These cards are all mediocre.

Everyone's going to be raving about the Big Black Dragon, but when you think about it, it's not that great of a deal. You have to remove four cards before it even becomes decently priced, and even then, you've only got a 5/5 flyer. You have a lot of work to do to set it up.
Its true power, and the power of the Delve mechanic, lie within its synergy with Shrouded Lore. Hello, card selection.

Actually, I believe you are the one who needs to RTFC.

Thanks for reporting! Any chance to get the type of Tombstalker (Demon, I'd expect)?

Par of the course of the IQ I remember. I'd think we may be able to work out the real one regardless.

Of all of the Reverse Damage clones that have been made, I like this one best.
It is just so crazy useful to play a spell like that on credit. It also makes me a little worried what the blue card in the cycle could be...

The black card...woo. Reminds me of other mechanics, save for the fact that it is a non-reusable cost like Convoke or Affinity (Convoke you just have to wait to untap)

The red card is nice limited trick. Decent as far as red goes, and possibly better than timebug if you are going red.

Red Elemental + Greater Garganoun (SP)/Wheel of Fate might be fun casual Combo...

Interesting. Maybe, with all of the timeshifted cards of the future, they made a different border; like what they could do in the future...

rift elemental seems like it could be a good johnny card when combined with johnny cards that have suspend (or vanishing)

The pact is nice nothing beats having that in hand in a heavy counter deck and tap out of mana waiting for that big demonfire then you do that to it.

The red creature is decent but nothing amazing as said I think it will be a decent pick in limited.

It's also not unsual for those with subscriptions to get magazines a bit early I seem to get my magazines about 4-5 days before they are on the stands.

um tombstalker removes the card from the game therefore dredge nope not a good thing

Rift Elemental actually looks quite nice for Limited (Blademane Baku, anyone?), particularly in UR.

Tombstalker is nice. It would be quite interesting to see it in a block that also has Haunt in it, a la Threshold/Flashback in Odyssey.

Can't really say anything that Seds hasn't already said about the Pact.

Lunan, Dredge is probably the easiest and fastest way to fill up your graveyard to get Tombstalker out, which I believe is what the others were referring to. A second turn LftL almost guarantees that Tombstalker is played fourth turn, and a Black 5/5 Flyer might be worth that kind of investment.

well, pyre had also a number related to it, but the way it's worded, it's much cleaner.

i DO like tombstalker.

going fetch, 2x dark ritual ---> tombstalker on turn 1 is damn sexy!

at worst, it's a 5/5 flyer for 3bb or 4bb without ANY drawback because it's just natural that you dump cards into the yard. Ya for fetchlands!

edit: wait - just realized it's timeshifted - does that mean it has that crappy new frame design?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

In a dredge deck, there are many useless cards you get in your graveyard while dredging. You remove those cards with it.

He is insane.

Everyone is seeming to forget that there is also a t2 Dredge deck.

Any word on if the card frame is the same as Imperiosaur? i'm interested to know if the shifted frame varies by color like it did in PC.

Just realized something: With tombstalker coming, that makes it pretty likely that they won't have to much dredge in FS.

I like these cards. These are interesting and balanced designs.

Yeah, but in that T2 dredge deck, but a 5/5 flier, even for 3BB or 2BB, is good, but not "insane." It'd be insane if it had untargetability or something...I mean, what would you take out? Golgari Grave-troll dredges, this doesn't; and Golgari Grave-troll has regeneration. I suppose it could replace some of the fattie slots like Bogardan Hellkite or Akroma that were getting reanimated by Dread Return, but those creatures have their own advantages.

We won't be seeing the full capabilities of delve yet, I don't think; this is a timeshifted card, and multiple delve cards rather than just one would make the mechanic more of one you could build a whole deck around.
