I keep Quinn around for heals. When he's properly geared he's a pretty damn good healer. He's in solid lvl 50 blue's right now with some orange gear full of mods.
The nonheroic Ilum dailies are a peace of cake with just you and you companion. Five missions total, 10k worth and a daily commendation for each. 50k and five daily coms 20-30 minutes of questing seems good to me.

On average I'll make 100k a day just with slicing. How? Sell the missions--apparently they are going for bank on the auction house right now. Usually about 15-20k a piece!
Anyways, I should start doing the dailies, but there is always someone on who wants to do them too, and its quicker with two players. Quinn right now is in 50 greens, but I'm trying to find gear for him. Since our guild doesn't have many Cunning people it's hard to find gear for him that someone can't use.
Yeah, the missions sell extremely well, it's how I manage to fund all my purple mods for the outfit I wear. I've easily spent over a million credits on gearing up.
Bought this tonight after weighing the pros and cons and financial aspects...
Then threw those arguments away when I realized I'd be...
WALKING AROUND IN THE SW UNIVERSE.
You'll love it. Come join me on Hyperspace Cannon server, we're in the Clock Tower guild if you want a nice casual guild that raids.
Speaking of Raids... We completed our first raid today, Eternity Vault. This was our first night raiding as a guild as we finally got enough 50's, and we beat the entire raid in less than 3 hours!
We one-shot the first boss without losing anyone, one-shot the second boss after he glitched the first time and wiped us, one shot the third boss and wiped after we completed it, two-shot the fourth boss after it glitched the second time, and then two-shot the last boss after he glitched once.
To say the least I am very glad the team we had was very competent and knew their roles very well. These raids are WAY more fun than WoW's raids!
He was right. Falling in love with this. Haven't found one bad thing about it yet.
The three biggest things for me are.
Combat: You run while fighting. You have friggin lasers and nades. No more static sword swings or spell channeling.
Immersion: It's like I'm making my own movie at times. Voice acting was so necessary in MMOs and SWTOR did it flawlessly. I guess when you have EA/Lucas Arts kind of money you can do that. Haven't been immersed in a world since Norrath EQ1, when 3D MMOs were in infancy.
I Give A Crap: I played Rift. It was gorgeous. The most beautiful game I'd ever seen on a PC. But at the end of the day, I didn't give a **** about the world and was just a grindfest. But SW? I've known about SW since I was 6 friggin years old. It's a familiar yet new word. Everything lore based in this keeps my attention. And whatever isn't voice acted I find myself reading.
Unprecedented epicness.

Whesker Atum - Imperial Sniper of Canderous Ordo
Whesker Atum is a highly regarded Imperial Sniper who rose through the ranks at a speed unparalleled by his peers and therefore was chosen from those amongst his ranks to carry out the Empire's most critical tasks. Such success has made Whesker an invaluable asset to Imperial Intelligence despite his brash demeanor towards his superiors. He executes his orders with ruthless efficiency and without remorse for anyone foolish enough to stand in his or the Empire's way. A man not easily impressed, but when one does manage to surprise him in such ways, his sincerity about it genuine. When not busy with Imperial tasks he finds the time to use his charms to capture the hearts of many a fair galactic madien (and more often, not-so-madien) with one hand while extorting credits from those who are not on par with his intelligence with the other. The combination of his skills and attitude have brought him to the attention to the Great Sith Lords. He'd never admit as such, and while he tries to prove his disdain for both Imperial bureaucratic policy and the Sith alike whenever he can, Whesker remains loyal to both, and of course to himself.
And he will follow them into the dark.
I am on Canderous Ordo and will probably be starting a guild. The Parasol Consortium.
As a vanguard tank running guildies through HMs, I can tell you the talking DOES get old. However, the fights are still fun, especially the last boss in Esseless (Yay void zones). The Ops are super fun too, though normal mode is rather... Easy. Ones shot all of EV and KP first time in there. Hard mode is pretty hard though, havn't tried nightmare mode.
Yeah the EV and KP Normals are pretty easy. We did our first heroic EV today and you can definitely tell the bar was raised. Still very fun, though.
Definitely, the biggest barrier is it basically requires everyone have acquired all their colomni gear to get past some of those bosses, and the DPS timers are still very tight (something I approve of).
That said, going back and playing through the story on alts is rather fun, I am enjoying my sith inquisitor and jedi knight, both classes are fun to play and the story is great.
Indeed the story is fantastic and very polished (can't say the same about Flashpoints, eehhh), and I got a couple others being raised at the moment.
However, I don't think the heroics require full Columi... Our raid downed the first EV Heroic and I only had 2 pieces of Columi and other party members were similar. Didn't hit the enrage timer.
But then I was also doing more DPS on my Marauder than the full columi BH was doing, sooo...
We downed the first two bosses in EV and the first boss in KP with only tionese gear, but the later bosses are just way to hard on the healers with only tionese gear. I did like the story that esseless/Taral V/Maelstrom Prison all had together, it was rather cool to see the progression then face down a big boss, is it that way on the imperial side?

Indeed, but most of them are very buggy. Specifically HK-47... Ugh, it takes more practice to not make him bug out than it does to kill him.
