I suppose we aren't going to get anyone else lynched, in any case, so mise well Vote: Armlx again. Actually, second thought, no. Unvote in case anyone wants discussion etc.
One thing that concerns me is Axelrod's glance towards the door. Could this mean sympathy with Dwight, or is Ax just longing to leave? And if so, why? Find out next time on... THIS OLD SIN CITY.
More seriously, though, I am sorta made suspicious of Axelrod by this new development, and I'd sorta like some kind of explanation if that's possible.

The mafia can talk during the day so they wouldn't do this.
I'm sorry if I missed this through speed reading or something but... uh... how do we know this?
5. Roles that are allowed to talk to one another at night may also talk during the day. Hopefully this will make nights pass more quickly (hint hint: try to conduct your discussions during the day as much as possible, to save time).
You've also seen an example of the in-thread, since the case against armlx is heavily dependent on what he told me early this game day about his watch on Hawkeye last night.

Well, no one's posted in a while, so I guess I might as well say what I think is on everyone's mind.
In my experience, there is a certain point in each day where the amount the town benefits from prolonging day begins to diminish. Should the day continue onward from there past a certain length, its extension will provide no real good to the town. I think we've hit that point.
We're tired. I know I speak for more than myself when I say that it's about time we end the day. We've analyzed about all we can analyze, and it seems to me that, from recent posts at least, we're trying so hard to find an alternative lynch candidate aside from armlx that some of us are turning to details so minute, or skipping over details so obvious, that we start to drive ourselves away further from the mafia.
Guys, c'mon. Let's end day. This is meant to be a game, but two more days of this would not be fun, and would do us no good.
There is NO RISK by NOT VIGGING someone tonight. Cripes. In case you hadn't noticed, we're not exactly doing great this game. Killing one person to try to "confirm" another is bad, bad, bad. Even if it "worked" (which it most likely wouldn't) then the "confirmed" person gets killed anyway and we've only managed to do half the mafia's work for them.
If we get desparate later, well, anything goes I suppose, but we've still got time. I really don't see the argument right now. I will concede, however, that I am perhaps not as up to speed on this whole game as I should be.

Not so much a colour as a piece of sporting equipment.
So wait, you're excessively awesome AND a postal worker?
FOS: RafaelK for just being that much cooler than I am.
Seriously though, your character is like the antithesis of a postal worker. I'm really hoping you're telling the truth, because if so, Azrael may have created the best role ever.
Once again, I see we're arguing about whether or not to use an Ancestral Recall. Now, my position has been stated enough, so I won't bore the vig any longer. However, I think that if this day has proven anything, it's what happens to us when we run out of information. We run around in circles going nowhere, and the odds of us finding the people we want fall.
The sheer amount of information we could gain either way, in addition to the potential killing of mafia, is enough of a reason to vig.
Quote from Axelrod »

Axelrod, let's for a brief moment ignore the whole issue of chamber/SorryGuy potentially being mafia, claiming a role that's virtually unlynchable. Let's also ignore the idea of us not having a vig later on in this desperate situation you speak of. It's not that those two details aren't significant, but let's just set them aside right now and concentrate on the most immediate problem:
Who, exactly, do we have as leads so far? We've got armlx, and, given the day's maple-syrup-in-Russian-winter speed of progression, no one else. Even our case against armlx is not exceptionally strong. Certain people have been FOSed, certain people have been voted, but one vote does not count as a case, and most of the votes have come from some of us trying so hard to find people to vote for that are not armlx that they've resorted to mostly speculation.
Now, you say that we should wait until some desperate situation. Every mafia experience I've had has told me that this is always a bad move. If the town waits until things have reached a crisis, then they're more than likely to lose, as they're at the mercy of people who know more than they do and are actively trying to kill them. If my playing style is a little more aggressive than you normally see, it's because I believe the town should do whatever it can to make sure it never becomes "desperate later".
If the vig were going to kill anyone the entire game, this is that time.
The sheer amount of information we could gain either way, in addition to the potential killing of mafia, is enough of a reason to vig.
Certainly, if they're lying, we gain a lot of information. And I think there's a fair possibility that they're lying.
But if they're telling the truth, what is the "sheer amount of information we could gain"? One cleared townie, and a FOS on you, Fayul, and the other pro-viggers?

