@Shibby, interesting decklist. I don't think adding contested warzone is a good idea, however, even as a 1 of. Personally, I preffer having 3 dark tut main board (i think this is a must if your meta is somewhat conotrol heavy). Other than that, I pretty much agree with all of you choices, here is what I'm running:
@ Mage
i play in a semi Aggro heavy Meta so Tutelage isnt terribly useful for me, but i still find it plenty often as a 2of. Contested Warzone is almost in a Spell slot, and the deck ran perfect off 22 Lands beforehand. its just nice for that last little Extra push if you stall out against something that needs to see you being the hard Aggressor, but its still only a testing slot. i may just drop it down to 22 again or throw in another Swamp. ive also had insane luck with the deck as a whole recently, and the list hasnt changed too often, ive Top 8'd the last 9 Tournaments ive played in, each with a pretty competitive field of at least 30+.

I really like the deck, but I agree that we cannot afford to play contested warzone. It seems like a really strong card (my friend with a quest deck makes great use of it) but I don't think vampires can afford non-black mana sources.
yeah like i said, Warzone is just a test piece atm. im going to test a bunch at FNM tomorrow and make my decision then. its probably going to come out for a Swamp or a 4th Lavaclaw.

So, I'm curious as to the fate of Mark of Mutiny. Back in the day it was included in most mainboards, and some time later it was relegated to sideboard tech. Now I don't see it run in many sideboards anymore either. Is this simply because Mark + Seer is a clunky way to remove something now that we have Go For the Throat, and Mark is far too situational, even against Ramp/Eldrazi?
I currently have no Nighthawks in my sideboard, and I'm thinking about swapping out my Marks for them. What is the general consensus on Mark these days?

I prefer Nighthawk. Mark is ok but with the DoDG plan it isn't really even necessary. And even if Valakut is that widely played, devoting that many cards just to the Valakut matchup is overkill. It really doesn't help any other matchups so either go with Demon's or Mark's I say.
i find 22 land to be sufficient...and i have hated on captivating vampire in the past but lately i have played him and really like the extra 3-5 i get from his +1 even if he only sticks for a turn...or even if he just eats a bolt that saves my highborn for a turn...i like him better than hexmage in that spot at this time...i do side him out first most of the time unless i roll game 1...but lately i have had lots of success with this build...
Mono Black beatdown. Caps are great in this deck, if you run into a wall (pun intended) hold off on attacking and amass enough guys to take control of the game. This is a viable strategy vs. G/W Eldrazi should things go badly.

I am really impressed with the results of hexmage mainboard. I need to buy fetches but don't play lavaclaw because in testing it would only slow the deck down. I'm reconsidering and might run 2.
The sideboard has undergone some changes to reflect my local meta. Hexmage is absolutely necessary to get rid of Gideon. Shatter is also a must in the new meta filled with Tumble Magnets, 5/5 tezzerated dudes, Swords, and Contagion Clasp. And Demon is no longer tech usually being met with either Plummet or Magnet...

I noticed how many cheap efficient red creatures and damage spells there were in standard and how many cheap efficient black creatures (mostly vamps) and removal spells black had to offer. I thought the combination would be powerful so I threw this decklist together.
Any Suggestions???
Black
4 Vampire Lacerator (One of the best one drop creatures)
4 Pulse Tracker (Good early drop)
1 Guul Draaz Spector (Late game card advantage)
4 Duress (Remove early threats pre-ememptively)
4 Inquisition of Kozilek (Remove threats pre-emptively)
3 Go for The Throat
3 Doom Blade
Red
4 Goblin Guide (One of the best one drop creatures)
4 Kiln Fiend (With so many sorceries and instants to clear blockers
4 Lightning Bolt and discard threats he can have fun!)
3 Arc Trail
Planeswalker (Late Game against Control)
2 Koth of the Hammer
Land (Possibly some fetches too)
4 lavaclaw Reaches (Immune to sweepers, good against Control)
8 Mountains
8 Swamps
Thank you for any input you can offer. For sideboard I think Brittle Effigy, maybe darksteel plates, bonehoards?)

Hmm, I see most of the lists posted here have dropped Bloodthrone Vampire. I really liked the tech of Mark of Mutiny and Bloodghast with the Bloodthrone Vamp and Viscera Seer to take care of problem creatures and also to force the opponent into some difficult blocking decisions.
I've been thinking of testing out a grixis list , what do you all think?
The mana base would be too clunky I think and I don't really see an advantage to it.
@Murdox
I still run Seer as a 4 of because I think drawing him is very important, but other's have dropped him to a 3-of because you don't usually want more than 1. Bloodthorne just isn't nearly as good, the one mana more is a big difference, he doesn't beat down that effectively since eating your Bloodghast loses you an attack to get the pump and there just isn't room in the deck. Plus Mark of Mutiny is not mainboarded in my list or many others and it's down to a 1 of in my SB anyway
yes. but it hurts the deck TREMENDOUSLY to not run her. Kalastria Highborn is one of the key engines to this deck, theres have been some lists that dont run her. but they arent terribly awesome. the only one that did reasonably was the Blue Black Vamps from PT Paris.

I've been thinking the same thing to be honest. The mana base wouldn't be so terrible. What are you thinking of playing blue for? I'm looking at Unified Will, Mana Leak, and Shared Discovery. Maybe even Thada Adel, Acquisitor out of the SB to fight all the tasty equipment seeing play atm.
dude exactly the same stuff , plus since we wouldnt be forcing the sacrafice kalestria staragey so hard we could play preordain and mabey a one of SoFaF.
"...And Demon is no longer tech usually being met with either Plummet or Magnet...
My DoDG package also brings in Duress to help deal with Plummet, Tumble Magnet, and Go For The Throat. This often puts the Demon as a turn 3 play instead of turn 2, but still seems to be pretty effective.
