My playgroup has a pretty heavy concentration of aggro decks, hence the Necropede. I really want to fit Invigorate and/or Mutagenic Growth into this deck, but I'm pressed for space. Rancor and Might of Oaks are both too good to pass up as pumps, and Vines of Vastwood has been pretty crucial the few times I needed targeted protection... any suggestions?
Thanks! I looked over your list. From my experience with my playgroup, Phyrexian Crusader is your savior when you're playing against burn. You're still on a tight clock but your chances of winning does increase dramatically. Give it a shot if you will!
I made some modifications and decided to go along with your suggestion and sub out the Oaks while keeping 4x Vines. Here's how it looks now:
I ran a few solo tests on MWS and the landbase seems decent enough to fulfill the Forest requirement for Invigorate whenever I drew it. Having too many Inkmoths can clog up the manabase, but it's still a manland that's immune from sorcery-speed removal and it was pretty good whenever I got to play it, so I left two in.
