In the context of this round, yes, because you can still see the body in front of you.
Well, you can if you look down into the pit its body's producing. If you try poking the body with a stick, you'll have a few inches less stick than when you started.
Time Breaker

Fair Reckoning(2/W)(2/W)
Instant (C)
Destroy target permanent that shares a card type with a card put into your graveyard from the battlefield this turn. "For six counts of robbery and two of murder, you are hereby sentenced to surrender 7,492 weights of silver, 16 years of labor, and your life."
Unmourned Loss :sym2b::sym2b:
Sorcery (U) (:sym2b: can be paid with any two mana or with :symb:. This card's converted mana cost is 4.)
Choose a color. Target player sacrifices a creature which isn't the chosen color.
Nice play on an edict effect. All the mana modes seem fine, except perhaps all colorless. I like the name. 8/10
Breaker-breaker(2/B)(2/G)
Instant (U)
Destroy target creature. You lose 3 life if B was spent to cast Pain of Proclivity. That creature’s controller puts a 3/3 green Beast creature token onto the battlefield if G was spent to cast Pain of Proclivity. (Do both if BG was spent.) Sometimes, it really is best to stay neutral.
Huh, interesting take, punishing for using color. The punishments are quite harsh, especially since you have the option to cast it for 4 (which seems vastly superior to 2G). Name is stupid but funny. 6/10
Shrike's Heartbreaking(2/B)(2/B)
Instant (U)
Destroy target creature. You lose life equal to the amount of mana spent to cast Shrike's Heartbreaking. Shrikes take everything too literally.
I really like it. Simple, elegant way of scaling the different mana modes. I'm uncertain how well lifeloss and colorless reconciles, but the fact that it's black is a nice touch that binds it all together. 9/10
Swept Away :sym2g::sym2g::sym2u::sym2u:
Instant (R)
Put target noncolored permanent on top of its owner's library.
That player chooses one -- That player puts the top eight cards of their library into their graveyard; or that player puts the top card of their library into their graveyard and you Scry 2.
That should be "colorless", not "noncolored". The overall card feels more mono-blue than green; frankly the [card]4GG[/mana] mode makes sense with the first line but not at all with the second. Also, it seems like a roundabout way of saying "Destroy target colorless permanent". 6/10
Prismatic Sacrifices:Sym2B::Sym2B:
Sorcery (R) Domain - Each player sacrifices a creature for each basic land type among lands you control. His eyes flashed a bright multicolored light, as though as they've been extinguished. He then collapsed to the floor, followed by many other bodies.
Dear lord this is like Barter in Blood on steroids. On a card as overpowered as this, the extra mana modes are even more dangerous; for instance, this can effectively be a Wrath for any 3-Color deck regardless of black. Good design but it never would've worked with the round's restrictions. 6/10
Dimension Blaze :sym2r::sym2r::sym2w:
Instant (U)
Dimension Blaze deals 4 damage to target creature
If no colored mana was used to play this, exile target creature at the end of turn. A fire so hot, it burns through time and space.
I dislike the 4W mode (but I'm quite picky like that). Lopsided colors also seems strange to me. In any case, it seems fine; it's a bit weak but the flexibility of the mana cost makes up for that in spades. 7/10
Trial of Souls:Sym2W::Sym2W::Sym2B::Sym2B:
Sorcery (R)
Exile all creatures and planeswalkers with converted mana cost equal to or less than the amount of mana you spent to cast Trial of Souls. As more voices call for vengeance, even the more mighty cannot resist it.
I think "Destroy" would've been a better choice; less complex and I personally dislike 4BB or 6B being able to exile things. Of course, Unmake and Sever the Bloodline are precedents, so fair enough. While I wouldn't deduct points here for not putting the Breaker into a graveyard, this is a special case because I disliked exiling at all. I like the planeswalker part of it; a nice find of something that both colors do. The mana clause is also a nice way of scaling. My problem with 4-twobrid mana costs and two colors is the number of different ways you can cast it, which can be confusing for some players to think of. Anyway, overall I like the design, and I love the synergy between it and the Breaker; a card which is better at dealing with this particular creature than others. Not a lot of cards here have done that. In hindsight, I would've liked Borderbreaker at 4CMC to make it even cooler, but hindsight 20/20 etc. 8/10
Egak: Card is a bit boring on the surface, but its secondary thing is rather... unusual... in a mono-black deck it makes no difference, but it makes it exceedingly more difficult to spawn int into multi-color decks.
LnGrrrR: I see what you were going for here, but it just doesn't work, you can do the 4 color effect with it by just paying one of each color. Sure, it makes it so if your using a mono-color deck or a colorless deck that it can still be played, it just feels kind of silly the way you did it.
Solesticio: Sweet, simple, and very playable in its own color or for colorless only, I fully approve of this card =D
Profani: Simple again, it does its job... though maybe its backfire cost is a bit much, I mean, half your life for a single permanent? I can see situations where you might do it, but its not an every day card, still, not bad.
GG Crono: Its very flavor fitting for the white cost, and there is precedent for white exile cards, but, upon looking at further rules, turns out it had to hit graveyard, though I am not sure if that is being applied since it wasn't clear at the start.
blackkithkin20: It works... half the time, I thought the card was supposed to take down the creature no matter what, and the entwine cost is a bit low for the effect, besides that I enjoy it.
Eskimo_Rage: Super flexible for how it works, and it only punishes you if you don't use black, which is a bit flavorful, though black does like to make you hurt yourself... still, love the card =D
Heart Breaker3
Creature - Breaker (C) 3R,T: Gain control of target creature until end of turn. Untap that creature. It gains haste until end of turn. At the beginning of next end step, that creature fights Heart Breaker.

