Make a commander for your race

Make a Team Name

I guess you can do this. I thought it would be better to have a topic for each team, but the admins might frown upon that, taking over their forum, almost and all. Hopefully they won't think that.
Edit: Didn't even realized I was on this team until after I post.
I hope they won't mind, as long as there is interest by 24 people why would they?
I guess the first thing to do is a check-in then a quick inventory of each race's goals so we can figure out we all have in common/want to achieve.
The Daesseclus really just want power and influence. Half of the races are aquatic and the other half are land based.
Personally I know that the Daesseclus would submit some of their number for improvement by the Xironaxi and give them some of their prisoners for the same purpose in exchange for help in world conquest. The Daesseclus also would trade secret taken from the minds of their hosts to the in exchange for the same. As for the aquatic races, I don't know what the connection is because all the other races we are fighting are on the surface. Do we want to take the surface from the surface dwellers? If that is the goal then the Daesseclus could get behind that with a sufficient number of "gift" hosts from the allies to survive in the newly aquatic world, or they could just have the Xironaxi edit their genes so that all Daesseclus are naturally aquatic.
Actually I think that destroying all land and making an endless ocean that our races will be the master of is a good common goal.
If thats where we go how about Team leviathan?

The Laminars are also naturally aquatic, but we can also go on land. We prefer to not stray far from the waters. To destroy all lands and make the world an endless ocean sounds like a really cool idea. With the Daesseclus, the other races will be able to survive.
Team Leviathan? Sounds alright. I'll get back to team names later.
Okay, I'll start mocking up a watermark... although I'm not an artist and not really sure how to do it but I'm going to try. I'm going with an aquatic theme, btw...

If our plan is to destroy all land, how about Team Land Death? Rolls off the tongue a bit better than Leviathan I think. Our symbol could be a piece of land that's crossed out (mostly just brainstorming).
Not sure how the Espions feel about killing all land. Their bodies are pretty resilient and flexible (morphs) and even the black Espions made of shadow could live under the sea if they had to, but destroying land means destroying relics and hidden ancient magics yet-undiscovered. As long as we mine the land of most of its resources first, though, the Espions couldn't care less about it.
Also, to help you understand my race better: the Espions go "solo" until going solo isn't a valid route to achieve their goals, at which point they team up with other Espions. And when that isn't an option (i.e. when there's a fate-deciding war on the plane and sides are being taken) the Espions will collectively team up with a group and consider everyone in that group an Espion. They value the secrecy of their information very high, but they value their lives even higher, because not only do they die, but their secrets die with them, which is why they would rather preserve themselves and share their secrets with someone than die and have that information (and their life) go to waste.
(i should probably add that^ and thatv to my post)
EDIT: And to be clear - the Espions place their life higher than their secrecy. They're mostly blue in life (desiring knowledge) while mostly black in death (putting their own life above everything else, even their goals). The Espions are calculating, and if they calculate that there is absolutely no chance of them surviving something, they're dying and bringing their secrets to the grave. It's only when there's something in it for them (in this case, living) that they'll share their intel.
Anyway, as we should all well know, the Xironaxi are only teamed up out of convenience and not to be happy and make friends. All others are still classified as 'imperfect', so that's just how it is.
And "Land Death"? How does that roll off the tongue? Besides, destroying land doesn't serve them er... the team for winning. Granted I am pretty sure that most of the races are able to adapt quite well, destruction of land would not make the races with in them happy and leaves the Xironaxi with little left to experiment...er...make perfect.
I would suggest something more viable, maybe something that has to do with the adaptability of our races.
I don't think anyone here really wants to be friends. This is the team composed of the antagonist, dare I say evil, races, lol. We've got mad scientists, living infections, deepsea hiveminds, sneaky spy-monsters, giant crabs and Ursula from the Little Mermaid (hopefully that didn't offend anyone...).
I dislike Land Death particularly since not everyone is behind my initial idea. We do need something to unite our races in a common purpose and it was the only reason I could think of for the three water-dwelling races to team up with other races for a conflict based almost entirely on the surface. Our purpose has to have soemthing to do with either the sea-dwellers wanting to dwell on the land or them wanting to expand their territory, we can't rely on other races to want to invade the sea, particularly since this team seems perfectly positioned to be the invaders.
As I've said before the Daesseclus just want power in any way that they can take it. They'd be willing to do pretty much anything to get it including but not limited to giving the Xironaxi their own people for experimentation.
Your point about green though it moot in the extreme. Two of the races with green are already underwater races while the other race (mine) is more than fine with destroying/flooding all land. The Daesseclus plan to keep what remains of the other races in sea-floor farms. It's kinda perfect when you think about it, even if they take over the farm where will they go? Of course the whole plan hinges on either the Daesseclus becoming aquatic on their own or the Xironaxi modifying them to be so.
If you oppose that simply on principle I'm sure we can come up with another option. Adaptability isn't much of a connection to be honest and seems a rather common thread particularly when we have such blatantly offensive races on our team. Both the Daesseclus and the Xironaxi enjoy experimentation and exploitation of other races while the Espion like spying on them. However the other three races are either savage and animalistic or have a savage animalistic side.
The names Land Death and Leviathan are both on the table right now. Personally, I don't like Land Death but Leviathan isn't much better since it doesn't really encapsulate the nature of the team whatever that turns out to be.

