This has been my pet deck since the release of the Commander decks, and I think it's close to where I want it to be as far as composition goes; however, I'm definitely open to suggestions and criticism of my card choices. I'm sure there are things that I have missed and some of my card choices are a little strange.
I love zedruu I have not begun to build her yet but she looks very fun.
My question is how competitive do you find her? My playgroup has the mentality if you aren't doing something huge or some combo you aren't playing edh right and im worried she may be a little gimmicky to be worth putting money into.

I've found myself playing the control role most of the time, keeping everyone else's combos (though my playgroups tend to frown on infinite combo) and large guys in check while gaining incremental advantage with Zedruu, and eventually taking over with one large guy backed up by Wild Research + Spell Crumple, taking someone out with Illusions of Grandeur, or something similar. She's not doing anything absurdly powerful (usually) but the amount of card advantage that you can gain from her is really astonishing sometimes and can definitely allow you to take over the game.
Dude, I had a Zedruu deck, but since not many people liked to play multiplayer in my turf, I disassembled it.
I'm thinking of putting it back, though, and much like yours. I'll run Thought Leash. Even if it was errata'ed not to be an insta-win combo, it's still cool to see your adversaries (unless they're dredge) lose their deck little by little...
Also, I run the full set of attack locks, meaning ghostly prision, Norn's annex and I'm intent on getting the other blue one I don't remember the name D:
