted something to the official cube community thread.
I often use Pestermite for the blowout blocker untap. He's also fantastic if you need to flash multiple guys in one turn and your'e short on lands. That makes him essentially a 2-drop which is nice.
Fair enough. My most common play with pestermite is to tap down an opponents land on their upkeep, or tap down an attacker. It never occured to me to untap my own creature to give is pseudo vigilance. Niiiice.
If you want a really tech play, tap down your opponent's Winter Orb on his end step. It's even better if you just have the full blown tempo deck with Opposition and Winter Orb along with all the good, cheap blue beaters and Pestermite. So much synergy.
Thought we were going to get some changes, might give me something to post about.;)
Hehe, okay fair is fair. I decided not to move forward with the changes just because we're so close to the next set release. I honestly don't believe the new set will change my mind on what I'm cutting, but depending on how many new cards need to come in, it might change the additions.
I want some more blue creatures for my list and as you run so many, I thought I might as well ask you which are the best
This is a rough order, but hopefully will paint a picture of how I value these guys:
Kira, Great Glass-Spinner
Pestermite
Mistblade Shinobi
Wake Thrasher
Vexing Sphinx
Horizon Drake
Kira and Pestermite are so good that even if you're no into the whole blue tempo thing, they are good enough creatures on their own to merit inclusion. I don't run snapper because I think it's important that the tempo creatures be able to wear equipment, it's also rough that he doesn't have evasion which is also extremely important. It's probably also worth mentioning that there are an insane number of 3 drops fighting for spots. Snapper is in my on deck binder, but he's got some stiff competition at the top.
It does, thank you. I'm still not willing to go far into that blue tempo thing, but I think I can dedicate two to four more spots. Glad to see you rank Pestermite that high, I love that card (so much so that I don't trust myself much evaluating it).
Seeing all the supporting cheers Kira gets makes it an easy inclusion over Calcite Snapper (it is really too defensive a card in many situations because of no evasion and only one toughness).

Personally, I think Kira belongs in every cube list. She's a complete game-changer.
I love Kira. There are times when my opponent has static targeting ability that can nullify her, but those times are few and far between. Most of the time she makes my opponent use up two removal spells on my 2/2 flyer, which is absolutely awesome for me. Especially if he's not already holding two removal spells, then Kira just gives all my guys shroud.
Is Spellstutter Sprite actually good? And if so, can you give me some examples of spells it counters on a regular basis as well as how often it is just a 1/1 flash/flying for two. With the new FNM promo coming out and my desire to add blue tempo/aggro to my cube this information would be of great value
Coralhelm is a recent addition but he has proven to be a nice beater in the few matches he's been in. I can see him being good in cubes not pushing the tempo strategy as being a mini control finisher you don't need to tie up late game resources in making him big. Bouncer is a great 'tricks' creature. He's good in a variety of decks and has a lot of interesting applications. He can be a discard enabler in reanimation strategies, a bouncer for when you have a blink/'Lark deck, helps clear the way for your aggro decks, and protects you in your control decks. A very solid addition and I am glad to have him in the list.

From a post of mine a few months ago:
Sprite has a number of useful applications. For one, he is a 1/1 with flash. That can be extremely important for those turns you have an active piece of equipment out like Jitte or SoFI, and your opponent taps out without answering the equipment. Those plays happen a quite often. His second application as a counterspell is actually a lot more useful than you’d think. Nabbing Top, Brainstorm, Duress, Innocent Blood, StP, and in the case of powered cubes, Moxen and cards like Ancestral Recall, makes him incredibly versatile. Believe it or not there are actually times when he counters two and even three mana spells thanks to Glen Elendra, Faerie Conclave, Mutavault, Clique, and Pestermite. I would probably rate Sprite as my second favorite two-drop in blue just slightly under Looter il-Kor who, just like Sprite, just so happens to be great with ninjitsu, another strategy which I believe is crucial to supporting blue-tempo.
I finally decided to buckle down and order the last few cards I need to finish pimping this list. As soon as these last few orders come in, it'll be 100% pimped
I think I might have a problem...
Oops. This was supposed to be posted in the artifact cube thread. This list has been pimped for a loooong time (even moreso than what's in the OP).
"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean - neither more nor less." -Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking Glass
i like it because it's just a well costed, useful effect. it taps blockers and attackers and hits for 2 evasively. the flash makes it really flexible and it's splashable.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
And it taps and untaps any permanent, so you can attack mana as well as deny them the ability to tap down your protection creature for a turn with Icy Manipulator or having it neutered with Maze of Ith. On your side you can double on such effects or play the faerie for 2 mana.

It's been a while! I made some pretty big updates with the addition of Mirrodin Besieged, but I just haven't had time to hit the forums lately. These updates were built to help very specific archetypes. I am really trying to push blink and tokens / Anthem aggro (c) as archetypes and push out traditional mid-range strategies and curve toppers in those colors. I'll keep this up for a bit before updating the OP.
Really not sure I like the Calciderm and Pouncing Jaguar cuts. Calciderm is just a beating and trades with a lot of creatures at higher costs. Viridian Emissary just doesn't seem like something green needs when it already has other great ramp on sticks.
Also, the Marsh Flitter and Sadistic Hypnotist adds seem like low picks due to their costs. Flitter acts as a pseudo Spectral Procession, yes? Hypnotist just seems expensive - if it was just 2BB, I'd be more inclined to like it.
Can't comment much about the multicolor changes, since you don't keep them balanced. I really like Putrid Leech.
Are the Eldrazi really ever casted? It seems like something that can be Tinkered (like Darksteel/Blightsteel Colossus) is a better ramp target in colorless, and I would tend not to run those because they can't really be reanimated.
seconded.

I really like 7th edition foils just because they're so different and rare. That's why I got that version.
Very interesting card. I would definitely be up for testing this card out. I'll have to see if I can track down a copy. Nice tech!

For two mana creatures, what is your view on Coralhelm Commander vs. Waterfront Bouncer?

i love coralhelm, but waterfront bouncer is splashable and has more uses outside of tempo so i would probably give him the nod, there.
