Not sure how much WOTC cares about flavor in these two but I guess seeing a devil in the Boros Legion...conveniently being commanded by an angel seems awkward to say the least.
Wotc has the intro packs for the purpose of a feel for the set (and in this case the guilds), the intro packs are also a good place to start playing magic, part of the reason they have booster packs included is so you can modify your deck to your own play style. The event decks are supposed to be a reasonable place to start playing somewhat competitive magic, and as such includes a sideboard, more rares, better mana bases, and three to four of many common and uncommon archetype nescestity, like in the rakdos event deck they had four searing spears, four rakdos cacklers, and in the golgari deck they put in four vampire nighthawks, and four tragic slips, they still keep some flavor in the event decks, as in zombies and humans as the event decks for avacyn restored, they tend to put being good a bit ahead of flavor, but the won't do something like put a three color deck in a land of one or two color cards. The intro pack however tends to have seven or less non-new cards in its list
You mean third?
(It was already in M13 and RTR Event Decks)
They might do it, or they might think three in a row is too many.
Oh, you. Always correcting me. (Was unaware of the m13 one having thrag)
I hope they do. They sell the event decks, and I like it when my LGS does business.

Not a single evolve guy in the simic deck. Wat haha. Not great, not bad. Spark trooper plus silverblade is cute. Should have had the boros reckoner instead of that crappy DKA land.

Feel free to tell me yours!
Simic one is...pretty bad, actually. Seems like a random mix of blue and green creatures. Not sure what it's really going for. And no dual land except gates? Very disappointing. So much potential, and this just seems like a jumbled mess. The only card really worth getting is Thrag (AGAIN in an event deck!)...just a waste. Too bad.
The Boros one, however, looks pretty interesting from a playability standpoint, and from a bargain standpoint. I see easily $40-45 in value there on the rares alone. Add in some great uncommons and commons and you're well over $50, possibly even over $60. (Two Boros Charms, and that's a $4 card right now!) Looks like a fun deck, too. I'll probably go after a copy, especially if it can be found at MSRP.
Simic in particular is not even simic at all... no evolve, pushing thragtusk, no hinterland harbour and random red cards with one mountain... A gruul card and a sphinx... what the hell WotC?!! Will not purchase.
Boros has the most bang for your buck in terms of a good event deck but missing out on the reckoner is a big let down. No hellrider either and a lot of good haste creatures are lacking not to mention the loyalist isn't there either. Probably the only thing i dislike about the deck is the mana; you probably won't be able to play W followed by RR followed by WW.

People would just buy the Simic one for the Thragtusks and Yevas.
See, WOTC learned their lesson. Just by having Thragtusk in the deck, no matter how crappy it is, the deck will sell. And having Yeva in it also makes it that much better.

How many event decks was Mirran Crusader in?
I haven't seen them yet.
There are decklists posted on the Gatecrash Event Deck wiki page, but they are copies of the Golgari Creep and Conquer decklist.
I plan on updating the original post when the actual decklists are announced.
If anyone gets info about the event decks that isn't already in the thread, please add it to the thread.
The Deep Ones
Cyborg Huey's Bosh, Iron Golem Deck
Cyborg Huey's Rosheen Meander Deck
BUGThe Dunwich Horror and Other Lovecraftian TalesBUG
Just 1, it's the same event deck that has stoneforge mystics.

Cool.

Exactly. But they weren't consecutive which I thought was the case so the original post I quoted still has a point there.
Focus: Omnath, Locus of Mana EDH.
Maybe they will release them on Feb 22, so the prices won't rise up lol, in case there is a Thragtusk in one of them.
Basically, we won't know for a few weeks.
just need to see the lists

Yeva Nature's Herald is the reason why Wild Rush is more expensive.
Thrive and Thrash has both. I wonder what the price will be, $50?
