Urza Planeswalker presents: The Pub at the End of the Multiverse A good drop is hard to find
Great. Just great. Another month whittled away in the dirt-stained inns of Ravnica, drinking flagons of Urza-know-what with purple names like "Elixir of Hightower" to mask the fact they taste like something Yawgmoth threw up. You sigh despondently and slam back the remainder of your glass, trying to ignore the depressing truth you're a goddamn planeswalker and if life were fair, you'd be living it up on some sunny tropical paradise world inhabited exclusively by topless models.
You place your glass back down clumsily, watching as the froth slides slovenly back down its sides. There's probably a metaphor here, but you're far too drunk to know what it is, and luckily an unexpected sight snaps you back to reality before you try too hard to think of one - a plain white envelope sits neatly before you, it's bold red seal monogrammed with the letters "U.P." You shrug nonchalantly - weirder things have happened, right? - and open the letter, your jaw dropping progressively with every line you read.
Dear esteemed guest,
I would like to extend a formal invitation to experience the lavish excitement of The Blind Eternities Tavern, the most exclusive tavern this side of Equilor. Rub shoulders with champions as you sample the finest adult refreshments the Multiverse has to offer in the relaxed comfort only a private pocket existence can provide.
An escape, a celebration, The Blind Eternities Tavern has it all.
The Blind Eternities Tavern
Where legends meet their match.
The oppressively attentive wait staff scarcely have a chance to offer you a refill before you're out the door, head spinning with excitement and stomach thirsting for something more than thinly-disguised drake bile, the tavern's twin oak doors flapping wildly in the Ravnican night.

Signup challenge: Create a planeswalker card that represents yourself. Use no more than three colours.
The Card Creation League is a monthly contest in which players compete over seven rounds. Each month has an overall theme and/or story, determined by that month's host.
Each round, the host will assign a card creation task to the players. This task may vary between teams or players.
The first three rounds are open to everyone who joined in the sign-up thread, which will be posted near the end of the previous month. After these rounds, the Top 8 players will move on to three single elimination rounds to determine a winner.
Rounds usually last three to four days for submissions and about two days for critiques, but the host has final say in making the schedule.
For the first three rounds, players are divided into teams. Four teams is standard, but there may be more or less depending on the number of players. Each team will review another team's cards during the critique period of that round.
Each player must submit a Top 3 ranking for the team he or she critiques at the end of each round. Each 1st place is worth 3 points, 2nd place 2 points, and 3rd place 1 point.
Additionally, each player can receive 2 bonus points per round. One point is awarded for posting a Top 3, and one point for providing critiques for that team's cards.
Suggested areas to critique include creativity, balance, printability, and relation to the overall theme or that player's previous cards.
Players who do not post a card or a Top 3 will be put on "probation." Top 3 violations for a round can be removed by posting or PMing the host with your Top 3 before the end of the next round. Any player that would receive a second violation is disqualified from further competition that month.
At the end of the first three rounds, the Top 8 players will be selected by points (usually the top 2 from each team). In the case of ties, there may be more than 8 players advancing. The host will determine matchups for single elimination. At the end of each elimination round, remaining players not in that matchup will choose a winner to advance. The host will break any ties.
The final round is determined by public poll.
Prior to Top 8, players have a chance of getting a total of 100 points toward their score each Scoring Round. Scores for each Round are determined by the following equation:
Total points of Player A in round N = 100 * X/Y, where:
X = Total number of Scoring Points (Judge Points + Additional Points from Top 3 & Critiques)
Y = Total number of Possible Points (3 * Number of Judges + Additional Points)
3 points are given for a First Place Top 3 finish, 2 points for a Second Place, and 1 point for a Third Place. 1 additional point is awarded if a Top 3 is submitted. 1 additional point is awarded if Critiques are given for all entries to be judged.
This way the grading is more streamlined in the fact that all rounds prior to Top 8 are graded equally, and there is no handicap for any team that has fewer judges.
Each player accumulates points from each Scoring Round until the end of Round 3.
This month's CCL brought to you by Urza Planeswalker.

Nthesue, History of Daybreak4UBR
Planeswalker - Nthesue (M)
+1: Put the top five cards of your library into your graveyard.