Every single person on this thread has expressed a strong opinion, for or against, regarding the vigging. Regardless of how it goes, I believe finding out their identity will get us closer to the mafia.
Furthermore, we gain details regarding their role. Now, I don't know if you've been keeping count, but two pairs of masons have appeared. Masons are a very easy claim to fake. The more we know about mason groups, the better our ability is to see through false mason claims. Also, the presence and nature of neutral roles, perhaps the biggest mystery in this game, will come closer to being illuminated.
Highroller: thing is, we almost certainly won't learn ANYTHING from chamber or SG dying unless they turn out to be mafia rather than "neutral". If the vig kills chamber, say, and we learn he's "Neutral Mason" or "Neutral Brother" or whatever it is he is, that still doesn't tell us what SG's win condition and full ability is (and vice versa).
I've said that before and you've said your bit before and Axel has said his bit before and we're all repeating ourselves now. I think the day can end.
Although HR, I notice you didn't say anything about YOUR colour. Less cool than me or not

You guys are being very very far from discrete. You may as well claim your series now. If I have figured it out, everyone should have. Or at very least the Mafia should have.

Hmph. I think I was originally very discrete. I take no responsibility for other people feeling the need to elaborate.
Although chamber, I don't think we can take it as given (or even likely) that all the people from the "green" comic will be town. In all likelihood, the mafia know which comic it is anyway.

I agree the "green" comic wasn't descriptive, but highrollers color question, and your answer, made the comic overly obvious. If the mafia already know then why are we keeping it a secret?
Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'
I don't either. Although I also do not like Highroller pushing a lynch just as discussion of his role comes up and him just ignoring chamber's questions...=/. I really want something solid on HR to go on, but doubt to find something after last night...
Well let us hope that armlx is scum and that me and chamber both wake up tommorow morning.

"Ignoring chamber's questions"? chamber didn't ask me a single thing.
In regards to the green comic, I'd rather it be saved until tomorrow. I might not be Puzzle, but I've got a plan, and it might even be a cunning one.
Well, the last vote has been cast. Good luck everyone. Let's hope this works out for the better.

The girl's silhouette still leaned against the wall, a cloud of smoke swirling around it. Her audience still watched, enraptured, listening.
"After they chased Dwight out of the neighborhood, his tail between his legs, the town was out for blood. They were serious, this time."
The silhouette raised the cigarette to her lips, and drew on it deeply.
"It didn't take them long to pick Armlx out of the fold. A small, crafty, devious little man. Just the type they were looking for."
"He denied everything, of course. They always do. But when his friend asked him why he would find what he said he found, he couldn't answer. And neither could anyone else in the town."
"So they decided to kill him, of course."
She smiled a little bit, recalling it.
"Armlx was a wriggler. He tried to run, protesting his innocence till the very end, desperately, but it was no use. No mercy. He tried reaching into his coat pocket for something, but they were waiting for something like that, and they cuffed him and shut him up before he could reach whatever he was going for.
"Then they tied a rope to his neck, around the old chandelier in the reception hall. Then they hoisted him up to the ceiling. Nasty, slow, brutal way to do it. He didn't stop squirming for about an hour, until he finally suffocated. Even then he kept twitching for another fifteen minutes, before he went dead still."
"And then, his hand unfolded, and a crinkled up, bloody, chewed on note slipped out of his coat pocket, drifted gently through the air, and landed on the floor beneath him. Impossible to read, but real as the air you breathe."
"Ironic, isn't it? Killing him for not knowing the answer to a question that none of them knew. Just like a mob." She laughed dryly, mockingly, arrogantly.
"Maybe if they paid more attention to what each other did, instead of what they said, they would have had more luck."
"Because as they found out when they lowered his body, Armlx was just another honest working stiff, a postman, innocent as a babe."
"Five bodies in two days. Maybe six. And not a single scum to show for it. They had a lot to think about, that night. After all, the night is always darker than the day, and the day had already been very, very dark..."
Her voice trailed off.

