Lantern's Light Recap:
Affinty has been on the rise since the first game, having 2 in the first game, and 4 in the second! Blue tempo based decks are on the rise as well, and the online meta has been trending that way as well. The biggest thing I think I could not is the distinct Lack of combo. Take that as you will, a good sign, or a call to play some combo! But fair warning, with the rise of some blue based strategies, most notably fae, counter spells could seem to doom you. However... There is a giant portion of the meta that will not be equipped to deal with it.
I should know, the brew masters are hard at work, as many of touri 2's decks have had little techy twists, and some of them odd decks in general (most notably a chandra firebrand!) Id bite your nails if I were you!
Death and taxes are also on the rise, most likely due to being 2 of our very owns favorite deck, but the 3rd probably coming from the fact that D&T won it all last time, and placed some one in the semifinals.
Which is a great lead in into our players to watch out for. So as many know Doditto is currently the only victor of the games so far (within a few days the winner for number two will take it, and a new picture shall grace our OP). Obviously eyes are on him, but to be fair, if he wins it all again, 5th-8th place gets rewarded with a community point in honor of him, and the invite gets handed off to 2nd place.
But I wouldn't count Tom88 at all. The guy is a strong player, made it to the semifinals twice, and is still in the running for taking it all in game number 2!
Other players to watch is Cbus, second place for the 1st game, and getting beat out by Tom for semifinals in the 2nd. Hes proven to be a very good player, and if it wasnt for some terrible mana troubles in the first one, may in fact be the invite.
DXI-Edge has been on top of his game lately, as well as forestfire. Mastadon is probably the next guy to watch other than Tom88, as he is in the finals and in a very strong position. Hes proven to be a worth while player.
But if I'd cast my bets on some players who have shyed away from the limelight a bit, I'd take a second look at Pooping my Pants and slayer of all. These guys know the ins and the outs of playing some good tech skilled magic.
Thats it for Lantern's Light recap. Happy brewing, and remember! get those deck lists into me by tomorrow night!
Very nice little news brief there. I hope this becomes a thing.
Nitpicks: In paragraph 5, "game number 2" should be "IQ number 2". In paragraph 6, "semifinals" should be "quarterfinals". Also in paragraph 6, "1st game" should be "1st IQ".
Alrighty I have my deck ready. I'll most likely flame out hard but I just need to know if this deck is as good as I think it is.
Code: 08kfmtr5.... This should be fun.

In case I didn't tell you, I don't care about your opinion I just want your facts. And not the facts that make you seem smart. I want the ones that are actual facts.
Lantern, can we just officially say "No m13" for this one? If they randomly create the official patch today or tomorrow wouldn't it be too much work to verify everyone's changed decklists again?
I mean, it's only a month; if people are itching to test m13 they can simply play on cockatrice without playing in an IQ, no?
EDIT: Wow Lantern, including akaiser that's 11 people with codes since you've been on. Also, don't forget to change the title to (THIS IS THE LAST DAY TO SUBMIT DECKCODES) or something tomorrow.
Lastly, is Kirblar's list verified? You his code next to his name but he's still black, not golden.
