These are going to be (really) oversized promos, as seen here.
oh damn...there goes my hope. I was hoping they would add a few more copies of force of will to the market because not having them is the only reason I don't play legacy. I only play control btw.

In life all we can do is try to make things better. Sitting lost in old ways and fearing change only makes us outdated and ignorant.
Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding.
Albert Einstein
Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity.
I've got to say these cards look great. The Time Walk is epic. Looking at it reminds me of why children everywhere want to grow up to be astronauts. That's literally the only description that I can describe the beaut of the card in front of me.
Force of Will's new art is awesome, but the problem with announcing right next to Time Walk is the comparison that I'm just not going to resist. I give it an A- as oppose to how I would describe Time Walk, which is to come back when I know how to scale Divide by 0; it's just that good.
But don't let that fool you that Force of Will is bad in any way; this is the an improvement over the old art. For one, the guy in the old art is putting way too much effort into what he's doing, making him indeed look like the art was suppose to be on a red card. This new art shows the common theme of counterspells, "Look at how effortless it was to crush your ace spell." The caster shows the blue-based mentality of reaching a point balancing calm and concentration, deflecting a rage of fire, which produces the sharp contrast of the calm defeating the aggressive often found in counterspells as well. It's what I expect from a the art of a counterspell. The A- though comes from the fact that it just doesn't come across as a brave new interpretation of Force of Will; it meets my expectations but doesn't surpass them.
It looks even better on a render. This seriously needs to be printed somewhere.
Looking at this, the sad thing that I realize is that since I don't play Legacy or Vintage, this is probably the closest I'll ever come to seeing these cards.
Damn another one bites the dust. Oh well i figured time walk would not be a real card its reserved and cant be printed, but in posterized card form. What the hell was stopping wizards from printing force as an actual card? Not one damn thing! Its not like this is gonna drive the price of a force down? It is for the top prizes at 2011 championships right?
Both artworks seem kinda plain. Maybe that was done on purpose for time walk, because it looks awesome. The FoW one though..I dunno. It's pretty, but that's really it.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
So all you get for winning the entire Legacy Tournament is a useless picture of a card.
Whereas second place gets revised duels. That's stupid.
Dealers will pay ridiculous amounts of money for that trophy, which could then result in the purchase of some dual lands if you really wanted them that badly. Also got bored and mocked these up in better quality.
Agreed. The Force is underwhelming. I like the look of gritty determination visible in the guy's body language and face in the original art -- in the Champs art, it doesn't look like she's even trying very hard. "Oh, a fireball... meh. *Fwoosh* Begone!" Looks like plain old Counterspell to me.
Time Walk is very cool, no doubt, but there will only ever be one "best" art for that card for me personally.
This. Personally I don't really find any of the new art particularly intersting. A photo-realistic revamp of the original Time Walk art would've been better imo.

Hey, lolis with katanas are awesome, and I don't care about their home country.
I think the Time Walk art is amazing, really really amazing. The FoW art isn't bad, but it doesn't really capture the flavor to me. The original art really got the point across that this dude wasn't stopping you with mana, he just raged so hard it stopped your spell.
While the promo art for FoW gives us some hope that we might see a reprint some day (not holding my breath), I can't say I care for either card in the modern frame. I'd rather see them old-school, like Time Walk is meant to be.
Personally, I think FoW looks even better in the ABU frames.

May your games be chaotic and your decks be Rogue.
Hey, I love Nielsen's art but the crouching guy with bones between his knuckles isn't even in her top ten. Stewart didn't have a tough act to follow, and it's a better painting than the original, no question.
Time Walk gets points for being iconic, and that's about it. Rahn's new version is simply on a different level.
I love both arts. The problem with showing the FoW art next to the Time Walk art, is that the Time Walk art is so inspiring.
First picture: OOOOOHHHH!
Second picture: Oh!
Both new arts are 10/10 in my book. They did they right thing with FoW in my opinion. It's still red for recognizeability, and the focus is still on the spell being diverted. The original had more of a rage-induced willpower thing (clenched fists) and this new one is more of spiritual willpower thing (the pose). I like the original a bit more because the thought of blue mages getting that angry is funny to me.

That! I couldn't figure out why I liked that scene so much.
They both look awesome. I really like that Time Walk art more than the original. Sorry, the skeletons with orange stuff on their torso and faces standing around some traffic cones in the night never really intrigued me...
Too bad these are just Championship promos though. I considered proxying up some Time Walks to be a jerk, but I think I'll use this art instead!
I know im in the minority but Amy Webers Time Walk is so much better. Her sureal highly stylized work often felt like the happenings of a world unseen by most. This is grand a pretty but its about as exciting as time reversal. I big cosmic fart. The old force was much better also.

uugh this time walk art and its awesomeness feels like a tripple backflip flying kick to the balls. We get a crappy card (time reversal) reprinted in m12, why couldnt we have a different gain a turn effect or time warp with this art? its so amazing and hardly anyone will ever have it. (i suppose that makes it more valueble and all that jazz, but for non vintage, non collecters players like me. sadface.) ohwell makes a pimpin wallpaper screen
Ember....nope, it's a "promo" in so far as you consider that a promo. It's not an actual Magic card, so I don't think it counts. (Does anyone know if these trophies have MtG backs?)
I absolutely love the Time Walk art, but the FoW art is just a mess. It's an absolute failure of composition, with the entire left half of the piece essentially being dead space, and once your eye reaches the wizard on the right, it just wants to leave because there is nothing interesting there either. I can see the artists intent, but the execution was poor.
If they reprinted a promo of these for a dollar tomorrow, I'd still but the original FoW. That art is just that bad.

Well, i have the time walk art as my new wallpaper, and i doubt i'm the only one so it definitely isn't going to waste. Also, if ftv: power became a reality those collectors you want to suck it would probably horde them up so that we couldn't get it anyways.

I don't think so. I know the Vintage community would actually flourish for once, but Wizards doesn't like supporting Eternal formats.

Force of Will is also good but Time Walk is simply epic.

That FOW art reminds me of Counterbalance, least in composition and colors.
