Alright, then we could get an official stance on it would help me. If people just post if they perfer 1 of the 4 options given here. That would help me out
1-2
2-
3-
4-1
I vote Option 1
Option 4 would be ideal but let´s be honest, it is not gonna happen.

Great pic btw, already saved it !!
Dont forget Dodito, you can still play if you like. If you make it into top 4, your points will go to who you beat to get there, and if you win it all again, 2nd place will get the invite, and I'll even throw a point for 5-8th place for wildcard as a celebration. Give ya something to still go for.

I'd really like to play in this.
I have exams on till the 20th but I think I should be able to find spare time for a set pretty easy.

Do I pm you now?
Its looking more and more likely were keeping it like last time, so Id say yes.
Option 1 is my preference, option 4 is pretty good, too.
Lantern, what's your opinion on judging and playing? I'd like to be available as much as possible to help judge / officiate, but I can see how that might end up being an unfair advantage if I see a ton of games and am participating. (Though, to be honest, while games are happening I'm usually checking up on Trice every once in a while to see people's games anyway, haha.)

This is why I started playing magic in the first place. It wasn't PT aspirations just making noobs cry by doing things that are perfectly fair.

I think the general concensis is judging is very helpful, and I'll toss your name down as one. Over all spectating has been viewed as helpful and fun, so you're fine, so long as you arent actively trying to gain an advantage off it.
Isn't this about getting people to play modern? While there is competitive I think more importantly it needs to be fun. And if someone spends all their time watching other matches and taking notes as to gain a huge advantage then maybe they need to win this tournament more than anyone of us should [needs help..crazy..loco]
There should be zero problem with judging and playing. So far there is a small, but dedicated player pool.
As suggested before by Raalic (I think), Judges are not really needed before top 8. Maybe we could get people to judge right as the top 8 is decided, and have them be people that are not actually in the top 8.
I think you guys are making this judge and lists things a huge deal, more so than it really is.
I mean, sure, knowledge of decklists is important, but this is suposed to be a fun tournamet anyways, ppl desperately getting into other´s matches and writting down just to get a look at lists seems silly to me.
Im in for option 4, but as everyone here said before, since thats not realistic at all, i´ll take option 1.
Alright. With that, I think its pretty clear option 1 is whats going to happen until a mod or someone cares to take it off my hands, which would be cool but unlikely. So send in those decklists guys so I can verify codes and lock you all in! 3 more days til we kick this event off again.
I am in. I think I have settled on a lust, but I might tweak the board here or there. That said, from what I have been testing, I really like modern. It's an affordable legacy.
In case I didn't tell you, I don't care about your opinion I just want your facts. And not the facts that make you seem smart. I want the ones that are actual facts.

From what I read, everyone so far seems to rather option 4 but if not option 1, including myself, I guess.

the 2 aside is you, and Torm.
I;m pretty sure feathers is in the number 3 camp, but havent gotten his official side yet.

Top 8 shows the better decks (or/and better players) which could still prove useful.
That being said I am open to anything.

Option 1 works for me. It would be awesome if we can post decklists once we reach the quarter finals in addition to this.
