When this general was spoiled I immediately looked up the cards from my dismantled Wrexial discard deck. Although I had some fun with it, my meta doesn't play a lot of interesting sorceries and instants, so I got a bit bored. Nekusar gives me additional discard spells in the wheels, but also gives me an accessible source of dmg to my opponents so I always have at least 1 win-con. Here's the deck I made.
I thought I would just put my deck out there. I would like to play a bit of grindy game. My meta does not like fast combo's (turn 5-6 wins), and neither do I. What I would like to do is to slowly gain an advantage over my opponents and eventually blow them out of the water in one turn or slowly drain their life. What do you think about this set-up? Any advice? I like how this deck can kill pretty fast and also enables you to play a great portion of your deck.
23-10-2013. Just realized that playing a lot of wheels means that to take full advantage, you actually need a lot of mana fast, and that you need to dig to get your wheels. This way you can cast a lot of cards before you draw 7 again.. Trying to weed out the slower cards. In addition, I want to build this deck in paper, so no Timetwister, etc.

Rise of the Dark Realms and/or Sepulchral Primordial could be awesome alternative threats, but you might have too many Time Reversal-esque effects for it to be reliable. You should try one or two, though! If you don't go that route and your meta has lots of graveyard-using decks, perhaps Leyline of the Void might be a good proactive measure.
When brewing for this commander, I had considered a Notion Thief and Laboratory Maniac combo to compliment the wheels/windfalls.
I second the above mentioned Forced Fruition since it snowballs damage so quickly.
Thank! Good luck with your iteration of the deck ^^ I considered Seizan, Perverter of Truth but like him substantialy less than the wheel effects and Forced Fruition as he deals less damage and the amount of cards is still reasonable so my opponent won't have to discard as much. Basically, I don't really want to give them a card a turn, I qant to give them 7 or more each time. Forced Fruition therefore definitely deserves a spot...
Of course I forgot Reliquary Tower, it's already in my pile. I'm doubtful about venser's journal, lil expensive CMC.

Thank you! Thought about the spiral, don't know if I need more wheel spells? The artifact is one I can't copy, therefore I think I'll pass (although I think it would work if I need more wheels). With regard to GY recursion: I thought about it. Of course there are many things to consider here, from cheap spells like Animate Dead to bombs like the Primordial. I do think it would dilute the deck a bit and it would also start to look more like my MBC. Therefore I think I will keep it in mind, but I won't include it as of yet. Its a good alternative strategy though! The Lab maniac is cute, will test it
Added Niv-Mizzet, The Firemind and Curiosity to add some resilience with another 2-card combo. In addition they both work well in the deck solo. Curiosity on Nekusar is nice, 'cause card advantage is king, and Niv-Mizzet works very well with all the wheels in the deck and Mind over Matter gives him another 2 card combo.
The Eldrazi legends could be useful, but I would probably go for Kozilek. However, these cards are very expensive for what they actually do. I'd rather spend that cash on Dream Halls and Time Spiral.
Added Library of Leng because I think it's a good option to be able to chain wheels.
Played a few games last weekend and this weekend. Additionally, I did some testruns. I think the deck is fun and creates situations that have not come up yet in my playgroup, but it's also kind of easy to deal with as of yet. In addition, I think I need a little more removal of my own. I adjusted the decklist I'm currently using accordingly. I also saw the merit of having as much low mana cost cards as possible because you can really dump your hand on the battlefield and wheel through to a new one with this deck. Anything >6 CMC is probably a no-go.
Good suggestions. Was already thinking about Evac, but Devestation Tide would be nice as well. I'm also think about a little more deterrents. Stinkweed Imp could be nice, as you can recur it easily and you won't mind discarding it either.
No Chaos Warp ? Seems like if you want removal it would be great. I'd add Scroll Rack too to help you chain the wheels even more.
I would add an eldrazi titan to this list. I feel like a deck that packs a ton of responses/counters could force you to deck yourself. This is just on first glance. I would feel really naked running a deck like this without one.
Still haven't obtained an Eldrazi Titan (expensive, and getting even more expensive). However, I've obtained some other cards and changed the deck around a bit: more draw, more rocks and less lands. Continually wheeling until you hit your goodstuff and have enough mana to go off is the tactic here. Added counterspells and some mass bounce to help stall until I get to that stage. Should I add more of those?