Faded Banishing :sym2b::sym2b:
Instant (U)
Destroy target nonblack creature.
A deck containing Faded Banishing may not have more than four copies of any nonswamp basic land.
Overall comments:
Very creative drawback, but on a card that doesn't need one.
Colorless cost seems tacked on just to meet challenge, and strictly worse than existing cards without a good balance justification.
Wrong wording - needs "in it" at the end of the drawback.
Mana Impurities
Sorcery (U)
If Rwas spent to cast this spell, deal 4 damage to target creature. If Gwas spent to cast this spell, destroy target colorless creature. If only colorless mana was spent to cast this spell, destroy target colorless creature, then deal four damage to a creature you control. "These fools have no idea what they're doing. Real power comes from the earth! The sky! Not from a lab!" - Master Grude, recording
Overall comments:
Card only viable in framework of challenge - again, the colorless aspect feels tacked on.
How many colorless creatures are there that this would be useful on? Not many.
Wording needs to be "~ deals 4 damage to target creature" instead of "deal 4 damage to target creature."

Nice card. Correct wording on all effects (except for a period, an acceptable typo), good drawback for a potentially 2 cmc vindicate.
Has potential to see constructed play.
Again, real creative drawback. Might have been better if you could link your drawback to the breaker.
Don't see how paying half your life matches with green's color wheel. Perhaps or would've been better.

Creative use of colored mana.
Way too wordy. Lots of text for little effect - I think it's too specified.

GODAMN BOXES. I DO NOT THINK THEY WORK HOW YOU THINK THEY DO.
Anyway, this card is...really good. It's not the colourless aspect of it, it's that you tried to make it awesome for RR and made it a bit too much so. It's two mana for six damage, that you can split, if you just cast it for a mere RR. That's ridiculously efficient removal.
Ephemeral6

Destroy all creatures that do not share a color with mana in your mana pool. "When the threads of mana are threatened, the very laws of reality will rise up with great prejudice."
This is interesting. It's often just a weirdly costed wrath, but by using some extra mana, it can end up being awfully one-sided. My main concern is the amount of thinking that you have to do in order to actually cast the spell, and that it can be very confusing for newbs and older players alike who don't realise the mana you float to cast it can lower its cost.
Interesting, and I guess, at 8 mana for a colourless cost, it's fair enough to be mass artifact removal. Being in the three colours that can probably get away with mass land destruction is a nice touch, too.
And Team Zarugh huh?... this should be interesting

