Has anyone tested Possibility Storm?

On the other news, Ruric Thar has been pretty good so far!

I haven't tested Possibility Storm, although I do have one so I might throw it in to mix things up a bit. Honestly though I think it messes a bit too much with consistency and given I seek a combo victory more often than not, I don't think it's worth the chaos.

Glad to hear Ruric Thar is working out I haven't managed to get one yet.

Yeah it probably works better with all permanent/primal surge decks.

Possibility Storm is a lot of fun, and if you don't mind too much about consistency, it's a good card for ramping up his counters. If you have Garruk's Horde in play to bypass the trigger or Cloudstone Curio to reuse creatures it can get bonkers. Creatures with cast triggers (Eldrazi, cascade) are good too.

But yeah, if you need control of what you cast in order to combo out, it's not that good.

Possibility Storm gets a lot better with Garruk's Horde and Magus of the Future or Future Sight. It is a lock of sorts with Teferi.

It is good, but I'm not running any of those cards at the moment, and I'm not sure it stands up on it's own without them in this deck.

In Melek, Riku and Ruric Thar, where you gain extra advantage because your commander improves Possibility Storm, I think it's certainly worth it, but I don't think it suits Animar.

So stumbled upon this combo playing the other day.

You have to have Animar out with at least one counter, 1 island and one colorless mana

soul of the harvest+cloud of faeries + words of wind = infinite Animar and opponent with no permanents

Edit: Oh right I totally forgot about that. After playing half your deck into drawing the rest of it, you forget that it all started with your initial cast of Glimpse of Nature.

You'd also need Soul of the Harvest or the like otherwise you can't activate Words of Wind, don't you?

Words of Wind is looking more and more tempting as a replacement for Equilibrium.

Easier initial cast cost (u instead of uu), effects all players, almost the same activation cost (skipping a draw is a cost).

I run both honestly. But I still think equilibrium does what it does better than words of wind, words just has extra cost of a card draw but the added benefit of being a mini win con. I don't know. I don't run your wincon homeboy, can't remember his name. I'm trying out drawing my deck, then firestorm to discard an eldrazi and all but seven cards plus an eldrazi to do a chunk of damage. I used to run apocalypse hydra when I had the food chain/misthollow griffin infinite mana combo. When I cut them for a clone and a counter, started lookin for something else. Might go back with the recent rule change, plus, doing being able to deal infinite damage is so key against some decks that gain infinite life...

Against infinite life decks, just use Animar for Commander damage
