[FS] Goldmeadow Lookout & Fatal Attraction (post #52)

One day after my aborted mission of factfinding I found a piece of paper in my snailmailbox. It only said: "I'm disappointed, try again! I've got this Fatal Attraction for you ........").

Then I noticed there were some indented grooves in the paper. I've watched CSI so I blackened them with my pencil, and I could decipher the following text:

Goldmeadow Lookout

Creature - Kithkin Spellshaper

,

, discard a card: Put a 1/1 white Kithkin Soldier creature token named Goldmeadow Harrier into play with "

,

:Tap target creature."

Definitely a limited playable card, make creature tokens + combat tricks usually are higher picks than not :P

How's that for an annoyance in limited? How's that for an iconic creature??

I thought the critter shapers made iconic creatures. Like Squire.

Intriguing. So the white creature shaper shapes new creatures. That makes me wonder what the blue could be.

possibly with card draw it might be good..... hmmm or some graveyard strategies to complement it....

The fact that it has only

in the cc makes it rather spashable =)

Wow. So the white creatureshaper makes a creature that hasn't been printed yet! Wonder when Goldmeadow Harrier will be printed... I suppose it'll be on the partial spoiler of the first set with "Goldmeadow" stuff in it.

In any case, this card is awesome. If you have a lot of white mana, you can just make tokens and lock your opponent's team out of the game. Admittably you have to use up cards to do this, and it DOES get mana intesive, but it still deals with lots of stuff. Subterranean Shambler just got better.

Strange... Why Llanowar Mentor costs 1 mana, when this costs 4? Imho, the Mentor is much better even for 4 mana...

limited strong but pretty boring, at 2/2 for 4 it won't see play elsewhere.

How is Master Decoy not iconic in white? (I know im snarthed but still) Discarding extra lands to make 1/1 W

: 'make you suffer' cards = gg imo.

I hope that this is not the only replacement for Glare once Rav cycles out. It would be sad if the new Glare will be so underpowered.... creatures only, [mana]W[/card] to put a new taptool into play, which can't be used for a turn (plus a card from hand) then

a turn later to use the new taptool.

Mind Over Matter -> Opposition->Telekinetic Bonds->Glare of Subdual->this? Disapointing.

No guarentee of course that this is the situation. Looked at on it's own as a quasi-Master Decoy generator... very nice.
