I seriously doubt he's a snow creature beause 4 is already a very low number for an ability that gives you very cheap repeatable bounce that can even hit their land. If he counted for it that would mean you would just have to have 3 of your 5 lands to play him be snow, or less if you have some cheap snow creatures.

Still waiting for screenshots though Nice cards! For a minute there I thought Heidar might be broken, but then I realized Temporal Adept is in 9th and not stirring up too much trouble. Of course Heidar is much friendlier on mana and has a much bigger butt, but it also comes online 2 turns later and is kind of conditional.

Garza Gol looks promising, though expensive. I'n not quite sure if it will pay off to play it. Between her and Niv-Mizzet I'm itching to include Dimir Signet and Seething Song in a casual deck

Garza is a dissapointment. A three color card without green for mana fixing is next to useless. The card itself is fine, but too clunky to cast. I guess those speculating on it being black were only 1/3 right.

garza may be overcosted but in a bru aggro-control deck with some mana acceleration might be a good finisher(is a 5/5 vampiric flyer that gives card advantage after all).
The gutless ghoul might become the answer to the mono black and BR decks' lack of life gain(and becomes great in a deck with the dark confidant). If coldsnap's black is good enough we might see the return of the monoblack competitive deck(oh i really hope so)

Let me just be the first to say...
I hope that WoTC didn't put some of their preview article cards in the bumps, besides the Yeti...
I guess technically we weren't supposed to have seen the other ones yet, so they certainly could have done this.
(Wonder when more will air...)

Have I mentioned how excellent an ad campaign this is? I remember the bumps for Ravnica, and I hope they do this again for Time Spiral.
The uber adept seems like it should be a snow creature himself...doesn't he? I guess it makes the ability tougher.
I added the first two cards to the spoiler, the adept looks like it isn't sure enough to add.

What did the Marit Lage token look like?

Garza Zol is ridiculously overcosted, but her haste and almost immediate card advantage make her a decent option for a sort of "haste reanimator", at least while Goryo's Vengeance remains in Standard, if you can find a good sacrifice outlet. With other interesting-yet-overcosted UBR creatures (Stalking Vengeance, for instance, which also has some nifty synergy with sacrifices - like the ones caused by Footsteps of the Goryo, for instance). Running mana fixers in the form of signets and maybe mana acceleration like Desperate Ritual and/or Seething Song could make the deck quite fast, despite the lack of green mana. And while you're not busy reviving fatties and accelerating your mana, Gifts can dump things smack dab into your graveyard for your convenience. The deck could reliably deal quite a bit of damage a turn (Footsteps a Garza Zol or, if the field is clear, a Vengeance). It might actually be a viable option, if only for casual.

Gutless Ghoul isn't stellar, but it's not supposed to be. It does what it says it does, and that's it. Might prove useful, might not.

Heidar looks a bit overcosted, but he'll keep your opponent stuck at five-six mana most of the time. He could be scary in a blue-green deck (the mana requirement effectively prevents Temporal Adept from being played outside of mono-blue), with Time of Need and a fistful of mana acceleration. Get four snow lands into play really quickly, fetch/play a Heidar, and summarily freeze your opponent's mana. Added bounce is just gravy.

Weeee; lots of deck ideas!

I think that Garza Zol will se competitive play. WIth all the new rav duals, pains and signets she shoudln't be that hard to cast. She would need to be in the the right deck or she would suck. Deathmark is OK, at most its a sideboard card. The Ghoul would have been INSANE, but it costs 2 to use. I really dont think that I personally have seen enough of the set yet to draw any sort of judgement on any cards together. I really think Garza is good and she is my favorite color combo. the mind juices are flowing, lets get some more spoiler!

I think a bigger Starved Rusalka would hardly be even playable, let alone insane.

And the Ghoul looks definitely white to me. (white should get more sacrifice - martyrdom and all that babbling.)

Maybe he is a Snow Creature, and his ability says "When you control four OTHER snow permanenets..." which wouldmake sense, at least in my mind.
ANy way great find, kudos to UD.

Okay sorry about the double post, and thanks for clearing that up. I was just curious.

But why include the extra wording? Why not just make him a Snow permanent (which he probably should be, given that he is the leader of the Snow resurgance) and have the ability be conditioned on controlling five snow permanents?

yeah that would make sense, I'm just saying, since the card was reported at four, maybe the word other was in there somewhere. it's easier to forget the word 'other' more so than messing up two different numbers, though not out of the realm of possibility I suppose.

Either way would work to the same extent, the only difference, would be the Snow Super-Type(it's a Super right?) would affect other gameplay situations, though I do agree with you that it would make more sense for him to be a Snow Creature.

I'm going to find a place for Garza in my Rakdos aggro-control that already splashes blue for Rise.

I may also try to add it to my Tronless URG Tron deck by adding a single Swamp to fetch with Elder/Reach. That, with SSS, is nasty.