Armlx was a townie mailman. Now he's a corpse. Night 3 has begun.
Dead: 1. DYH-Townie Lunatic/Roleblocker/Investigator. Slashed to ribbons on Day One.
2. Kenji-Townie Paranoid. Died of a sudden heart attack day one. (Modkill)
3. Puzzle- Neutral Pacifist. Lynched by the town day one.
4. Bateleur-Townie, the Doctor's Daugher. Throat slashed night two.
5. Hawkeye7-Townie Bodyguard. Sliced and diced by ninja stars day 2.
6 Armlx-Townie Mailman. Lynched by the town day 2.
MIA:
1. Dwight McCarthy-Townie Mod Persona. Chased out of town, shot, and possibly killed, day 2.
Day will begin Friday the 13th at 2:05 P.M. EST, or sooner.
You were expecting a dark night. Expect the worst, and you'll be pleasantly surprised when something better happens. That's what some people say.
Maybe there's some truth to that. Maybe not.
You stir yourself out of bed. Everything's still in one piece, somehow. That's a little bit of luck. You throw on a few clothes, and head towards the main hall.
Fifteen of you gather in the wan morning light, eyeing each other distrustfully. How many of you would gladly slit the throats of the rest? How long before its open war?
Time is running out, and the bodies are piling up. And with only fifteen of you here, it's time to see who the last two are. You run through the list:
You head for Sorryguy and Fayul's rooms, already expecting the worst.
But oddly enough, Fayul's room is empty. Doesn't even look slept in, to tell the truth. Since he's not around, you take the opportunity to pry around.
A single word, pain-stakingly carved into the wall.
"Vengeance."
A collection of fine-looking coats. No weapons. You move on to Sorryguy's room. And here you find something a little more interesting.
Fayul, sprawled unmoving on the floor. His blood spilled all over the room, from a cut throat. Sorryguy, lying next to him, very pale, with his throat crushed to a pulp. No obvious weapons to be found in this room, either.
An interesting puzzle...

You regroup in the main hall. The room is starting to look a little emptier. Eight dead townies. No dead mafia. Things are looking bleak.
You have to find some way to turn the tables. Uncover something, anything, that you might have missed or overlooked. Remember your old tricks. Get back in your rhythmn. Watch for the clues. Watch each other.
Time is running out. But you'll be damned if you let them walk all over you without a fight. It's not over yet.

Indeed.
As my last words to the town, trust no one. You are really down right now but you still have a chance. Good luck. Mislynch may very well be game at this point.
No. Well at least not that I know of. I got a pm saying we were attacked and that I was thrown agaisnt the wall and knocked out. When I awoke sorryguy was dead.
Presumably, Fayul tried to vig SorryGuy, but died in the process. Maybe SG fought back? Or did another killer intervene? That would at least explain why no one else died.
By the way, chamber, why did SG show up as Townie also? I thought you said your role was just "Neutral: Mason."

Overzealous vigilante with selection of fine coats seeking "Vengeance". In addition to being perhaps the worst classified add in the world, the above description fits Marv to a "T".
Alright, well in my opinion, chamber's confirmed. I still believe it was something that needed to be done, but I'll confess I'm rather shocked at the result. I was almost positive SorryGuy was mafia.
I assume Matjoeman will be coming to tell us what he's found.
What I don't understand is why the mafia decided to kill Fayul. Granted, this game has not made any sense so far, but that element especially so. I'm definitely going to have to proceed again with reading the game thread over again and seeing if I can make any sense of this.
In the meantime, I just want to recap here, and yes, there is a point to this. I want to know for certain now: How many other people here have claimed to be characters from a comic other than Sin City? I want to confirm it's not just myself and RafaelK.
By the way, chamber, why did SG show up as Townie also? I thought you said your role was just "Neutral: Mason."
My role is just Neutral: Mason, I can only assume like cariion said, that he showed up as a townie as well because he was when he died. Of course it means I'm wrong about the nature of neutrals.
At this point I'll go ahead and FOS: Highroller. He was dead wrong about the brother masons, and I don't like the way he's been trying to lead the town.