Round 1 WIP:
Needle Gale(2/G)(2/G)
Instant {R}
Gale of Needles deals 4 damage to target creature with flying.
If no colored mana was used to play this, deal 2 damage to each other creature with flying. A Thousand tiny pinpricks, widespread they cause pain, focused, they shred to pieces
Hope that works, I thought with as much colorless mana sources in the game as there is, that spell could be used rather easily for its second casting cost.
Edit: Shifted it up a bit, make it multi-useful, as for reference for doing 4 damage for 2 green, see Leaf Arrow, *nod nod* if you can do 3 damage for G, doing one more damage for another green makes sense.
Getting a bonus for paying colourless, one that can be arguably out of colour, feels weird. Flame Slashing a flying guy is pretty good at four; if you use purely colourless mana... Then again, I guess it's hard enough to achieve... :|

I don't care how much life you have to pay for it. Letting black and, to a less extent, the other colours, destroy enchantments and artifacts at such a cheap cost is too much.
Mana Impurities
Sorcery (U)

Real power comes from the earth! The sky! Not from a lab!" - Master Grude, recording
This is interesting. Red-mode is quite red, green-mode is quite green, and doing both is a nice blowout. I like that the colourless version is both combined, but warped in a way as to produce a downside.
I found this challenge harder than I expected. I can't find nothing good. And I probably won't. I'll post tomorrow.
Echoes of Void :sym2b::sym2b:
Instant (U)
Destroy target creature. You lose 1 life for each spent to cast Echoes of Void.
Er, did you just make a card that punishes you for not breaking the colour pie? To be fair, I guess it is pretty good at BB and substantially less good at 4. Arguably a bit of a stretch, letting colours get such removal, but idk.
MirrorEntity: Prisonsmith seems like a more general version of Leonin relic warder. Heartbreaking's decently balanced with side effect. It deals with the challenge but that's about all i have to say about that.
yewlas: Spellbreaker is pretty cool, I'll give you that. The other card is interesting despite a proper title as it actively punishes you for using anything other than colorless.
BlackBull: Squeeze the Pale is pretty straight forward throwing in the draw seemed kind of superfluous. I really like the Detritus Ingester.
ced395:TheBbreaker is okay, and Unmourned Loss , while a good name is pretty straight forward.
Aemadi
Zanny77: The instant is pretty good, sadly it's kind of a dud unless you've got the colored mana. However I do like the breaker, both flavorfully and it's abilities.
void_nothing: The instant is quite good , though the name is a little unusual. The breaker however is confusing at worst,at tongue tying at best. It's a nice card but the jumbled wording makes it difficult to stand out.
Gerrard's Mom: The breakers kind of cool, and the spell is nice flavorfully, though the mechanics are a little on the fuzzy side to me.
I've just submitted my card. These last couple of days were a mess. It's up to MDenham to allow my entry to be judged and then to each judge to count it or not.
Sorry about that.

