In Starcraft mafia, he had a "nervous" smiley in RVS. Was scum.
Here, he has a "nervous" smiley/exclamation mark. Could very well be scum.
Worth applying pressure to test it. The case is not strong by any means, but one has to start somewhere, right?
Btw I don't trust Iso one bit saying Void is town, he's been scum in far to many of my recent games. (Iso that is.)
I'm gonna Occam's this. Which is the more likely explanation: that he made the same stupid scum slip twice in a row, or that it's just a bad coincidence?
My time machine meters are telling me it's coincidence.
It's been a while and my Latin isn't great. Is he using his Latin grammar correctly, or is he simply transliterating each word and keeping English grammar?
Assuming he's using correct Latin grammar, the first sentence is something like: "Magic is annoying and it's good that it exists."
The second one would be something like: "If only I could post in English."
My Latin is super rusty though, so I welcome any help anyone can give.
I'm gonna try and help out here. But Wheat, maybe it's a good idea if you put a link to http://translate.google.com/#la|en|magicis%20puella in your sig, so everyone can quickly go to Google translate to translate your posts.
Ego fecit.
I hope I translated it correctly. And if Wheaty just puts a link in his sig to Google translate, everyone else can translate his other posts for themselves.
Audinho is obvious town.
@Audinho: You can't use Iso's scum meta from ST:V. It was beneficial for him to die Day 1 in that game, so he didn't behave as he normally would as scum. Cyberpunk is a better example of Isoscum being caught Day 1.
I don't feel good about Void here, and I especially don't like the way Iso just buddied him.
@Cyouni: AI just gives me scum vibes overall in every game. If I put that aside for a minute, he seems town here atm. Need more info really.

That is a very valid point. I'll still stick with Iso beeing whatever Seppel says he is for the time beeing though

Oh also also I really am a neutral so Seppel is probably lying, considering I'm neutral survivor I highly doubt there are two of us having alternate extra win cons. Mine involves handing out baubles that do nothing other than signify I gave it to you, and I have to reach end game with all end gamed players having one. It seems unlikely that Seppel would be a survivor who has to find one person. Not only is that swingy as hell, as he loses if that person dies, but yeah. Just seems unlikely to me. So if we don't lynch Megiddo for self urination we should lynch Seppel for probably lying/we don't have to keep asking questions about his role.

Why do Neutrals claim? It seems so very bad and it's confusing for the town. Again guys, we now ignore everything said by kpaca.
If I ever become a Neutral, I have no intention of claiming.
Incorrect guy.
We ignore everything said by you, because it's quite clear that you think you know what you're talking about, but really have no base from which to draw your self appointed credibility.

At this point I see no reason to believe that Seppel is lying as a 23 person game is big enough to house 2 neutrals.
Right, but likely not like he described it. Seems incorrect to me. On top of that is the immediate dig. It reeks to much of shock and awe scum gambit tactics (the most effective kinds of scum gambits).

Eh maybe. Either way I plan to treat Seppel somewhere between invisible and Seppel Seppel.
This game is going to be so full of WIFOM between the Neutrals and the Mafia both trying to misdirect us. I've half a mind to start lynching Neutrals and see what shakes out.

In the Mafia Theory thread, we reasoned that it's correct play to come out in your first post. Since a popular scum falseclaim is to claim neutral survivor, you'd be lynched if you truthfully claimed. You'd have to falseclaim town just to survive it, and you'd have shady goals throughout the entire game.
Just like miller, the best possible play is to claim straight up.
And this is very interesting, because Kpaca's claim directly works against my wincon. I suspect he is in fact a modified CL (and I can pull up discussions where I've suggested his exact role once search comes back), and wins when everyone has a bauble. He wins, everyone else loses.

No, I'm trying to lynch scum. I want to survive to the end game and want others holding my baubles to do the same. If you work hard I have faith you can think your way through this.

I guess we have a difference of opinions then. I don't intend to get run up in any of my games and I sure as hell don't intend to let the town mislynch me because they don't believe my claim. I'm sticking to my opinion that Neutrals claiming is bad.
Now that we are thoroughly off-topic and not scum hunting anymore, does anyone else doubt that Neutrals are terrible WIFOM generators? I am literally considering putting them both on ignore. They do not share our win condition and will be actively working against us.

Not intending to get lynched ever. Brilliant strategy.
You are putting me on ignore because I am actively working against you? Is this your first game of mafia ever or are you missed a chunk of your cerebral cortex?
Furthermore, I have finished scum hunting, as I have caught meggido for you. Congrats on ignoring that because I'm a neutral.

On this whole neutral claiming thing. There are too many versions of neutrals out there for it to be a blanket and as a player who has played their fair share of neutral and psuedo-neutral roles I just don't see how you could come up with neutrals should/must claim at the beginning of the game. Their is way to much grey area for me to ever consider a hard set rule for this.

Especially a Survivor. That's not a role I would ever want to claim. Survivors need to be killed off before LyLo simply because they can and will side with the mafia in LyLo.
Seppel's claim at least made a bit of sense since he needs our help to find and protect his ally. That is a role I would consider claiming at least part of early on.
Both of them still need to be vigged tonight.

Like I invight everyone to go read this similiar situation in Goo Mafia because Seppel is already approaching it just like Stormblind did, by making things up and trying to say I'm an anti-town neutral or scum. Much like in Goo mafia, this is false, and based on falsities and irrelevant musings by the party which is now concerned about me being a neutral.

In response to me defeating the town in a Perfect Scum Victory in Avatar Mafia:
Claiming immediately is probably the best choice, because that quells town paranoia and tells the scum "Hey, don't shoot me."
Now, if a neutral survivor's role was able to send a message to the scumteam saying "Hey I'm neutral, don't shoot me," then keeping quiet and claiming town would probably be best.
I'd say that 90% of the time, a player claiming neutral under pressure should be lynched on the spot, because the player is likely scum. You'd have to convince me hardcore to not lynch a player in that situation.
The way a CL should win is by "poisoning" other living players. They retain their original win conditions while "poisoned" and only he wins if some balanced majority of players are poisoned.
Optional rule: The poison spreads when a player targets or is the target of a poisoned played.
Especially a Survivor. That's not a role I would ever want to claim. Survivors need to be killed off before LyLo simply because they can and will side with the mafia in LyLo.

Furthermore it makes no sense for me to side with mafia in lylo, I need to side with whomever I give baubles to.
Also sense the cat's all the way out of the bag, the baubles are wooden starfish. I'm not sure if this means anything to the flavor, but I'm sure Guardman can key me in.
