True, but there's clearly going to be a cycle - which is unlikely to be based on beasts! Given the blue martyr's ability, it's still possible that it follows the Scent and Seer cycle, but with tweaks where they were considered necessary - hence the name Martyr of Ashes (as opposed to Cinders).

OK, the last image is not Allosaurus Rider, but something that looks quite like it. Maybe another Allosaurus

Thanks, chaos! "Jokulmorder" = "Glacierkiller", more or less, so you can see where they're going with the name. "Icebreaker" would be an option, but it's a bit prosaic, and I think a made-up Magic word is more likely. Given the exsitence of Jötun Grunt (and Jokulhaups!), it's possible it'll be something like Jökulslayer.

Can you see the collector numbers, chaos?

Jokulslayer 4uuu
Creature - Leviathan (r)
Trample
Jokulslayer comes into play tapped.
When Jokulslayer comes into play, sacrifice it unless you sacrifice five lands.
Jokulslayer doesn't untap during your untap step.
Whenever you play an Island, you may untap Jokulslayer.
12/12

Martyr of Frost
Creature - Human Wizard (u)
, Reveal X blue cards from your hand, Sacrifice Martyr of Frost: Counter target spell unless its controller pays
x.
"You shouldn't call the Balduvians barbarians. Their magic is as powerful as it is ancient"
- Zur the Enchanter

1/1

Surging Strength 2g
Enchantment - Aura (u)
Enchant creature
Enchanted creature gets +2/+2.
Ripple 4 (When you play this spell, you may reveal the top four cards of your library. You may play any revealed cards with the same name as this spell without paying their mana costs. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.)

IMO ripple could be good with library thinning effects. Bring back Mana Severance!

Snow-Covered Mountain is drawn by John Zeleznik

There are also german versions of Glacial Plating (called Gletscherüberzug), Karplusan Strider (Karplusanischer Wanderer), Feast of Flesh (Fest des Fleisches) and Commandeer (Einziehen). 3 Promotional Pics are also on the Page (one is Allosaurus Rider, one is the Aurochs from the Aurochs Precon and the third is the Wizard from the UB Precon) and Clear pictures for all five snow covered lands.

I attached the images for the cards. Maybe someone will get better quality.

Edit: Added artists
can you try to put a light by the side of the scanner so maybe it will come clearer...would be really aprecciated!

I do believe that's the normal pic of the Allosaurus Rider. So you were right the first time.

Well, there is no guarantee for it, but my dictionary gave me a few possibilities to translate "wogend" into english, and the "surging" (like the already know card Surging Flame) was among them, I thought this might form a cycle of Ripple 4 cards.

ripple reminds me a bit on scrye. besides they work together quite good.
there was a rumor for scrye being reused with other numbers than scrye 2. i think the same will be true for ripple. the y will only give us ripple 4 cards by now, so they can use rtipple variants in future sets.

The scans are a bit easier to make out post-Photoshop.

Pointless observation: I just noticed that in the artwork for both the Martyrs that we have, the Martyr is directing his/her magic according to his/her colour's position on the colour wheel (the WUBRG "circle" on the back of a MTG card), such that both seem to be focusing on the same central point. Might be coincidence, but I hope not. I really like it when cycles are tied together on more than just mechanics and/or names.

no, this is allosaurus rider. remember, what we have right now is the prerelease version of the card, which always has an alternate art. so the pic we have for the rider right now is not the one that will be on the actaul, in booster packs card.

i like the cycle of martyrs so far, they're pretty good. as for ripple, well...i hope the ripple number varies, and it's not just set at 4 (like scry was always set at two...it would have been awesome if it had varied ).

There was a cycle of white enchantments that prevented damage from different colour sources that had the same colour-wheel-directional thing going on. Cool observation. I, too, hope it proves true.

I couldnt tell you the article now, but somewhere on mtg.com they said that they originally did have scry at different levels and anything more then 2 was disgustingly broken. Originally Magma Jet was scry 3 if I remember correctly and they said it was just too good.