You should make clear exactly what the challenge involved - the "your breaker must go to the graveyard as a result of your spell no matter what mana was paid. graveyard=/=exile."
You should make clear exactly what the challenge involved - the "your breaker must go to the graveyard as a result of your spell no matter what mana was paid. graveyard=/=exile."
I agree with this. Jimmy Groove made a good card and I don't want to give him 0 because the clarification came too late. And also, basically 3 of the 4 people in Team Yimal didn't meet the challenge; Timothy tucks, Jimmy Groove exiles, and Random Notion's card could exile the breaker with one of its mode.
I think that, for this round, an exception needs to be made for the people who made exile or other types of removal cards.
I'm not going to disregard people's critiques or top 3s just because they rank a card that exiles or, through any other means, doesn't produce a demonstrable body where a live Breaker used to be; just take the "there should be a body right there" idea into account when you critique and rank cards.
(And in case people are wondering what Breakers are made out of: universal solvent. Well, maybe.)
Timothy, Mimeslayer - That seems like a bit of an obvious choice (I think in most cases, paying 4-8 to remove one and scry 2?)
Prophylaxis - If it's the only creature out, then this could be a pain in the butt, however, it's a standard black creature removal that is available for all colors.
Random_Nation - Not bad, but it seems a bit costly. Either way, challenge does state to go to graveyard and not exile.
Jimmy Groove - So you can exile things that are 4 or under or 8 or under. Way to powerful. Plus it doesn't meet the challenge (not exile).
ced395 - Heh, sneaky way to slap someone! But to say "Isn't the chosen color" means that it would give them a LOT of outs.
BlackBull - To bad you got a 0 on this.
yewlas - I'm not sure if I like this card. It seems that it's a blue/red/white non-drawback destruction. I would play it for that, but would be just filler in a black/green deck.
MirrorEntity - Not bad, it balances out the color bleeds that WOULD happen (let's face it, it would).
ced395: I do like this. This seems to be a fine utility-level sac card that has aesthetic appeal (not caring about a color) and this can pinpoint a creature somewhat.
BlackBill: This is a fine card - it will usually hit artifacts or lands. However, I am a bit afraid of giving black artifact removal, even at 5 + cantrip.
yewlas: Not a fan - this is a big "don't play black or green" card, and 4 might be a bit low. I'm surprised - I usually expect to see good cards from you, and this made me a bit disappointed.
MirrorEntity: This is a strong card, similar to yewlas'. It lets you get around the "non" restriction if you pay some life, and cool if you pay nonblack. My only big gripe about this is that this is similar to Dismember.
Team Aemadi
Zanny77: I do like the killing part of this card, but this DOESNT DO ANYTHING AT ALL if you are paying different colors, which is what twobrid mana is supposed to encouraged.
void_nothing: This card is a comedy of errors. It's really weird to read and the cantrip kinda breaks the symmetry. I dunno about this card. Twobrid adds more chaos to a card with complicated decision trees.
GM: Shouldn't this use Morbid? I'm not too sure about this card - it's kind of hard to get a noncreature permanent into the grave, and this card can cost a lot in the early game. The twobrid is nice, though. The card doesn't really feel white to me - more of like a "revenge" card and similar to Morkrut Banshee.
Team Aemadi
Zanny77 - One mana off the cost of Ball Lightning in exchange for losing trample and a point of power is probably fair. One mana more for Prey Upon is definitely reasonable. Together, they are pretty overwhelming, especially since you can have a smaller creature do the fight in many cases, letting the Viashino get through. But that isn't completely beyond the curve, and the flavor works well with the obvious limitations. 7/10
void_nothing - I don't think "Destroy target creature" is something monoblue should have so easily at three mana, even if there is card disadvantage worked in as a balance. The black side works better, as does the hybrid between the two. The flavor doesn't really match the ability much. 5/10
Gerrard's Mom - An interesting card. White can destroy all permanents other than lands with ease, but this requires a special condition to hit a land, which balances things out. It also requires you to lose something, making it reactive, but like Balance, you can rig the scales with careful play. The flavor is rock-solid. 9/10
Team Yimal
ced395 - It is elegant, but rather awkward, and the flavor isn't very straightforward. 4-mana is probably high enough above the normal cost of such an effect to make it reasonable for every deck to have access to it. 7/10
Polendino BlackBull (late entry, replacing for suspended person) - Doesn't use twobrid mana, so it doesn't meet the challenge. -/10
yewlas - A very interesting take, being the first twobrid card I ever saw that uses the colored mana as a disadvantage. Definitely fits the green side by the precent of Beast Within, and it's weak but fits the black side as well. 4-mana is pretty good for "Destroy target creature" though, so I could see this being played in U decks, but even then it doesn't overwhelm the precent of Shattered Visage. The flavor and punny name are the weakest parts. 8/10
MirrorEntity - More conventional, in that it pays off to cast it with pure black. In that case, it is well balanced against things like Go for the Throat, being more versitile but costing you life. As you use less black mana, it costs more, and 4 life is a pretty big downside for a non-black deck. The flavor could be a little more refined, but it isn't bad. Very elegant. 9/10
