Do you guys think Ghor-Clan Rampager could keep the planeswalkers' prices down? While a lot of people are talking Boros aggro, I can definitely see Gruul aggo (or some sort of 3 color deck) being a thing. Rampager is strong by itself and can turn even small creatures into planeswalker killers. Just a thought.

ghor clan rampager just plays into Orzhov/Azorius charm.
The card's most recent move is on right. means no movement. is a card that wasn't on the list last update. This is the update's hottest mover. (#) is price in CND incl. shipping here.
There remain 22 cards above $4, and therefore worth opening in a booster pack!
Revelation tops the list again this update. I see it as a card that fills a needed spot in Standard (instant card draw, X variability, and in colours that are powerful right now) but nearly complete garbage once it rotates. I won't be holding any copies in a year's time, that's for certain. Deathrite (as it solidifies popularity in multiple formats) comes in tied with Jace for second. Deathrite of course is the rare and Jace the mythic, which just goes to show you that the supply side of the equation (rarity) is just as important as the demand side (needed for decks and collections). Neither can be ignored when looking at the value of a particular item. I expect them both to hold decent value over the long term, and eventually kick Revelation down the tally a ways. Angel of Serenity (once the top card) slumps to $11 in 4th spot, followed of course by the shockduals, which I refuse to drop below $10. They sell there, and they'll never be cheaper than they are right now (barring another reprint, perhaps in 5+ years). Vraska lost another buck but held on to 10th, and Abrupt Decay was unchanged. Armada Wurm continues to fall as predicted, and should never again go above $5 unless a very specific deck arises that needs 3 or 4 copies, and does very well in tournaments. I just don't see it. I have a white/green Timmy deck that I'll throw a copy into, but I can't take it seriously beyond that, and never could. To hear people hyping it as the next big mover makes me raise an eyebrow or three. Ash Zealot at $4 holds 14th spot, pretty good for a card that was $1.50 and ignored for its first 2 or 3 months. Supreme Verdict still hasn't moved but I can see it at $6 or more at some point before it rotates, and even then it won't be a useless card. Those quietly piling them up probably won't be upset about it later. Trostani fell further despite its high power level, possibly giving a hint at what's in store for Obzedat and friends from GC. I think the heavy mana requirements, legendary drawback, and narrow (yet powerful) effects will keep a lid on this supercycle for the most part. Chromatic Lantern, which I predicted would bounce off $2 and move back to $5, has bounced off $2 and returned to the $3+ range. Will it continue up to $5, or is that as far as it will get? Sphere, Bore, Smiter, and Lotleth, all solid rares, sit sadly at the $3 mark and most appear ready to drop off the list. Hard to believe because they show such potential, but that's how it goes. I'll keep my eye on them.
Overall, the set has been selling poorly in the past few weeks. Prices have stabilized, but price stability often cools a market's volume of buying and selling. It's price moves that often bring sales, regardless of which way the price is going. I expect that as the set matures and less boxes are opened, prices of the staples will gain, and sales will be steady.
Box value appears to have settled somewhere in the average range. Currently it's in the neighborhood of GC and INN.

I've heard that Sphinx's Revelation is good enough to see play in modern. We all know it has seen a splash here and there, but people say that the card could be a real player when the season kicks off. I would aso like to say that Revelation doesn't fill a spot in strong colours, Revelation IS the reason those colours are powerful and is really more like a format pillar. Just shouting out, and thanks for the tally again
EDIT: Obviously not the only reason, but one of the biggest reasons (Snapcaster and Geist of Saint Traft are also pretty good cards)
followed of course by the shockduals, which I refuse to drop below $10. They sell there, and they'll never be cheaper than they are right now (barring another reprint, perhaps in 5+ years)
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
DGM won't be putting a huge amount more into the market they have claimed that its about twice as hard to bust a Shockland in DGM then in say RTR or GTC. Even despite the fact that all 10 can appear in a DGM booster pack.

To get a specific Shock, yes. But that's because there are twice as many compared to RTR or GTC (ie DGM includes them all).
The big issue is we are talking about a THIRD printing for shocks. ...starting to get close to Core lands, lol. However, until they rotate from T2, we probably won't see too much of a crash in price though I don't see any going above ~$10 with most being around $6/7 post DGM especially while Modern is hot.
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.

Actually, it was said that it was twice as hard to get any shock in DGM, not accounting for specificity. It is four times harder to get a specific shock in DGM than GTC or RtR due to the 10 shocks vs. 5.

Just a small note, I keep a close eye on the prices at which CardKingdom buys cards. I use them for most of my selling since they are local and such. I'll post a more detailed analysis sometime next week, but something to note...
Abrupt Decay's buy price has doubled over the last two weeks. I think everyone knows it's a safe card to pick up and hold, but it's going up already.
Another mention, Vraska's buy price doubled this week.
Since Im getting ready to list my standard singles onto ebay finally, I went ahead and did a full update and figured I would provide it here for you all as well: As always my prices come from the low end of ebay buy it nows (emphasis on playset/4).

Rares: $53/box
Common/uncommon sets: $8
Foils: $5
Total overall average box value: $84
Looks like the set has overall settled itself out, and some of the cards are beginning to rise, especially ones seeing extensive standard/other tournament format play. Deathrite Shaman continues to rise alongside things like abrupt decay, and ash zealot. Shocklands seem to have hit bottom for the time being (though the additional supply from Dragon Maze should put a stop to any increases and likely cause at least a small drop from their current values. Overall whats taken the largest hit is the mythic values, many of those have dropped, some significaly since a month ago, while the rares have been making traction and going up overall to help increase the box value from its previous lower point. Always appreciate a good set with a good balance between the values of mythics (lower) and rares (higher). Will be interesting to see how the set shapes up long-term I have a feeling we may be seeing that $84 box value rise to $90-$100 by this time next year, easily enough, and possibly as soon as the rotation in the fall.
Anyhow, enjoy the update, Ill post again if time allows, but we'll see how it goes.
Abrupt decay seems to have moved a bit, about a dollar. Anyone else concur?
I feel that way as well, however I don't think it is going to move much more for a little while. People still feel relatively safe in being able to pick them up easily so demand hasn't really gotten to shoot its price up yet.

Thanks for the heads up. I saw a sudden spike in my sales on ebay, between that and your post I prompted myself to check ebay and sure enough $30 shipped was the next lowest, so I adjusted mine accordingly :). Its not all that surprising to me to see it go up a little. Its a fantastic card and its been slowly rising back up after hitting its low a little while back. Hard to say where it will end up at, but I wouldnt be surprised if the steady and slow rise continued on.

Hey Jeff, I saw your auctions on eBay and actually bought a playset of Sphinx's Revelation off of you. Thanks for putting up cards at fair and reasonable prices.

I think it will continue to go up.
It seems more play than Deathrite Shaman in both Standard and Legacy (source: TCDecks). It's not the case in Modern, but apparently, that season just ended. There's no reason for Deathrite to cost nearly double what Abrupt Decay does, so I expect this Abrupt Decay to start climbing.

Due to real-life obligations, I am taking a long break from Magic which may include missing the local Legacy GP. Apologies for not being able to keep my threads updated.
Has Jace AOT hit rock bottom yet? I traded $10 in cards for one the other day and by that night he was down to $8. I think he is some kind of cursed card. lol.
That's probably what people thought of Thundermaw Hellkite when it hit $9.

I think its only a matter of time until Mr. Architect does the same thing, they seem to be unable to make a Jace that doesn't see play. Even the "horrible" Jace's see play eventually or get their time in the sun someday.