First things first - over the weekend I read Marv's story at Borders. Good stuff.
Secondly, the game. We started with 23 players. Thus we probably have between 5 and 7 (most likely 5 or 6) mafia. With 15 left alive, we're looking at probably lynch or lose tomorrow if we mislynch today; if we don't mislynch today, then with obviously things are a lot brighter.
Suspicions - I'd like to hear Chamber's reasoning behind his vote for JCS, but I'm sure he'll give it. I sort of agree with JCS' reasoning behind attacking Highroller; he does seem to be pushy for information. Other than that, I got nothin.
Also agree that Fayul was probably Marv (lucky!), but I don't know who Miho is there. I'll take your word for it, though.
First things first- sorry armlx. In fairness, I don't know what else I could have thought when Hawkeye came up town, and I really did think I was going to be killed if I sat on that info. If Fayul was Marv, it means that we're not actually being told people's rolenames on death, just alignment and description... could our Sin City experts come up with some character who'd be a bodyguard but also "seem" evil?
On the night's happenings- all I know from last night is another person who did nothing. I guess that's an improvement on watching fayul or SG (both of whom I strongly considered), given that any results on them would now be useless.
Gut feeling with Fayul is that if she was the nightkill, it was because of her restriction. Townie with big restriction usually has big power role, and given that matjoeman is still with us perhaps the scum are freaked that there's still a doctor. Might mean WOLG is not long for this world or might mean we want to take a look at him if he doesn't die.
On Highroller- maybe I'm being a sucker because he first confirmed me on the "green" thing when he could have left me dangling out there, then he confirmed that I watched him. I tend to read people much better in mafia when they interact directly with me, though, so I trust my instincts on this. I don't think he's scum. I disagreed with him on vigging a mason, but there's quite a few people out there who wanted to vig a mason.
Oh, and HR- I think WOLG has claimed to be from our comic hasn't he? Am I misremembering that?
I'm probably most inclined to look at the people throwing suspicion at Fayul yesterday, as soon as I can go back and actually see who they were. Given that we were bandwagonning a suspected SK and the mafia probably believed in it as much as the rest of us, in hindsight the people looking to divert to Fayul could have included some scum.
No night messages. I wonder if that means that "Dark Horse" was Azrael after all. No additional people claimed to have been cleared, either.
Waiting on matjoe. If we're lucky, we might have an easy lynch today. Hoping very much he didn't inspect a mason.
@Raf: I have considerable reason to believe that Miho is in the game, but what makes you think that "turned into a pez dispenser" is signature of Miho?
Wait, Rhino I thought you claimed to be from the other comic as well?
"EDIT:" I think the town owe's SorryGuy an apology for getting him Azwolged.
First things first- sorry armlx. In fairness, I don't know what else I could have thought when Hawkeye came up town, and I really did think I was going to be killed if I sat on that info. Closest thing I could come up with is Manute, but Manute would BE evil without question.
Oh, and HR- I think WOLG has claimed to be from our comic hasn't he? Am I misremembering that?
My character I don't think is in either the book or the movie, but since I haven't seen/read them (just skimmed that Wikipedia link), I could be dead wrong.
That's all I/EinsteinMonkey has claimed to my knowledge and it still stands.
@Raf: I have considerable reason to believe that Miho is in the game, but what makes you think that "turned into a pez dispenser" is signature of Miho?
Wasn't me who said that. I'm planning on seeing Sin City on Wedsnesday at an outdoor cinema event, until then I wouldn't know squat.
@Raf: I have considerable reason to believe that Miho is in the game, but what makes you think that "turned into a pez dispenser" is signature of Miho?
Actually, I was the one who said that it was Miho.
DWIGHT
Miho doesn't quite chop his head off...
Miho slices the neck of Jackie Boy with a samurai sword. Blood streaks across her face.
DWIGHT
... she makes a pez dispenser out of him.

C'mon people, see the movie already so we can get on the same page.

If we get desparate later, well, anything goes I suppose, but we've still got time. I really don't see the argument right now. I will concede, however, that I am perhaps not as up to speed on this whole game as I should be.

Significantly, but I'd rather not give anyone a hint as to what my role is yet. The reason why will come in time.
Any of you guys want to end this?
Town/Mafia/Other - 14/6/3

Eh, whatever. Vote armlx. The day's over anyway; we may as well speed it along. Here's hoping.

On night 4, I'll likely be extending the night period for an additional length of time, so that no one is rushed. My apologies for any inconvenience.

Not quite.

By the way, chamber, why did SG show up as Townie also? I thought you said your role was just "Neutral: Mason."

Well I think that pretty much rules out any possibility of Miho not being in the game.
My role is just Neutral: Mason, I can only assume like cariion said, that he showed up as a townie as well because he was when he died. Of course it means I'm wrong about the nature of neutrals.

Wait, Rhino I thought you claimed to be from the other comic as well?
"EDIT:" I think the town owe's SorryGuy an apology for getting him Azwolged.

So Fayul apparently took out SorryGuy, and then got iced herself. We are doing so well.
Why no messages? If we have a Cop who can have the mod post his results for him. Why isn't he doing it more? If we don't, then who posted the message about Highroller? I'd like to hear from MatJoe, if possible now.
Vote: Azrael (you know, just to see. Don't read into it.)
Well, so long as we have established that Miho is in the game and not pro-town, lets read in all capitals!

...which I took as a claim of Bodygaurd. I almost outed this when Hawkeye died, but the non-Sin City folk said the kill matched the villains from their comic, and I thought it was possible that there was a day BG and a Night BG.
I find it interesting that DM was just veiwing the thread, and didn't comment on all the Miho speculation.
Sorry in advance if all this ends up doing is outing a power role, but I feel it is the right thing to do.