Glass Rose is an interesting card. It definitely captures the idea of a card designed to fight against the eldrazi. I also find that it can fight against any kind of strategy, as long as the opposing player plays with colorless cards.
Touch of Hemlock is an nice card but I don't like that it can only be used to defeat colorless cards.
Chainbreaker seems to be the opposite of Oblivion Stone. It seems to be very slow, but overall I like the idea.
Spiteful Retaliation keeps in line with your original concept of putting counters on opposing permanents, however since the retaliation was supposed to be designed to combat your breaker, I can't ever see this spell getting its bonus when fighting against your breaker.
Mine Breaker seems to fail in the original idea to combat eldrazi. Eldrazi, and your breaker, have no color. So, without any additional help, Mine Breaker can never destroy ANY creature. I understand that you may have been going for a combo idea...but designing a card that is utterly useless by itself is never a good idea.
Ethereal Verdict however is a very nice card. But I think destroying an attacking creature and gaining 15 life in one card for WWWWW is a bit strong.
1st: Timothy
2nd: Jimmy
3rd: Random
Timebreaker is an interesting concept with the turn controlling requirements. I rather like that idea. This card is obviously meant to combat Emrakul, The Aethers Torn specifically. The ability to exile any colorless permanent is also pretty nifty.
Swept Away is pretty cool since it forces the opponent to choose which one of the effects to apply. I really think magic needs more these types of cards.
So um...yeah not much to say on the breaker lol.
Prismatic Sacrifices is nice. I like that its still useful in a mono colored or even a five color deck. Nicely done.
Horde Crusher is really cool, however I just don't like its flavor. I didn't like that leyline that's similar to this either just because of flavor reasons. Cool idea, just doesn't sit well with me.
I do not like the delayed trigger on the Blaze. If it were me, I would had the exile clause be an instead exile something.
Borderbreaker is just a symmetrical version of Prismatic Omen on legs. I also don't see how this is useful in combating the eldrazi.
Trial is a very powerful sweeper. However, being that to get the greatest effect of it you need to spend 8 it doesn't seem to powerful. Overall a nice card. I'd love to be able to play with it.
Is GiddeonJur@ still in the game? Or did he drop/get moved to another team?
"Some of the other guys dared me to go out, but I knew it weren't no ordinary giant giga-blasting blaze of unending flames that would scorch the whole world."
—Norin the Wary
Zanny77- The parenthetical part should say "Do both if RG was spent" like Firespout. Anyway, this is a pretty clever design and a fun use of the mana. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite meet the challenge, as you can't spend colorless mana to do this. In fact, colorless mana will get you nothing from this. That's a shame, as I really like this card. Making a Viashino instead of an Elemental is weird, though.
void_nothing- Interesting name and use of the two colors. Overall, though, it feels a little mechanical without a lot of heart. The card advantage issue is odd, as this replaces itself but gives the opponent an extra card in exchange for the problem creature. I find the fact that it hurts your opponent to be a poor use of black's card draw element, since it can't ever hit you and feels pretty punishing. Still, good removal is good.
Gerrard's Mom- I find this card a bit strange given the criteria of the round. It just seems weird that I'm suppose to assume this criteria is met but can't assume a colored payment was met. Anyway, this feels pretty good in white, though the colorless option is just meeting the round's requirement. I'm a bit surprised that this type of effect hasn't been done yet, as it feels perfect for white's slice of the pie.
Team Keliak
EronTheRelentless- I really dislike the wording here. It should read, "Burn the Chaff deals 4 damage to target creature. You gain 4 life unless that creature is black." Anyway, this is pretty nice effect for BR, though it seems a bit overly expensive. I'm not sure if eight mana from any color is worth this or not. A rarity would have been nice, also.
KoolKoal- I really like this effect. Generally, I'm not a fine of Squelch-type cards, but the limitation makes this feel much better. I really wish this always killed the creature instead of just tapping it sometimes, though. I'd have preferred to see this as a traditional multicolored card, but requirements are what they are. Regardless, good job.
Ninja Caterpie- This is a very neat and refreshing card. It's nice to see something that just deals with its target, whereas some cards this round were rather convoluted. I'm not sure why this makes everybody gain the life, but it should have some interesting ramifications for multiplayer, which is always a plus for me.
silence_dais- This is a neat card compared to something like Unmake, but the wording is atrocious. I think the clearest way would have been, "If W was spent to cast Confirmed Execution, you may destroy target attacking or blocking creature. If B was spent to cast Confirmed Execution, you may destroy target nonblack creature. If WB was spent to cast Confirmed Execution, exile target creature instead." Honestly, I don't know if that's right either, as I you have to choose targets before you pay costs, and this sort of makes you choose three different targets that only matter sometimes. I get what the card is trying to do, and I love how it change the spell completely if you spend both types of mana, but the wording is so weird. Also, this does nothing if you just spend colorless, failing the requirement.
Wait, we are providing a Top 3 for each of the two teams? I was under the impression that it was one Top 3 for both of the teams. I guess this makes more sense.

