Default [PC] Braids & Frenetic Sliver (and some timeshifted stuff)

Greetings rumor mill lurkers and enthusiasts, A couple more cards and info have come in from multiple channels.

Firstly, our little lady from Odyssey:

Braids, Conjurer Adept (Name NOT 100% yet)
2uu
legendary creature - Human wizard
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player puts a creature, land, enchantment or artifact from his or her hand into play.
2/2
Rare.

*Hydro runs from stone throwing Braids lovers...

Hey, It's not my fault the opponent gets first "put in"...

And another Sliver to add to the list...(form the uncommon multicolored cycle) it's an interesting take on the Mirage card Frenetic Efreet:

Frenetic Sliver
1UR
Creature - Sliver
All Slivers gain flying and have "0: If this creature is in play, flip a coin. If you win the flip, remove this creature from the game, then return to play under it's owners control at end of turn. If you lose the flip, sacrifice this creature."
1/1
uncommon.

Also I can tell you that Red gets a tmeshifted Argothian Wurm and the Pestilence (Called Pyro-somehting), and Black gets a shifted Forgotten_Hope... er... I mean, Forgotten Lore...

Please feel free to discuss, and please give special thanks to our info gatherers and informers.

Please keep all posts and discussion on topic, and spice it up with some content please!

A Frenetic Efreet effect sliver and a Show and Tell Braids.

They are both a bit too casual for my tastes, but still great work, Hydro!

But Argothian Wurm and Forgotten Lore reprints are sick!

That braids is really trippy. I'm not sure about her, I'm kinda dissapointed.

The sliver is interesting, I don't like coin flips, but at least that takes up all the flip hits in the orb.

Wow, Braids! Does she mean from hand? Or graveyard?

Cool cards, good find.

Edit: The big problem with Braids is that your opponent gets to do it first...

Wow... lot of nice cards there. The Forgotten lore isn't two great, but I'm sure Argothian Wurm and maybe pestilence will see some play. Frenetic sliver as well, maybe.

Brage, The-Assistant-of-All.. Seems like Braids willing to do something for others - Braids seen in post-Odyssey books. Like the card!
Edit: seems the inspiration could've been Dreamborn Muse...

Sliver? Lovely.

I guess the Frenetic Sliver is a decent replacement for Winged Sliver in standard. not great, but workable.

These two cards made me really unhappy! Braids is supposed to be big, and do some thing cool! Who needs coin flips? Coin flips are just so seriously random! (but i guess mana screw is the same)

They managed to worsen Braids. A lot. Oh well, the original still kicks ass. Argothian wurm and Pestilence will both be pretty sweet for red and both are excellent choices for the shift. I don't know about Forgotten lore, could be good, but I'm not sold on it untill I see it in action.

The sliver is decent especially since you would only do it if your facing like a wrath. Also if your gonna throw burn at a sliver same deal might as well flip have a 50% chance of saving it.

Braids is an intresting card and may be broken in the proper deck.

Well, that definitely isn't how I thought Blue Braids would end up, but that's really pretty good, IMO. Even though your opponent gets the first crack at the ability, there should be plenty of ways in blue to deal with it.

FINALLY !!!!!

So Braids mirrors her original ability - instead of saccing, players are putting the permanents into play.

Well, at least she has a nice picture. But wait...if you play plenty of 187s or bouncers, it can be enough to deal with things that came from your opponent's hand.

Also, it seems that the name will not have "mage" in it, it's probably taken by the red goblin Firefright Mage. But I wish to have at least Riptide there.

Forgotten Lore? Frenetic Sliver? Red Pestilence? Neat additions.

Thanks a lot, bro!

Actually, that Braids is pretty good with the discard blue and black have now.

I was expecting something like the frenetic sliver once I saw frenetic in the orb list. The original was quite good, actually.

A red pestilence pretty much guarantees that mono-red stuffy doll will be nigh-unstoppable.

Wow, Braids + Paradox Haze = tons of fun.

And a red Pestilence? My crazy silly casual heart leaps in joy.

Braids is an odd bird, erm girl. At the one hand I like her ability, but she's legendary, and vulnerable, so personally, I'd rather keep playing my green Hypergenesis deck (where Priveledged Position insures some protection).
She's fun, but purely casual and even there I think Hypergenesis and Show and Tell are nicer.

The Sliver can be pretty nice, either being able to save your slivers from lethal combat damage, or to trigger cip effects (or both). And it's one of the most characteric abilities of RU, with coinflips

Argothian Wurm Timeshifted? That's really nice, but wasn't Argothian Wurm deemed to good/game altering? I remember something like that...
At any rate, land destruction will gladly play that, and in combination with the new Armageddon (and you playing signets, elves etc), could be pretty good.

Pestilence is nice, especially since red has a lot of 'protection from red' creatures.

Forgotten Lore... hmmm could be okay, but even the Ravnican Regrowth wasn't played much, so I wouldn't expect this either.