-2: Return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
-2: Cast target instant or sorcery spell from your graveyard without paying it's mana cost. If it would be put into a graveyard, exile it instead.
-9: Exile all creature, instant, and sorcery cards from each opponent's graveyard. You may cast each card without paying their mana costs as long as they remain exiled.
5
Emeric, Arcane Trickster2UR
Planeswalker - Emeric (M)
[+1] Switch target creature's power and toughness until end of turn.
[-2] Draw a card, then deal damage to target creature or player equal to the number of cards you've drawn this turn.
[-6]You get an emblem with “Whenever an opponent draws a card, you may deal 1 damage to that opponent."
{3}
Hahel, the Creator2RWU
Planeswalker - Hahel (M)
Whenever a player activates a loyalty ability, put a loyalty counter on Hahel, the Creator.
-2: put a loyalty counter on target planeswalker.
-4: You may activate an additional loyalty ability of target planeswalker this turn.
-10: Search your library for any number of planeswalker cards, and put them onto the battlefield under your control. If you do, shuffle your library.
7
Hahel's own abilities also trigger his first ability.
Taking a note from Lanxal... here's a character I've mentioned in my Magic Wars. However, this is not a major character, just the catalyst for my race's current predicament.
Mortifax, Lord of Death1BB
Planeswalker - Mortifax (M)
Whenever a creature dies, put a loyalty counter on Mortifax, Lord of Death.
-2: Put a 2/2 black Zombie creature token onto the battlefield.
-4: Each player loses life equal to number of creatures in target player's graveyard.
-8: Destroy all creatures target player controls.
<3>
While using his last ability does refuel spent counters, if the ability is used with exactly 8 counters loyalty counters on him, he will be put into the graveyard before his first ability can put counters back on him.

Alden, Gleeful ManipulatorWUB
Planeswalker- Alden (M)
[+2] Target permanent becomes the color or colors of your choice.
[+1] Put two -1/-1 counters on target creature that dealt damage last turn.
[0] If Alden, Gleeful Manipulator's has 10 or more loyalty counters on him, target creature or player gains protection from the color of your choice.
Carissa Krane1BBR
Planeswalker - Carissa
[+1] Carissa deals 2 damage to each creature or player that was dealt damage this turn.
[-2] Put two 1/1 red Goblin Warrior creature tokens with haste onto the battlefield.
[-7] You get an emblem with "At the beginning of each player's upkeep, exile the top four cards of his or her library, then cast a random nonland card from among them without paying its mana cost."
{5}
Kuroa Sparkmother2UR
Planeswalker - Kuroa (M)
+1: Discard a card. If you do, draw two cards, then discard a card.
-2: Return target instant or sorcery card from your graveyard to your hand.
-5: Discard your hand, then search your graveyard and/or library for up to seven cards and put them into your hand. Shuffle your library.
[3]
If there's one style of planeswalker I like designing, redesigning, and designing again, it's one to represent myself. Flabort, Ageless Destroyer6URBB
Planeswalker - Flabort (Mythic, each other mythic printed twice as often) [5]
If Flabort, Ageless Destroyer would die or be destroyed, remove all counters from it and then put 5 loyalty counters on it instead.
[+1] Deal 2 damage to target creature or player.
[+1] Put 5 -1/-1 counters on up to five target creatures divided as you choose. Activate this ability only if Flabort, Ageless Destroyer has 3 or more loyalty.
[-7] Each permanent target opponent controls deals 2 damage to that player or a creature that player controls.
10-drop Finisher. Near impossible to kill due to replacement effect (Exile might work, though most cards that exile planeswalkers exile the ENTIRE board). Ultimate absolutely devastates a player, though takes 2 turns to charge (and 2 turns to recharge. Using it brings him to 0, so he jumps up back to 5). "Extra" Mythic Rarity (Good luck opening him in limited). Tip for surviving against him: Keep him at 1 loyalty (no lower) until you can exile him.
Planeswalker Finisher cards are a lot harder to get out than other types, I noticed, due to the small amount of cards that target them.
First ability [replacement]: Creative way of regenerating him, the D&D version has so many epic spells and feats that he regenerates in 1.2 seconds. With all wounds healed, though he can sustain damage between regenerations and feel pain.