Nice play on an edict effect. All the mana modes seem fine, except perhaps all colorless. I like the name. 8/10
Doesn't fit the challenge at all. Other than that, it's a fine card, although more interesting if colored. 0/10
Huh, interesting take, punishing for using color. The punishments are quite harsh, especially since you have the option to cast it for 4 (which seems vastly superior to 2G). Name is stupid but funny. 6/10
I really like it. Simple, elegant way of scaling the different mana modes. I'm uncertain how well lifeloss and colorless reconciles, but the fact that it's black is a nice touch that binds it all together. 9/10
That should be "colorless", not "noncolored". The overall card feels more mono-blue than green; frankly the [card]4GG[/mana] mode makes sense with the first line but not at all with the second. Also, it seems like a roundabout way of saying "Destroy target colorless permanent". 6/10
Dear lord this is like Barter in Blood on steroids. On a card as overpowered as this, the extra mana modes are even more dangerous; for instance, this can effectively be a Wrath for any 3-Color deck regardless of black. Good design but it never would've worked with the round's restrictions. 6/10
I dislike the 4W mode (but I'm quite picky like that). Lopsided colors also seems strange to me. In any case, it seems fine; it's a bit weak but the flexibility of the mana cost makes up for that in spades. 7/10

I can see situations where you might do it, but its not an every day card, still, not bad.
blackkithkin20: It works... half the time, I thought the card was supposed to take down the creature no matter what, and the entwine cost is a bit low for the effect, besides that I enjoy it.
Eskimo_Rage: Super flexible for how it works, and it only punishes you if you don't use black, which is a bit flavorful, though black does like to make you hurt yourself... still, love the card =D

Very creative drawback, but on a card that doesn't need one.
Colorless cost seems tacked on just to meet challenge, and strictly worse than existing cards without a good balance justification.
Wrong wording - needs "in it" at the end of the drawback.

Again, real creative drawback. Might have been better if you could link your drawback to the breaker.

Getting a bonus for paying colourless, one that can be arguably out of colour, feels weird. Flame Slashing a flying guy is pretty good at four; if you use purely colourless mana... Then again, I guess it's hard enough to achieve... :|
This is the most horrifically inelegant way to force people to play this in a black deck, and it isn't even necessary.
I don't care how much life you have to pay for it. Letting black and, to a less extent, the other colours, destroy enchantments and artifacts at such a cheap cost is too much.
This is interesting. Red-mode is quite red, green-mode is quite green, and doing both is a nice blowout. I like that the colourless version is both combined, but warped in a way as to produce a downside.