By Team Lore, does that mean how our "group" formed?
I don't feel like I have a good grasp of what the Caverna and the Laminar want. I can kinda see what the Lisans are going for, while the Xiro's and Daess' goals seem pretty clear.
EDIT: Laborer seems overcosted. Thorn-Thrash Viashino is less mana intensive and has a much more usable ability. You could cost it down to 1GU and maybe make it one counter to untap, or leave it at two if you want to be safe. Missing a rarity, but that isn't a big deal. Does your race have classes, i.e. Wizard or anything?
Fractus as printed won't work. Your opponent would have to gain control of him, attack with him, and give him back to you. Either have it trigger on opponent's upkeep or your end step. Attacking each turn is red, not G/ (there are 10 cards out of red with that text, and most of them are colorless (Dauthi Slayer/Urborg Drake are sole black creatures with that ability). Which would be fine, except there's nothing really B about this card.
Two of the races with green are already underwater races while the other race (mine) is more than fine with destroying/flooding all land.
Just pointing out that 'semi-aquatic' means a land animal that can live in water, like a frog or a beaver. Not underwater races. The Lisans are more land-based than water-based. Snake-like shapes aren't ideal for swimming.
Anyway, the Lisans don't really have an overarching goal of their race besides, er, living. We're a bit separated to fight as one, although I suppose a bit of war could motivate them to put aside their differences and try to work as one race. We still don't really have anything besides helping ourselves and being better than everyone else. The blue and green sides of that don't hurt others while doing so, but the black would.

Seems like a lot of the races want to become better/stronger... maybe we're all allied around the Xironaxi brining them other races to experiment on and refine their techniques before we allow them to improve our races. From the looks of the other discussion threads we're not seeing too much aggression so I think that we should at least thinking about being the team that starts the war.

I kind of like the more made up guild names, like Izzet and Jund. How about Lividus? Its latin for black and blue.
Actually, it's meaning is:
"livid| slate-colored; discolored by bruises; envious| spiteful"
But regardless, it sounds better than what the other two were.
And yay...you guys go kill, Xironaxi experiment to perfect things to win, and if the Xironaxi can't perfect it, then you can have it 'cuz they'll have no use for it. LOL
@Orchestra: Good idea. Who should be the one that wants to start the gathering of the team? Should we go the James Bond villain route and do the "turn the world into an ocean"?
Hey, Orchestra, you should put a collection of all of our cards on the front page. I think that would be a cool idea. Call it like the "Lividus Bestiary" and we can relate to it in flavor text. We'll also have an easy way to see past cards in case the previous threads die.
Took me a while to formulate your bestiary properly but its done! I'll put the most recent versions of the cards we've made in next.
As for the unifying team member I think that's a problem seeing as we have two races who view the others as inferior or just different (Daesseclus and Xironaxi), one race that is notoriously secretive (Espion), two races that are savage beasts (Laminar and Caverna) and one race that is fairly disjointed or pasifistic or xenophobic (Lisandarians). As team players go we aren't the most likely of candidates. Of course I volunteer the Daesseclus as unifier or, at least, the first race to contact at least one of the others about whatever goal we want to achieve.
I like both options currently on the table about equally. I'd be fine with either.

Yeah, the Espions wouldn't be the ones to be doing any of the unifying, since they aren't unified themselves. One of them would probably hear something like "the Daess or whoever unifies us (also, sorry for using shorthand, I'm lazy and will misspell your race's name anyways) are calling races to take over stuffz, join if you don't want to be eradicated", and that Espion would spread the word to other Espions, since preserving the lives of other Espions is also something that they value highly (they're kind of like a hive mind without actually being a hive mind).
Edit: You are now, sorry for the delay, I knew I was forgetting something, lol.
We should seriously get on this motivation thing though. I've been reading some of the other player's threads and it seems like the Legion wants to prevent some prophesized devastation. Should we be the devastation or leave it to someone else? I honestly like all the ideas we have now equally so we need some other votes upon the matter.

Edit: Didn't even realized I was on this team until after I post.

EDIT: And great...my Arch is TeeBeeDees.

You got 99 attackers but I'm blocking with 1.

LOL

Also, I'm not on your bestiary.