Second ability [+1]: Direct damage, small amount. Makes him still useful if you can't get him to stick. He's not very creative, likes to fireball everything when he's low on level 50+ spells (Note: normally, the highest level spell in D&D is 10 (Epic). 3rd party feats and PrCs, though...)
Third ability [+1]: Three of these kills Emrakul. Yeesh. But Emrakul can kill him 3 times in the meantime. And eliminate several or your creatures. His philosophy is "when in doubt, destroy everything". If your opponent didn't get out a Finisher himself, this alone can be used to destroy them.
Fourth ability [-7]: Every three rounds, if you aren't sustaining major damage and below losing loyalty fast, this ability can take out another player. In multiplayer. Even if you're playing Respawn magic. In fact, this cards should be banned in Respawn. And all other formats. ALL OTHER FORMATS.
In fact, it should be Silver Bordered, despite not being silly in any way.
Before I put a real entry up, is it our forum personalities that we're representing, our real life selves, or a unique character for the CCL? Edit: Thanks.
Stive, Bitter Frost1U
Snow Planeswalker - Stive (Mythic) {2}
[+0] Put a frost counter on target creature and tap it. If a creature with a frost counter is dealt damage while it is tapped, destroy it.
[-1] Add U to your mana pool for each creature with a frost counter on it. This mana may only be used to cast Blue or Snow spells.
Hyman, the Devourer2RR
Planeswalker - Hyman (M)
[0] Sacrifice any number of nonland permanents. Put a loyalty counter on Hyman for each permanent sacrificed this way.
[-X] Target creature you control gets +X/+0 until end of turn and must attack this turn if able.
[-6] After the first postcombat main phase this turn, there's an additional combat phase followed by an additional main phase. At the beginning of that combat, untap all creatures that attacked this turn.
4
Leo Trimes, Bringer of Justice3RW
Plansewalker - Trimes (M)
[+2]: Put a 1/2 red and white Soldier creature token with double strike onto the battlefield.
[-2]: Creatures you control gain lifelink until end of turn.
[-8]: You get an emblem with, "Whenever you gain life, this emblem deals that much damage to target creature or player"
<4>
Imagine a Captain of a guard more then a Captain of a crew or ship, heavy armor and such. *nod nod*
+2 Choose one - You may play an additional land this turn; or scry 3. -2 Return target noncreature permanent to its owner's hand. -4 Target land you control becomes a copy of target creature.

Planeswalker - Pecara (MR)
<+1>: Target creature you control with power 2 or less is unblockable this turn.
<+1>: Put a 1/1 red Goblin creature token with haste onto the battlefield.
<-2>: You gain an emblem with "Whenever a creature you control attacks, it gets +1/+0 until end of turn."
<-5>: Pecara, Goblin's Hope deals 5 damage to each creature an opponent controls.
Samtha, Vineyard KeeperGG
Planeswalker - Samtha (MR)
+1: Add G to your mana pool.
-4: Add X green mana to your mana pool, where X is the number of Forest you control.
-7: Add any amount of green mana to your mana pool and you get an emblem with "Green mana doesn't empty from your mana pool as steps and phases end."
[3]
+2: Draw a card, then discard a card.
-3: You may cast target instant or sorcery in a graveyard without paying its mana cost. Then exile it.
-7: You gain control of all artifacts, enchantments, and emblems.
Lynx, Capricious Consigliere - 2WBR
Planeswalker - Lynx (M)
[+2]: Choose a player at random. Search that player's library and put a creature card from it into the graveyard. Then, shuffle that library.
[-3]: Choose a creature card at random from target player's graveyard. Put that card onto the battlefield under your control.
[-6]: You get an emblem with "if a target would be chosen at random, you may pick the targets instead." "Among the crimes he has commit over the years, burglary, coercion, and cheating were his favorite."
{3}
Sanuro, Blademaster2GW
Planeswalker - Sanuro (M)
+2 Put a +1/+1 counter on up to one target creature. That creature gains first strike.
0 Sanuro, Blademaster becomes an X/X Warrior creature until end of turn, where X is the number of loyalty counters on it. (It stops being a planeswalker)
0 Sanuro deals damage equal to the number of loyalty counters on it to target creature and that creature deals damage equal to its power to Sanuro.
